Finally! Months after initially telling everyone about an adorable Rin plushie and about how I so totally needed it. I have her. And she is so worth all of the heartache (relative to fiction as in shallow fangirl heartache that is) I had to go through to get her.

In other news…I have quite randomly disappeared on this blog. But I have no excuses so we’ll ignore that and just get on with the ultimate “ohmygodRin!!!” rabid fangirling. *sets up Rin’s character songs* Let’s get this kitty-loving girl love on the road.

As those who have been readers of my blog since wp.com may recall (heck even after because I’ve referenced it quite often) my very first real figure (like scale, pvc goodness~) was a Natsume Rin from Kotobukiya.

I was very pleased with her being my first figure and all. Kotobukiya isn’t one of the absolute best companies, but they certainly don’t render adorable girls unrecognizable. It’s so sad when you can tell you don’t want a figure by the pictures the company themselves put out to make you want it.

Anyway, there was only one figure that came out that I wanted more than this one (oh god that one was beautiful) because all of the others fell on the awkward or plain “No!! What are you doing to my Rin!? *gigantic heaving sobs*” side of things. I’m still hoping that Good Smile will see it in their oh-so-generous hearts to make me a lovely Rin figure that I will immediately buy. Seeing as Kud-chan got the treatment, I think the main heroine deserves a look too.

So…as you can see. Kotobukiya Rin is my one piece of Rin merchandise. So 1 x 3 = 3 -> 3 – 1 = 2

Therefore…I received two things today!

Chibi Rin keychain!

God knows I love my chibi-ness…especially in keychain form. Or plushies. Nendoroids are damn cute so I guess I love them as figures too. Basically, I just love chibi overall.

I had my eye on this keychain for quite some time. Before it was released in fact. But I didn’t want to pay for shipping just for a keychain. It just didn’t feel worth it. So I figured if it was still available I’d pick it up whenever I needed to order something else. Having it be a full-blown double Rin order was just wonderful though. Oh god I squee’d when I got the package just knowing what was inside.

Yes…which brings me to my final favoritest item. My favorite Rin item and my favorite plushie. She’s just…way too cute.

Oh god huggable Rin! I love everything about her~ Especially her little ponytail~ And the real bell that comes in her hair. So cute!

Now to prevent just uncontrollable incoherent-ness (oh gawd the little skirt and ribbon~) I’ll talk about the previously mentioned “heartache.”

…Two days after I posted about her they closed up preorders…gragh!!! See…I had to be careful to approach my parents because at the time I didn’t have a job (bah! Got one just a week after!). So telling them about $30 plus shipping for a stuffed little plushie…does not translate well to  them when I don’t have a job. When I do, they easily understand because it’s my money. But even if it’s just a loan…well you know

I signed up for the waiting list instead and when it was released I got an e-mail…but it was sold out already by the time I went to the site. I even sent an e-mail asking if it was just a glitch, but apparently they sold out in the hour after they updated. Damn you Rin fanboys!

I signed up again and this happened again at some point near the end of summer. Double damn you fanboys!!!

It’s been a decent amount of time since the original release in June so I was really forgetting and getting over it. But when I woke up at 5am on October 19th, 2009…I discovered an e-mail! As soon as my dad got up I demanded his credit card and just days later…Rin~ The day after my supreme happiness of getting that other package too. (Post coming soon I’m sure)

Now I have a nice little Rin collection. Still want more, but right now there aren’t any upcoming releases I’m too excited. *sigh~* I’d really say that I want KyoAni to be getting to Little Busters! soon, but not until I’m sure they can handle differing art styles again. Otherwise I’m all for P.A. Works since their promo images for Angel Beats! are quite nice and I’ve heard good things about other anime they’ve handled. Though I guess I should wait for the actual anime…spring please?

Really though…can’t wait for an anime. I’m sure there will be some guaranteed issues of Megami I’ll want to buy. And now I even have a plushie to hug in place of the actual thing when a walking, talking Rin is being damn adorable. Because she will be. She will be. (Rin for SaiMoe 20XX!!!)

Bringing this brief fangirl derailing (hey, at least it’s still on topic with Rin, Little Busters!, and Key) back to reality. I would recommend this plushie to any major Rin fans who appreciate having something to hug…something with more decent ideas in mind to hug anyway, since Rin dakimakura are also often available (Ecstasy is an eroge after all).

Unfortunately, both the Rin keychain and plushie are out of stock. I expected the plushie, but the keychain has been in stock for ages after its initial release. I guess all the other Rin fans on the waiting list doubled-up like I did. But obviously as I can state, the waiting list can pay off.

All the other girls are available for order or pre-order as I’m writing this. Minus Saya and Sasami. Though Sasami has a more expensive plush available…that I don’t like.

And because I can’t figure out any other way to end this post. Rin & Rin! Ahaha~ Yes my kitty is named Rin for the reason you think she might be. I figured I had to get in one anime-named pet before I got too old. Plus Rin is just an adorable name (and spawns hundreds of nicknames like Rinnie, Rinners, and Rin-Rin) and she loves kitties! So it’s fairly reasonable! Though I would love to get a male cat and name him Lennon since that’s just an awesome name for a cat anyway. Especially for a cat in a family of Beatles fans.

…At least half of you probably don’t get why that’s relevant to Rin and anime. Wiki for you.

Anyway, I really wanted to get a picture of Rin with her naming inspiration for a while. But all I had was the figure and my cat has a certain fondness for biting things of that general size. So…plushie means picture (I still have to get a better one where she’s holding it though, d’aww so cute). If only I had plushie-Rin when kitty-Rin was still still a kitten. That would have been so cute.
