This Again: Next is Shugo Chara…Party! (wut)

scparty01If you’re half this energetic when the fangirl fallout is done, you’re stronger than the rest of us.

Seriously. Apparently we have a third season of Shugo Chara coming up with another random word tacked onto the end. This time it’s “Shugo Chara Party!” What exactly the party is…I don’t know. But there wasn’t all that much Doki this season either.

I guess it could just be “party” because that’s all the guardians really can do after the current arc is over because their enemy is supposed to be defeated. Have a big season-long party over it. Or…let’s start taking bets that they fail halfway up the tower and then in fifty episodes they’ll go to yet another tower. *only half-joking*

EDIT: Oh god. It’s worse than I thought.

-

First of all, let me say to the many Shugo Chara! fans who never got into the crazy fandom and don’t understate the hate from people who claim to be fans of the series of having a third season. Though I’m assuming there will be slightly less this time because Doki didn’t go over as well as the first season, even if it was still popular enough (many who don’t read the manga often found something off about Lulu and her ?-eggs).

Let me just tell you that the more you’re surrounded by something, the easier it is to burn out on it. Even if you are kind of happy to have new material, you may just remember that a new season means, “Oh god this many more months of those idiotic fangirls” and then want to proceed to rip your hair out.

Also, some people just aren’t fans of fillers. And those of us reading the manga know that it’s pretty much all wrapped up (though with hints of continuing which is making even the manga fans quite squirmy).

Then if you combine the frustration of fillers with the frustration with the fangirls that you might deal with in the fandom…

Also people just get protective over a series they enjoy and see the possibility of it turning into something that’s just…less than what it once was. But if people are allowed to like different series, people can also be allowed to grow to dislike the same series their friends once liked.

Not that this is what’s happening to me. I just hate the fandom and am trying to support the ones I see as the more reasonable fans. Though I do get completely exhuasted and crazy when the idea of blogging more fillers comes to mind (I won’t make any promises of weekly blogging for a new season). I might as well say that I’m just tired after over a year of blogging the series. I mean, you try being upbeat after a year of your blog being infested by cockroach fangirls.

Cockroach Fangirls = Annoying fangirls that won’t die disappear no matter what happens to a fandom. Plus some other cockroach-related ideas going into it (like the pure ick factor and the fact that they will infest and make any fandom uninhabitable).

Could also apply to boys, but it’s more fun to call a girl a cockroach. :)

So…just take it easy. Though I hope people will be more understanding now that this is the second time and will realize that the series will be going over 100 episodes and that is very long. Especially since most pretty much all series are considered to at some point become more boring when they start hitting that point of being considered long…very long.

scparty02

I know I was saying all along, “Pretty darn suspicious that we’re almost all the way through the second year and there’s still no confirmed episode count…even though they were always so quick with that information the first time…” Then how the new opening and ending came around and didn’t feel like the “concluding” sort (in fact the ending went in the total opposite direction of where the conclusion goes pairing-wise).

When rumors started going around that the October issue of  Nakayoshi was going to announce another season I even believed it. I was all ready to go, “Yeah. Told you so.” But then when time went by I started to think it seemed more likely for them to do a movie or special to wrap things up but…apparently not. -_- We get a whole party for…something.

Of course this also brings to mind the little hint that the manga maybe wasn’t ending the next month and was starting up a whole new arc (prompting even more “wut”s the world over). Not sure what to make of it, but all I can say is that I don’t feel it bodes well because it felt like the manga was wrapping up so nicely.

Then again, CardCaptor Sakura pulled off two completely separate arcs, so it could work out. Maybe. Kind of. :?: (CCS didn’t feel like it was wrapping up everything halfway through though…unlike SC!).

To negate some of my pessimism I will say that if the guardians move out of 6th grade (which due to Ikuto’s arc needing to be wrapped up, they’ve been stuck in 6 months too long :lol: ) and into the next school…that will kind of catch my interest. For a while anyway. ^_^;

I’ll also say that even if Ikuto leaves, I’ll be kind of happy to see a dere Amu missing him. *goes to a corner and giggles madly* Of course, they’d have to show me that every week (when they’re not having Kutau or Rimahiko fillers) so I’m just impossible to please.

If they learn from their mistakes from Doki it could turn out…somewhat pleasantly. It’s happened before, a good start, a crummy middle, but a very good ending. (I’m just worried about X-eggs being replaced by something else yet again) I can’t say I expect it to all be good because I don’t. If the manga continues much longer I feel like I might not be enjoying that as much either. But if the Peach-Pit duo are truly the CLAMP proteges some of us believe they so are then they can pull us back in when we think they’ve lost us.

I guess we’ll find out what’s going to happen on October 3rd when “Party!” (omgsrsly!?) starts. Also when Nakayoshi comes out and maybe some news about it comes out (at any rate, manga questions should be answered there). But since we didn’t find a single thing out about Doki before it started and whammed headfirst into two recaps…it might be safe to keep expectations low for the start.

So to be clear (only after all this writing, lawl, the rambling is back), I’ll watch it. I’ll at least blog some of it so I can be all, “YEAH! FINISHED IT!” at the end. And for the current series, I’m just planning on doing two posts to catch up when I get back from my break. One on the fillers and one on all of the manga episodes.

Oh god saying “current series” really makes me realize there’s going to be another one. How I miss the fangirling I had before Doki sucked it out of me. If only I could be giggly happy again. *si—gh*

Again, we’ll find out on October 3rd where I’ll probably just post a five paragraph post if it sucks…or to be fair, if it just isn’t fangirl-worthy (same thing). Let’s just say that until then, I’m so glad that this happened when I was on my break from blogging. Just one post where all of the readers can rage instead of flooding every single post from now until October. The rest of you girls can deal with it. Ahaha~

-

P.S. Amu’s “fifth chara” crunchyroll rumors still exist (seriously, crunchyroll specifically was mentioned). Apparently judging by at least one post in the ANN forum. Ah…really bringing back the bad memories of the last time this happened.

P.P.S. Ah~ Such a long post when the news is explained in roughly two lines…Ehe~ Come on now~ Who missed my rambling? Oh you know you all did~!

-

EDIT: So concerning the information that actually came out about the new season. The new character, the live action shorts, I believe we’re all on the same page in going blegh. Though I am mildly looking forward to the Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi! segments (I WANT AN ERU TAKEOVER!!! lulz). Otherwise, I know I’ll skip the live action stuff every week. Also…the only optimistic thing I can say about the new character Rikka is that at least her name is cuter than Lulu’s…

Meh at least the main segment (ie the story) is going to be DokiDoki which makes more sense than Party. This also means you’re going to be making Ikuto stick around for unprecedented levels of fluff. Right? Right~ (They won’t. They’ll continue the love triangle or something stupid. )

EDIT #2: Ah the nostalgia continues. Members of the fandom not quite comprehending the new batch of news.

To clarify on the whole Party thing there are three parts. The main part which is Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki (yes 3 exclamation points). There will be filler plot where a girl named Rikka shall appear (bleh, though her name alone already has me thinking moe~ against my will). This is just the anime continuing, with fillers yes, but this part is just what we expected from hearing about the new season.

Then there’s Pucchi Puchi! which are the parts with SD chara antics (how you make the charas SD when they’re already chibi as all get out is beyond me but whatever). I’m assuming it’s roughly based on the Shugo Chara-chan 4-koma. Then there is the live action portion which is not named. It’s probably not even going to be that bad, just the new batch of Shugo Chara Egg girls being all live action moe and stuff. That’s right, it’s just the girl group that will be singing the opening doing a segment. Maybe they’ll something to introduce the episode and then something when the episode is over. It’s also likely they’ll just bring up news and stuff too. But it’s not going to be more than 2-3 minutes I’m sure.

Other shows have live action segments and none of them are that insanely blindingly horrible. Most of them are in shoujo aimed at younger girls, but the currently airing Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou has their little plushie segment. So, as always, calm down guyz~ There’s not going to be a Shugo Chara! musical every episode.

Now, if anyone actually read the ANN article, they would have already known this.

  1. *sigh* And when the series was actually going in a sortnotreallyalmosttheremeh direction, they bring out Party -____- I guess I should still watch it.

The fifth egg rumor still lives? :x

This shall be interesting. As long a they handle the fillers better or to somewhat the same as they did in Doki then I guess I will be staying. ANything be better then how Naruto handle it…Still I wonder where the manga will be heading then.

Seems like I am staying for the Party.

  4. I’m pretty much watching for the same reason as you…I’ve already watched like 90-something episodes, I might as well finish the damn thing. :/ And I really hope the “new arc” in the manga was some sick joke on the part of Peach-Pit/Nakayoshi, because really the story is like almost completely wrapped up. D: I really believe that this next chapter could completely finish it all, but I’m not holding my breath. :/

God I’m so tired of this. I only read the manga now, and while I still enjoy it, I’ll probably lose interest in that after a while if it carries on long enough.

It’s a darn shame really. Shugo chara has really fun characters, a fun plot and non in-your-face messages (well, in manga that is). I absolutely adore the series.. but, what I don’t adore is when a company decides to milk a series, just because it’s popular. It happens to all the popular shows (not just anime) but it’s the ones that end when they know they should that stay superior.

Sadly, this isn’t just targeted at Satelight. Peach-pit’s whole ‘new arc’ thing has really let me down. I really hope this is just a few chapters to fill in the gaps, and not another 12 chapters of, let’s face it, unnecessary storylines. Still though, I haven’t lost faith in Peach-pit yet. They always manage to pleasantly surprise in some strange way, so I’m going to sit tight on this one.

The anime is just a joke though. Sad.. I remember being so happy when I first heard about Shugo Chara Doki. God, what a let down that was >>;. While there were still some great episodes, they completely f’ed up my favorite arc in the series. Also, the whole Lulu arc was just stupid. I can understand if they wanted the manga to get a few chapters ahead of them, but there was no need to add such a pointless character. Why not concentrate on their current characters, instead of adding all these ridiculous filler people? Ugh.

Screw it. I’ll probably watch a few episodes of it, but I’m no longer as loyal to the series as I was a year ago. If there’s any manga related episodes, or any Amuto, Rimahiko or Kutau fluff, I’ll surely check it out. But apart from that, I’m just not looking forward to it.

…Waaait, nah that’s a lie. I am definitely looking forward to the next openings and endings they’ll cough up next. With a name like Shugo Chara Party! I’m definitely bracing myself for a break dancing Ikuto and a tangoing Rima. Not to mention Amu, her charas and the guardians doing a partytrain down candylane while we hear “PARTY! DESU! YEAHYEAH!” in the most adorable (^__^) engrish we’ve ever heard!

Performed by new Hello! Project! band “Shugo Chara Wish!”

Bring it on. Just remember, I totally called it.

And while I am a HUGE Sailor Moon fan…those fillers made sense to me. Sometimes it’s like they aren’t even trying in Shugo Chara.

Perhaps I will watch…once i get caught up on everything else in my life. XD

Ugh…I really don’t know what to make of this. Well, actually, that’s a lie. I do know what to make of this, but I don’t feel like thinking about it…since it’s so..I don’t know. Party is a horrible word to tack on to the end of a Shugo Chara season, especially since the anime (should) be coming up to a very serious part (if it goes in accordance with the manga.) At least Doki, when the only thing we knew about it was that it was named Shugo Chara Doki had an appropriate word tacked on, which actually had promise and made me excited. This…

Well, this and the fact that the manga could be going into another arc is a big let down for me. I’ll continue reading and watching (I usually do, even if it takes me years to do it due to breaks (or getting interested in other series)) I usually always finish what I start (exception being Naruto, I started and stopped that one fairly early on.) Anyway, like you (and some other people in the comments) have mentioned, Shugo Chara had that really nice getting ready to wrap up feel. We were getting our answers to long asked questions, the love triangle (basically) came to an end, and everything was just set to finish nicely. Now there is an announcement about a new development. Hopefully they mean a new development and not a new arc, since a new development can easily be referring to something like a time-skip (which I’m expecting there will be.) Basically, I feel the same way you do.

Ah, I also agree with you on the fandom. After having to read post after post of rabid fangirls worrying over Ikuto leaving and never coming back (or about Shugo Chara going on and one, so there could be more Amuto moments, or about one of Amu’s “childhood” friends coming into the picture and starting up another love triangle between this new person, Amu, and Ikuto…) I’ve about nearly given up on it. Though, there are a few fans out there that keep my love for this series alive (you, of course, being among them.)

Oh, and just to let you know, if you’re still reading my “Unexpected” series, I’m going to be posting a one-shot dealing with a girls only sleepover and an Alice and Wonderland meets Shugo Chara one-shot (for you and Xiao Jie personally, since I remember how you two desperately wanted these fillers, but, alas, never got them.) Watch, we’ll get them in this series…I’m hoping that it’ll be a decent season at least, not great (or even good) just decent. That’s all I want.

Anyway, I agree with your P.S (like, really? People still think Amu has a fifth egg, isn’t four overkill already (well, it would be if it didn’t fit with the theme of a card deck and all, but still…?)

Anyway, good luck and take care! (^^)o

Wut?” That’s exactly what I thought. And then I nearly thought it was funny. I mean, “Party!”? I don’t believe there is anything to party about.
Actually, I thought the remaining bits of the Shugo Chara! manga would be wrapped up in a bonus story. Maybe. The part where Amu finds out Nadeshiko and Nagihiko are the same person. Something like that maybe. The new anime series made me wonder if the manga will be continuing as well, so I really hope that if there’s going to be more Shugo Chara! manga, Peach-Pit will do it nicely.

Finally commenting your blog again! D: I’m so sorry I haven’t in the last month or so. Hope to keep up now. ^^

Ugh, I know exactly how you feel. Admittedly, though, I’m somewhat excited still about this new season. Mainly, because, well, maybe they’ll put off Ikuto leaving for a few eps and we can get some major fluff? but I don’t know. I’m kind of “ugh” about it because knowing how stupid Satelight can be makes me suspicious on what they’re going to do with this season. And LMFAO @ the name. Doki? Fine. Party? WTF. Unless there’s a REAL party going on, I can’t see it being anything like a party, though after this arc is wrapped up, I think the characters really need a party, ha ha ha ha. But yeah, seriously though. What the hell.

Agreed about the manga as well. I’m enjoying it still, and hoping it’s just a time skip with Ikuto returning moreso than another arc, as you and others have said. Another arc would be.. somewhat pointless. Or rather, the majority would be pointless. I think one or two or even three more chapters, to have Amu figure out her true self are definitely needed. She needs to full out accept and admit her love for Ikuto, and just.. Aruto needs to come back, too. Everything else has been dealt with. So I can’t see how it can’t end soon at this point.

    Though, it’s nothing like VK, which is good; I want VK to just up and die already, but SC is one that I can bear for a bit longer without wringing my hair out and going “END, END END ALREADY!” xD;;

Now the anime… I’m hoping it’ll be 13-26 eps, not another 51. That’s much too long. Though if it is, it should be the last season. No more, please. Having Doki to do the Ikuto arc was essential, doing another anime arc is milking a series for all its worth, and that really lowers my respect for Satelight. :/

Party? xD I don’t get that, but anyway. I’m more anxious than excited for this season. Who knows, it may be the best season out of the three (impossible). This came as such a suprise to me though because I was sure that the manga was ending soon. I really don’t want the series to drag on and become boring or anything. I think that I would be happy with a time skip in chapter 44 and then it ending. I hope they learned their mistakes from last season too. I hate to break it to you, but there is going to be a new character. Her name is Mumu LeSmacelnorf. She makes these rings that create a new egg called a ! egg because . egg sounded weird . Holy crap. I would have to kill somebody if that happened. Actually I would be a little creeped out if she actually apppeared since I made her up. On the bright side, we would get to see the Guardians in middle school. I’m also looking forward to new Ops and EDs that I could put on my mp3 player. And I would like seeing dere Amu missing Ikuto too. I would really like that. This might be pretty good as long as they don’t screw it up.

    August 26th, 2009

  11. It’s like Ice Age. I haven’t seen the new film, but apparently it was crappy. Why do they have to spoil our love so they can get more money?! SO ANNOYING!!!

If Peach Pit go and make a second series though, it might come out half decent at least, so if “Party!” (W.T.H?!) goes by that, then it might not suck so much. I think the main problem with Doki was that they had an infinite amount of fillers. And when they felt it safe to send Lulu home, what happened to her? She was NEVER mentioned again (except for that one time one or two episodes after). Seriously. SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!! :x

But oh well. I guess we shall have to wait and see…

  12. OK. this is getting REALLY ridiculous ! i understand what u mean ! DOKI was a fine name but .. PARTY ?!! are they out of ideas ? although one of my friends showed me the Third season trailer from her cam and the animation looked awesome even better than season one … its really weird to pic a sucky name like that. and having 100+ eps for a series like SC is just too much , its starting to feel like bleach or naruto with all these long episodes and fillers. besides , in the anime , they are spoiling WAY too much , in the latest episode the director mentioned Hikaru’s name and they showed that he knows him which hints that he is gozen directly even to people who dont read the manga.

“Cockroach Fangirls = Annoying fangirls that won’t die disappear no matter what happens to a fandom. Plus some other cockroach-related ideas going into it (like the pure ick factor and the fact that they will infest and make any fandom uninhabitable).

Could also apply to boys, but it’s more fun to call a girl a cockroach. :)

SO TRUE. u should see the immature fangirls going all KYAAAAAAAAA over the third season just because they want “HOT” ikuto scenes and some “KYAAA” amuto scenes. their stupid minds cant even get how deep the story is. its just frustrating to see them go KAWAII on every damn SAD amv. even on the AMV’s that makes u want to cry they go all :”ikuto is so hot-nya~” … yeah they add nya and chii and whatever the hell u can add to a sentence.

Enough is enough Satelight. Animate properly for gods sake x_x SC is getting really stupid. thats all i can say, its sad to see my favorite anime getting into this. sorry for the long comment i just HAD to agree with everything u said x__x

The mangs is Really entertaining compared to the anime , i hope they make a time skip or atleast show how much amu misses ikuto cause it would make me really Happy x3

*Groans* Surely this series should be over by now. I mean, I loved Shugo Chara! and Shugo Chara! Doki! is good, but a third season? I can’t take any more. Even the manga looks like it’s continuing and I really just wanted the Ikuto arc to end, with perhaps a fast forward to the future chapter or something. There can be too much of a good thing, and I think with 100+ episodes, thats too much.
Saying this, I will probably watch it, but unless I see an interesting arc or cute couple fillers I won’t be happy about it :P

    August 26th, 2009

  14. :x
    PARTY?! Wtf?!

This is really getting ridiculous. The only way I’ll be able to accept this ‘new development’ of theirs is if Peach-Pit becomes more and more like CLAMP.
Assuming that if Peach-Pit doesn’t continue the manga, the small little so-called ‘plot’ in Party would probably just be the scene where Amu finds out Ikuto’s leaving and on wards.
If it’s fillers without those stupid Lulu-like fillers where all the filler characters end up acting like they have the lowest self-esteem in the world and for some reason, have to transform into a costume with ?s on them, then forget it – I’m not watching the season unless the little bit of plot-related stuff is there.
However, if Satelight decides to do something with the character pairings other than Amu/Ikuto/Tadase or with their songs, (like sticking Rima in a Ferris Wheel with Nagi like she described in her song, then hell yes!), I’ll go ahead and attempt to watch it. But if it’s something that is just made up of cheesy hell, well let’s just say that I’m going to smash Satelight with boulders.
If Peach-Pit decides to continue the manga, hopefully Satelight will give it a rest with the fillers and actually try to stay more on course with the story. Of course, I can’t be too hopeful about being positive about Satelight – when has that ever helped? When they ‘developed’ Lulu?
Hey, is it just me, or is Satelight incapable of creating any other characters by themselves besides Goody-Two-Shoes or Shy Kids (almost all the filler characters) or Tsunderes/Tsundererekkos? (Lulu) They seriously need to read TVTropes.org if they ever plan on making a character other than a tsundere or a boring, ‘innocent’ character. We have enough tsunderes in SC! Well, tsundere? Let’s variate to try stuff like dandere, kuudere, and yandere (well, actually no… I have enough yandere bitches in my anime life to do without).

  15. It got worse. Apprantly it’s actually going to be called Shugo Chara Doki Dokki now. (Are they trying to be Sailor Moon Super Super now?). We’re also getting cute shorts with the charas apperantly, though so that’s okay.

The thing that pissed my off the most about Doki wasn’t the fillers so much as it was the way they messed with the characters especially Amu, around the time they adapted chapter 31.

Middle School would be cool. I wonder what they would do about Yaya for those episodes though….

Sigh. At least I probably enjoy reading other people’s SC posts more now, since I’m not blogging the anime anymore

This whole third season just confuses me. If it’s not going to be all fillers, they’re going to stick to manga plot, but as far as I can see, they’ll have to stick in tons of fillers so the manga can get ahead a little. Which, you know, as long as maybe the fillers are okay, I won’t mind.
    Then again, we’re not even sure if the manga is ending or not. o.o;

    But… I guess I was just kind of waiting for Shugo Chara to end. I guess since I’m a fan of SC, that’s kind of a bad thing to say but… still… ^^;

I’m ok with a new series as long as they don’t mess up to badly. Or keep them in grade 6. There is 5 weeks until Oct.3rd so they have time to save Ikuto(THEY BETTER SAVE HIM OR I WON’T WATCH ANYMORE!!)

Seeing the characters in middle school would be cool…though I’d feel bad for Yaya because she’d be all alone. Unless they skip a couple years and they are all older. The new season starts after the manga’s possible time skip that would be cool.

and this Rikka girl shows promisse, if shes a easter villian(if easter is still around at that time) or some other type of villan. Or if she’s a new friend which would be cool because they can have more close friends because they wouldn’t be guardians anymore, Kukai could be around and maybe even Utau. Though Utau doesn’t seem like a character to appear every single episode.

    Wut?! Oh, hell no.

Live action segments? MOAR fillers? Jeez. I already play catch-up enough as it is.

It’s a bummer, because I really wanted to see those last 2 chapters animated. At this rate, it either won’t happen until the end of “Party” or not at all, giving us an open ending. I refuse to even consider there being more than 3 seasons. I will not watch, I can’t do it. I already rely on your blog too much, and your not having blogged SC for a while is killing me. I actually have to check to see if the weekly episode is filler or not.

And the live action segments probably won’t be too terrible…ok, so they could be, but I’m going to keep my hopes up since they will hopefully limit the time for the actual episode, aka less screen time for fillers.

Actually, “Party” is the live-action one. “Puuchi Puchi” is the one with the guardians characters and “Dokki Doki” is season 3.
Just had 2 point that out…..

Fuyu-nee ;-; PLEASE save Shugo Chara. I am crying because I read the article on it. Then I started to read the forums, this is dispapointing as a fan. I just cant see how people can be happy about something that may be completely pointless and LIVE-ACTION SEGMENTS in a ANIME. Maybe I just dont want to understand it all because how much Doki disappointed me and, what I thought, ruined Shugo Chara. =[

 Do not want. Satelight is still trying to cash in on our monies. In fact the one of the only good things that may come out of the third season is more Buono! or even a new Mizuki Nana song. Meanwhile, everyone else will be dropping the anime and sticking to the epic manga.

  25. Mmmm I have to say I completely agree with all of what you’re saying. Which is rather rare for me.

Satellite are almost at the point of taking the mick here.
I just want SC to end, part of fangirlism is knowing when a series should end, indeed.

I’m giving the first few episodes a try, if I don’t like, I don’t watch.

And I’m not that bothered about Pucchi Pucchi or the musical.

This doesn’t actually sound all that bad to me. Yeah, it always has the potential to be really cheesy and childish, but I like watching mindless stuff every now and then. SC! has become my bowl of chocolate ice cream after a day of stressful life.

I’m glad Satelight added fillers only because if they started the Ikuto arc back in March like you wanted, what would they have done about the most recent plot developments?

Anyways, I love reading your thoughts and I hope Satelight doesn’t let you down anymore :P

  29. Not replying to everyone because it’s too much trouble. Sorry. ^_^;

Mikey Friday: I don’t think it’s really that possible for them to do better though. It’s going to be the same director and as DOki has continued, it’s fillers have only gotten worse. But I guess we can still hope.

kelakagandy: We’ll be finding out soon. The preview for the next chapter didn’t feel too promising as a conclusion. Maybe as a second to last chapter instead? I hope…

Abstractsoul: It would be an incredible shame if it stopped being good because it carried on too long. Though I admit…I’m at least happy that a series that’s currently good is appreciated enough to be milked at all. Though I’d be pissed if they carried it too far. Which is what they’re doing.

Yeah, since the big enemy for the entire manga has been defeated…they can’t do much more. I guess I can just remind myself that CCS manga had quite a few wrap-up chapters, but SC! is already eating into that number. :/

God, if they had to have Lulu, they should have just kept her arc separate from Ikuto’s. I said that from the beginning and it pissed me off everytime things didn’t develop like they were supposed to just because they stuffed fillers in between every development.

Oh god. I can totally imagine all of that happening. It makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. Ah…satelight.

Christina: Really? It’s the opposite for me. The Sailor Moon fillers bugged me, but SC! I got…sometimes. I guess because (unil Doki) the enemies weren’t all super corny and ugly. Bleh. Sailor Moon monsters.

LilyGinnyBlack: At least news that came after made it slightly better…DokiDoki beats…Party. Because honestly…

God I think I read like three volumes of Naruto before I was like, “WTF? How are there so many volumes of this?” and tossed it.

God I wish the new development was a time skip. I really don’t want Shugo Chara! to do one of those second story arcs…like every magical girl series does. Mermaid Melody, Sailor Moon, Kamichama Karin…and the next arc always feels so unnecessary or just crappy.

God the freakout about Ikuto leaving pissed me off. I wanted to shout, “READ MORE SHOUJO MANGA!” because Ikuto leaving totally confirmed OTP-ness to me. And then we got a kiss in the next chapter. *swish*

Ew. A childhood friend. I admit to hearing that a new character would be showing up in the anime this time (around the time when Amuto should be becoming official) made me hope for some jealousy on Amu’s side…but I hate it when they add another guy after stuff has already been made official. It just messes with stuff.

Oh of course I’m still reading~ (I just suck at remembering to review *lazy*) and…ohmygodawesome!!! Responding to comments late I already read them and I loved them both. Especially the sleepover one. Just dialogue worked so well. Amu’s house was my favorite of course. Girl talk~ (And so embarrassing~ I bet Amu would get picked on a lot at her sleepovers since she’s so easy to embarrass) Of course I loved Wonderland too, instead of being all corny it felt…a lot like Wonderland should! (Also the omake was exactly what I thought when I read the chapter. Otherwise there’s no reason for so much metal! XD)

Misha: Amu finding out about Nadeshiko is about the only useful thing I can think of that could happen in the future. Otherwise everything is wrapped up (except some pairing being made official, which I expected to happen in a time skip instead… )

MyVampireEyes: If you’re still making wonderful videos, you never have to apologize for not commenting on my blog!

Yesh. That is my reason for any excitement. Full out Amuto fluff because they have so much OTP-ness. No more attempting to keep anything even. Hahaha. I’d love it~

Well, that is true. Amu still has a long journey to discover her true self, but I wonder how they can cover that in a magical girl manga. She made a lot of progress at the end of each arc, but without an enemy to fight, how would they frame it? Without it being boring. But I don’t want a new enemy either because that would be…redundant.

Amutofan123: Right? Because you don’t know how it’s going to turn out. I’m just expecting it to be all meh so I don’t get disappointed.

God, how close you were to being right. We actually to have a new character (except named Rikka…who I imagine to be adorable with curly twintails and since she won’t I am guaranteed to be disappointed in her). I’ll forgive Satelight for a lot though if they make Rikka voiced by Yui Makino…(a lot of SC! fans may not be familiar with my Makino-worship, but seriously…I’d love that! I’d die. It’s close to Nana-sama worship for me)

mit-chan007: Aww, I haven’t seen Ice Age 3 yet so that’s disappointing. I liked the 1st one so much (and the 2nd was okay anyway)

Well, I was right about Lulu. Had no effect on anything and was quickly forgotten. She was so lame. -_-

mo0on12: More like Sailor Moon, which is kind of just as bleh (or even more so) for fillers. Because…freakin’ enemy of the week crap sucks.

God freakin’ weeaboo preteen fangirls that don’t get anything. This is why fangirl has a negative conotation on ANN! (But since they’re the people that got moe wrong, that’s not surprising…) Fangirls are just overexcited! They don’t have to be idiots too. Too bad so many are.

animehalf: Well, that’s why we’re all hoping Ikuto sticks around, which makes sense. The anime is produced on a 3 month delay. So the last chapter they could make would have been released 3 months ago. Unless they were let in on future developments (still quite likely), we may get that development later…but what happens until then…who knows.

Well, that’s just impossible. They can’t not have fillers even if Peach-Pit is continuing. There is one manga chapter per month and four episodes of the anime. Unless you want to stretch out one chapter across four episodes (which would be insanely boring) it’s just not possible.’

Well, I thought Yua was a pretty good character. She developed quite nicely in her two episode run. I hope whoever made her is working on the new filler character.

warriorhope: Oh god I know. But the chara shorts…I do want. Totally.

Yes. That’s what was the final straw I think. But my constant annoyance was always them trying to make Lulu have an impact instead of just letting her take up time and disappear (especially when at the end she just disappeared anyway  )

Yaya would be the new Kukai I guess, since Kukai would be in the same school as them. It would also be nice development in a filler to see Yaya leading the Guardians as the oldest (then again this means three new characters…so I feel conflicted again).

Lea: Indeed they will. I hope that with Easter gone, we’ll get some of the fillers like we did after the Dia arc, except…with better writing. We have two pairings that need plenty of development too.

It’s not a bad thing at all! The end of a series is one of the most enjoyable parts of it after all.

7: Wait for my filler skipping guide for season 2!

Kelly: Ah…Rikka is a problem. The more I think about her, the more she turns into this adorable moe-moe girl with twintails and an adorable voice. It’s almost guaranteed I won’t get her the way I want her to be so I’m totally set up for disappointment.

thebutterflygirl: Ouran is such a better fandom. Why did I have to get trapped in SC! because of my blogging?

It’s just a rumor based off of merchandising too. So stupid…

Samy: The last few chapters you mean judging by the way the manga is supposed to go. Ah I want Nakayoshi to come out already so I can know for sure.’

I’ve already decided to blog any fillers (even if it’s just a short blurb) that are worth watching in the upcoming season to help people who just don’t want to pay attention. It is my public service!!

kelakagandy: Yes I am too. Especially if it’s based off of the 4-koma. *loves 4-koma jokes*

Didn’t they have some live action segment for Kirarin Revolution at some point? Either way, it’s probably just going to turn out like any of the cut girl groups that get a show do. All cutesy moe-ness.

Mikan: I already explained the live action segments. It’s actually pretty common. EVen in un-kiddish anime. And you don’t have to watch them either. I’d just worry about what the heck they’re going to be able to do with a story though.

StarlightHorizon: And I have to agree with everything you’re saying as well. There’s a limit to fangirling and that limit is when something continues to long and…well, quite simply doesn’t prompt fangirling anymore.

Beatrice: I don’t know where you got the idea that I wanted them to start Ikuto’s arc back in March. What I wanted was for them to do Lulu’s arc completely and then move onto Ikuto’s arc. Any episode that prolonged Lulu’s arc was another one I wanted it to be postponed. I said it right from the beginning.

Really making the next 20 or so episodes even more useless than the fillers of the past.

…I do. And I actually hope I’m right because I don’t want any interference in Ikuto’s arc, thank you very much.

And then continued everytime that they furthered Ikuto’s arc that I didn’t like it while Lulu was still there. I even said in comments a few times that I wanted proper fillers so they could do the proper ending.

Sorry that I had to correct you, but it peeves me a bit that after a whole year of saying “I want the true ending for the anime” (and being so excited about that when Doki was announced) that you thought I wanted it to start in March.

    Kiseki: Oh noes~ That’s too many Doki’s!

Then again “Doki” didn’t feel like enough…Aha! Suspicious! They planned this all along! (I now fully believe this)

  30. Luna-chan

hisashiburi, Fuyu-san! I don’t know if you remember me (i wouldn’t remember me lol). I miss your Shugo chara posts but I know you’ve got a life too.

I hadn’t been watching the anime lately. But I went back to see Yua and a couple of things and noticed that the anime now had this cutesy slice-of-life feel. It’s cute it’s fun it’s kiddy. It’s really developed into a kids anime. The manga and anime aren’t that in touch. And I’m actually okay with that because kids all over Japan really like it (or so I assume-otherwise it wouldn’t continue, right?)

So I’m all for Party or dokidoki or whatever (though that’s a lot of !!!). I’m a little excited that it’s not ending at least. I might tune in every now and then. But I have this attitude where if the target audience (ie adorable kids??) is happy with it then that’s cool. I’m curious to see what they’ve got. And you’re right Rikka does sound like a cute character. I’m imagining some cute curly-haired moe meganeko or something haha

Just stay away from the fandom. That’s what I do….they ruin everything lol. Let them kyaaaa as they wish, as far away from the mature fans as possible xD

Hi, Fuyu-chan, what’s up? Just got back home from my hellish holidays and thought about checking blogs. Oh, and I’ve fallen 2 weeks back, so please be patient if I say stupid things!

What’s that “Party” thingy, guys? Geez, I thing we’ll have some serious trouble with the plot flow (again)… And about the new character I heard about here and there, hope it’s not some other Lulu or I’ll freak out! God, it seems to get so messed up…

About the manga now… I thought it was going to end around here, too, but according to the last issue, it doesn’t seem to be that way yet. Well, I have no problem with that, but I really hope Peach-Pit won’t ruin it now they decided to continue with it, or they’d better take up Rozen Maiden again.

Okay, I’m pretty tired and I wanna explore the rest of the blogs, so see ya untill then!

  32. If it is a second to last chapter it’s going to be a super long volume 10. Which I wouldn’t really mind… :3

I would love if they were based off the cute 4koma. And really 4koma jokes are just great! xD

And I actually have no idea, lol. I never watched Kirarin Revolution. But yeah, it probably is just going to be some cutesy moe thing…I wish it would be more like the puppet thing at the end of Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou, because it just makes me giggle every time. xD

  33. Shugo Chara Party?! WTF?! Okay the first season was pretty good and Doki was a okay name but Party?! They have officially ran out of names…It Totally ruins the anime besides the filler episodes. This is why I stick to the manga for the most part of it. All I see in season three is Fillers, Fillers, and more FILLER EPISODES!!!! In the manga it shows more progress because there is almost no fillers at all and they are finally getting to the part where Amu Decides If she loves Ikuto more then Tadase and she may go after Ikuto to tell him that. I hope she chooses Ikuto though :o :XO: *sigh* Any ways…Go Amuto Go RimaHiko Good day everybody!

  35. Amulet_Heart

Well…I’ve been following Shugo Chara since season one, and I have to agree that plot wise, the first season was the best. (and most powerful, heart touching…ect).

Doki! is good too in it’s own ways. Don’t get me wrong, I’m just as annoyed with the way they handled all the filler order and such too, but they could have done a lot worse, like Naruto or something like that.

The whole Lulu arc was cute in it’s own way. She may be filler and whatnot, but fairly decent as far as fillers go. I just wished that there was something more to the whole ? egg thing than a confused filler character with the ability to create ? eggs. I’d have liked to see more Easter involvement with the whole ? egg thing, a potential sort of ‘deadly sideplot’ to sidetrack Amu and the rest of the guardians distracted by all the ? eggs during the development of the Ikuto arc. The entire Lulu arc felt so out of place as a side story really. It would have enhanced the anime if they’d injected her into the main storyline and made something worthwhile out of it.

That being said, I hope that Party! does improve on the shortcomings found in Doki! I really haven’t had a good fanboy cry over how profound the episode is since season one, and I really miss that.

  36. Miri

I actually like the manga. It’s faced paced and stuff. In the anime, I feel like everything is DDDDDRRRRRAAAAGGGGIIIINNNNGGGGGG. Amu bores me a lot in the anime. She’s so stereotype main character in the fillers and then in the non fillers she’s like, that’s not my character. WEIRD!!! If you want something better, read Gakuen Alice. Fast, funny, cute, mysterious. :XO: Read it, laugh, enjoy, and wait for Shugo Chara Doki to get somewhere or “Shugo Chara Party” ugh. I feel sick. Tokyo TV! YOU CAN DO BETTER!!! :vangry: Why couldn’t they have settled for 26 episodes like every other great Shoujo anime?! Whatever!

it ISN’T called Shugo chara party…the name is: shugo chara dokki doki^^

    September 7th, 2009

  38. Miyuki: If you actually read it you’ll see that I called it that as well. Dokki Doki is the main story. Pucchi Puchi is the SD chara stuff. Party is apparently the collective between the two and the live action segment.

Also the date would tell you I posted this before the “Dokki Doki” title came out.

    September 28th, 2009

  47. Dorayaki

I have no idea since no windowtime of broadcast and the noun of season is just a SIGNBOARD.
in the anime history of Nakayosi, SC is truly a money spinner(?), long anime even for girls manga category, though the legend is still the Sailor moon five seasons in Toei. Others are CLAMP’s MN and CCS.
(for CCS, the fixed quantity of cards also fix the length. it is nice that cards are more in anime but ruined in season 3 of Sakura’s card when she has no chance to use all of her card. I still have to say a certain sequal to this by CLAMP in another magazine is to bloody = =)
But in a true meaning, SC is a nice anime which can make educational effects in those original TV episodes when guardians runs into different people worrying their futures and reform them. In fact there are actually only three people reformed (Himekawa, Hatoba and the girl fainted on the tower). Despite the lofty point, these episodes are sitll not good enough and too formulary. I’m glad SC can still continue despite the other three anime from manga of PP = =, but the plot of the next new anime chapter needs well plans even better than the original manga, not to offer something bogus.

    Gosh, a third season!
Seriously dont like that idea. I was really hoping they would end on ep 100, for some kind of dramatic effect, and litrally threw a fit when i say ep No. 101 :x
Shugo chara doki is a good name, Shugo chara party sounds like a weird kind of clothing range, to me anyway
The idea of havign pucchi puuchi (is it?) as a little thing just for the charas is good, I always wanted to see some chara romance, Like Mikki and Yoru/Kiseki. Is that weird?
And OMFG! Cartoon network is going to dub it! I actually want to hurl
I’ve seen what kids TV or whatever its called did to tokyo mew mew, and that was dreadful. But dont get me started on mew mew powerr.
