Seriously. Apparently we have a third season of Shugo Chara coming up with another random word tacked onto the end. This time it’s “Shugo Chara Party!” What exactly the party is…I don’t know. But there wasn’t all that much Doki this season either.

I guess it could just be “party” because that’s all the guardians really can do after the current arc is over because their enemy is supposed to be defeated. Have a big season-long party over it. Or…let’s start taking bets that they fail halfway up the tower and then in fifty episodes they’ll go to yet another tower. *only half-joking*

EDIT: Oh god. It’s worse than I thought.

Ah~ I miss these short news posts. More than anything though, I obviously miss having a reason to do them. Kobato~<3 You can just consider this the first in a long line of pimpage posts for what will surely be one of my favorite anime.

So voices for the two main characters have been announced as have the artists singing the opening and ending songs. Some “as expected” “hmm…that could work” and surprises await. Hopefully good on anything unexpected, but we’ll just have to see. I just want to remind everyone as usual to keep an open mind. Nothing ticks me off more than someone running off and immediately deciding, “No!!! This is gonna suck!!!”

It’s called “Sakura-Hime Kaden” [桜姫華伝 (さくら ひめ かでん)] which as a simplified, not exact translation, could be “Sakura Princess Legend” or something~ (I had to find the kanji and get help with the third one). So more specific might me “Sakura Princess Flower Legend” if you translate all the kanji separately (kaden in romajii doesn’t seem to mean much).

It should be starting in the…January issue of Ribon? Which would be released 12/01/08 (right?). I’m not sure, someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Edit: Still don’t know what it’s about exactly, but someone translated the blue text and it seems it will be a historical series. The Heian era specifically (meaning SUPER pretty kimono drawn by Arina-sensei!)

Ah thank you to everyone who cleared things up so quickly. I really appreciate it. The only real service I can offer is gathering this information in one place since my Japanese is so very, very limited. I appreciate all the tips and I’m sure anyone else reading this does too.

Well, since the new “season” is coming out soon there’s a few things I want to clarify and all that before we plunge into what will likely be another fifty episodes. I’ve ended up collecting some information through tips and things I just stumble on, so I thought I’d share it with anyone who still hasn’t stumbled onto this sort of information. Now you can stumble onto it all in one place.

Things are still unclear and mostly rumors, but there’s going to be a Shugo Chara! “event” tomorrow. So hopefully things will become clear soon.

Begin Super EDIT!!!! Yeah, ANN was completely wrong it seems. Thanks to usagijen for giving us all the correct seiyuu. Even if it’s still “unofficial” at this point. ANN teaches us it’s better to be safe than sorry it seems.

The day an anime site that has “Anime News” in the title gets news completely wrong is a day where I feel like I have to smack my head against the wall…repeatedly.

I wonder if this is just my mind playing tricks on me, but with this news it seems like I can remember ANN announcing that their encyclopedia was easier to edit or something. Maybe this is just some stupid fangirl’s idea of a prank and we should get our own grudge demons to go and attack her.
