12 Moments of Anime: This End Was So Damn Pretty~

day02-00

The final episode of Munto or Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai. Really. It was just…incredibly pretty. Oh so very, very pretty. I can think of a hundred more ways to say it, but that’s all it basically amounts to.

I think I have more fondness for this series than I would for others because it wasn’t discussed very much. Being underrepresented in the blogosphere allowed me to form my own opinions and to create my own fond memories. Memories that remained untarnished because it wasn’t the next big thing from KyoAni and it didn’t need a hatedom to compete with its fandom and talk about how overrated it was. Because it wasn’t overrated, it was just…what it was.

Shugo Chara! – Okay…you can watch this one. (Party! 07)

party07-00

This is a filler done right guys.  Nadeshiko makes her reappearance to Amu and there’s cute Rimahiko-ness going on too. No filler characters. It’s just three of the main cast, with the emphasis not even on the two secondary ones of the trio. This is what fillers can be good for. Giving development to secondary main characters and giving the fans what they want. Like when we got to see Kairi again.

Now, I couldn’t help but fangirl for this episode because it’s fun, but I suggest you watch the episode before reading, because hype can kill your enjoyment in something. Fall for it yourself.

Kobato. 02-04 – Wish…Filler…?

kobato02-04-00

As most Kobato. fans know, the anime was technically going to adapt their other manga Wish, which actually connects to Kobato. anyway. Kobato. includes many crossovers, but like Tsubasa (and Holic) actually connected to the CCS story, it seems that Kobato. does the same with Wish.

Not that I ever read Wish. I hope no fellow CLAMP fans get on my case when I say this, but CLAMP works can be hit and miss with me. Wish is a miss…for me. Great CLAMP-ish work I’m sure, but not for me. So I’ve been meh on the whole wish adaptation all along. Not against it, just…don’t really care about it.

First Impressions – Seiken no Blacksmith

snb01-00Yes, this is the screencap I choose to represent this fantasy series.

It was fun. :) This seems to be how I always feel about a new fantasy show but…uh…this time I mean it! Because it was literally fun, not just enjoyable. For me anyway.

The promising thing about a fantasy show will always be if there’s something else to draw me in. I like fantasy, but with few exceptions, ones that run on pure questing and stuff bore the hell out of me. So I need certain other things. Certain fangirling things…Certain shippy things…

…The main girl is totally the embarrassed tsundere type (as seen above). Justification for watching it right there for me.

Shugo Chara! 100 – IT’S HUGGING TIME GUYZ~!

sc100f00

F— YEAH! (Though this is post huggin~ So you guys will be forced to cry MOAR! and get into the rest of the post~ It’s teasin’ huggins~)

This is what shoujo’s all about. Hugging and crying during huggin~ and saying each others’ names and…well all that stuff~ (There’s FLOATING too guyz!!!) (Oh god I’m dying over here~)

Now surrender your cold heart broken by fillers to the sheer force of…well the mahou shoujo hug. *srsly dying*

Fuyu’s 19th Birthday & Adventures in NYC

adventures

This post is late. It’s now been a week since I’ve been home. Heh.

Anyway, as I stated in Weekly Extra…a couple of times. My family was heading out to New York City for a “reconnaissance” trip for NYAF. Of course, me being me and my mother being my mother, it was more detours of being sparkly-eyed at anime merchandise and various tourist-y stops.

But overall, it was a productive few days. I have a pile of merchandise. Both for my birthday and from New York City (and one things that’s both!). So plenty to brag about while I recount my (boring) wanderings in NYC.
