I decided to just go ahead and be straight-forward in the title. Since that’s all that really needs to be said and the rest of this overly long post is going to be explanations and very vague plans.

I’m “taking a break” from blogging, but without any real plan of when I’ll come back. I’d even add an “if” just so I don’t have to put the pressure on myself to come back if I don’t want to. And if I do come back I really doubt I’ll be blogging the same way that I have been. I’m just not really up to it.

It’s not so much that blogging itself has lost my interest, but more that it’s anime that I’m not that into. Somewhat. I suppose. I’ll try to explain properly.

I don’t know what’s up with all of these “Winter” updates and changes people are doing. Other seasons don’t warrant it, so why does Winter? Because Winter = The effing Holidays! Just be honest you dorks! And with that said, the true Holiday season doesn’t officially start in my part of the world until we can finally shove aside those turkeys. For the Friday after Thanksgiving is Black Friday and we start buying shit.

Buying Shit = Holidays. That is the way America works. (On a personal note it’s “Christmas Songs = Holidays” so I’ve been in the mood for a while now.)

So uh…long story short….banners and site updates! Yay!

Originally I intended to go ahead with this stuff after I got my NYAF posts up, but since that’s looking pretty impossible I decided to go ahead with my official reworking to get my mind off of my total depression (that post was so long and now it’s gone ).

To be perfectly honest I decided on the new way I’d be doing things like…one week into my hiatus, but it’s all taken a while after I’ve gotten back because I wanted a new theme to go along with my (insignificant) changes. It’s symbolic you guys!

But first an explanation on other sitely thing (my NYAF post ).

Yes, even if you attended NYAF as well my weekend was better because I probably enjoyed it more. Because I just always enjoy things to the maximum!

…Actually that’s a lie, plenty of things went wrong with my weekend, but I’d like to save all of that from another time. This is more of just an update post.

I’ve been considering this for a few days now, so I finally decided to just put it out there. I’m going to take a break until the Fall shows come out. Not quitting. Just taking a break so I don’t get too “meh” or stressed and then want to quit.

I want to “rebuild” my blog in a way that suits me the way I am now. I created the blog when I was 17 and basically stuck at home all day long. Now I’ve got a job and am much more active so I just don’t have the same priorities. So I need to change things to better suit my current self rather than struggling through eternal meh-ness.

Not to say that I’ll have my blog die in the time until then. I have my Fall preview which is 90% done and a fun(er) post on the past few Shugo Chara! episodes. Plus with Shugo Chara! becoming more plot-relevant this very Saturday, I doubt I can really avoid blogging. My inner-fangirl will command me. I’ll probably double up on episodes to make it easier though and cut back on my “MUST COMMENT ON EVERY FIVE SECONDS OF THE SHOW!!!11″

I actually have more of an editorial planned on explaining why I need the break, but the simple reason would be so that in a stress-free way I can rebuild my blog in a way that it will be more fun for the current me. There. For once a simple explanation.

Any questions I’ll answer as soon as I can in the comments. Rather than postponing for weeks like I do on more in-depth posts.

Picture Unrelated (as usual with these posts)

I’ve been missing for a short period of time. Normally I’d apologize about that, but I don’t really feel the need. It was a well-deserved break. I’m sure people (the one who matter) would be more displeased with me forcing myself onto the computer to just say sorry that I can’t get on when they hear the circumstances.

Anyway, the circumstances lead me to believe that a break has become necessary, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. Taking a break. But people should already be familiar with my inability to take a complete hiatus, so it’s more like…I’m not planning any posts. Stuff will just come out whenever it happens to come out.
