Picture completely unrelated! (ShinKuro isn’t discussed at all!) But come one, what else is really new? I figure I could just go for it and be completely random this week, because nothing is connected this week. Not even much of it is on-topic with the entire rest of the blog.
The biggest section doesn’t touch on anime at all after all! Harry Potter releases always means I have to do a fandom switch. The one series has affected my childhood into my teenage years far more than anime could. I have no specific fond memories of running around Main Street at 10 PM one night and seeing kids and adults in anime cosplay. No, they were all wearing witch hats and cloaks.
Much cooler. (<- Lie. Even I wasn’t that dorky, though it would have been fun to be~)
So yeah, another week without much to talk about. Oh well. Next week will be the same. All fandoms abandoned to act like a normal 18-year-old. Going to a concert~
Also…more lack of pictures makes Fuyu a sad girl. Where’s my Sora no Manimani images, guys? I could spam them 24/7!
Another thing…just in general, if the WE posts keep end up being late, I may just decide to have them post on Saturdays. That way I can even decide ahead of time often enough if I will blog the latest SC! episode and head off the fangirls. Hm…something to think about. I’ll decide by next week.

Anime
It looks like more First Impressions are impossible after all. I dropped most of my summer watchlist so I could take it easy. Even things that I might enjoy would just be troublesome right now. So I’ve kept it restricted to Sora no Manimani and anything streaming online for the season. Because I don’t want to have to worry about downloading anything. For some reason when I download stuff, it bugs me when it just sits there and because of that I’ll usually end up letting it pile up until I either delete it or move it to my “To Watch” folder.

Looking Ahead
Yay for something new, if only to get scans that aren’t incredibly old!
Wow. One thing I never would have seen coming…for some reason. A new InuYasha series to finish it all off. I suppose not incredibly surprising considering how popular it was. The usual super long shounen appeal. But I figured maybe on some OVAs…this was surprising. I should have seen it coming, but I’m not used to shounen series being handled…responsibly. Compared to other series, I realize how tame the filler amount for InuYasha was (and it took more than 50 episodes into it before fillers even started I believe). Now the new season will just be manga material…it’s a shounen miracle.
Well, I’m watching it. Been too long since I’ve heard the cast. Ah…I want some angry Satsuki Yukino~ Too bad Kagome didn’t get as angry as often in the parts they’ll be animating though. I’m really not that into InuYasha anymore, it was too long to keep the fangirling at the mazimum and I started when I was 12, now I’m 18. Lots of changes during that time. But of course, I still like it. It has a special place in my heart. It was definitely a gateway series for me. The one that brought me on the internet and watching fansubs I’d say. So despite any of its flaws, it would always be a favorite.
Plus, it’s got that usual “shounen written by a female manga-ka” benefit. Romance that’s more of the real “aww~” variety. Ah…light romance in shounen is really what I started on for shipping (well, obviously if it was InuYasha specifically).
Anyway, I’m not a fangirl anymore so I’m not excited, but I’ll be watching. Maybe skip a few fighting episode when I’m bored. But the last episode I’m totally watching for the ultimate in aww-ness. (Hint: The scene that they’re using for a promo image~
)
It should also be noted that this is airing in Fall. If a Key series really does come out in Fall, it’s going to be the best season ever for me. Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke, Nogizaka Haruka, and now InuYasha are all already guaranteed watches. Most I’ve ever had in one season.
Also…creepy that a rumor from a year ago that probably got started by some 15-year-old fangirl turned out to be right. September 2009…Fall 2009…eerie, isn’t it?

AMV of the Week
After a fairly long absence it’s back. The sudden merging of two of my favorite things shocked me out of my AMV-coma.
SC M@D by xCrystalSagax
(Little Busters! Theme~)
HELL YEAH! Shugo Chara! video to the Little Busters! theme. Lots of win on top of more win.
It got me thinking…that it’s quite fitting. Amu would so be Rin in a full parody. Not just because she’s the lead, but they both have that same shy thing going. Just Rin acts like a shy kitty (aww) and Amu’s Cool & Spicy, but the result is pretty much the same. Both wonderful girls that can stand up for themselves but can’t make friends on their own. D’aww.
…I want an Amu and Rin crossover cosplay picture IMMEDIATELY! (psh, but even if I say that I can’t think that either one would look too great as the other…though I won’t know until I see~)
As for any other characters…I don’t know. Rin’s the only one you ever get to know that much about without playing the VN.
But Yaya would probably be Komari…yeah~
But anyway, the video is really great. Fully deserving of the “MAD” title which should simply be the equivelant to Japanese AMVs, but seems to have become more synonymous with, “crazy awesome parody editing” and stuff.
It’s not an exact copy, but I kind of like it better for that. Little Busters! has too many parodies already. It’s catching up to Nursery Rhyme for the most parodied game opening I’m sure.

Not Anime
A new section for when I just need to discuss something that’s not anime. Plenty of other bloggers do it in full posts. I’m just making it one section in my Weekly Extra.

Of course, this week it would be the theater release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The first movie since Chamber of Secrets that hasn’t made me feel like they director is just doing as he likes rather than doing what the story requires. There were still a lot of changes, omissions, and additions (even a whole scene that, while I liked, seemed completely pointless), but this time it didn’t ruin the whole tone of the movie.
Best of all, Dumbledore acted like Dumbledore. People have been raging at Michael Gambon since he took the role, but it’s quite obvious to anyone watching the movie who has a clear head that all of the screw-ups are in the script. He didn’t come up with the idea to go running after Harry in Goblet of Fire (seriously, that was messed up). And when you ignore all of the other screw-ups in Prizoner of Azkaban, he did well with any of the lines that seemed to suit Dumbledore. But when he was finally given Dumbledore-like lines “I do love knitting patterns” I say he did them as properly as any mortal is capable. So I was happy for that because most of us should know what happens in the end. I didn’t want to be disappointed by not feeling the way I should because it’s not Dumbledore to me.
Then the movie also had all sorts of humor around the romance. Lots of little changes around there, but the romance isn’t the main plot. I was glad for the changes to make it new and make it fit in the 2.5 hours they had (or so my mom told me that was how long the movie was). Plus, things can’t be exactly the same. Things need to be stated straight out since we’re not in Harry’s head where we can know his thoughts or speculations.
All in all, as a Ginny fan I was relatively satisfied. *sigh~* Though I do admit to wishing that they’d kept more of her um…”spunkiness” in, but it can’t be helped. Unnecessary parts need to get pushed aside a little.
Now then! Let’s move onto the things most likely to make people rage so there’s some spoilers here. First there was the scene added in. Entirely unnecessary, but in the movies I do enjoy watching Bellatrix be a crazy bitch. Plus there wasn’t enough anger from Harry at the end of Order of the Pheonix so seeing him recklessly run after Bellatrix again was good. The scene was entertaining as I watched it, but once it was over, I confess to wondering what the point of it all was. Though I guess having Ginny run after Harry and the two of them fighting on their own a bit is obvious…but otherwise?
Then there’s also no mention of what the horcruxes are. Made me feel a bit odd at first, but then I figured it could work out easily in Deathly Hallows. Harry already knows he needs a locket, when he gets it, it’s Slytherin’s locket. Then when he goes to the vault, he’ll find out that it’s Hufflepuff’s cup and so he’ll catch onto the thing with founders, so when he gets to Hogwarts, he’ll look for something of Ravenclaws! Harry and Hermione should figure it out. The only problem is the snake…and also the fact that by not telling Harry this it seems like Dumbledore didn’t know (or guess~), and that’s just not right! Dumbledore knows (guesses) everything.
Then the fact that Harry didn’t find out about Snape being the one to hear the prophecy. I admit to being disappointed on that as well, but I accept it as necessary for a shorter time frame. Harry getting angry at Dumbledore wouldn’t be good when they don’t have time to fix that, it would come out awkward. Then they also wouldn’t have been able to do things the way they did on the tower. Which I thought was a very good change for a movie.
The book did it the best way, but in a movie it would have been so boring to see Harry just invisible underneath a cloak. But of course they knew Harry wouldn’t be able to not do anything, eventually it would get to him. So they had Snape come around, so Harry would think he could take care of things and then…well you know. It made it even more tragic and horrible and I couldn’t help but smile back in my writer’s mind. Though the movie actually had me crying. Something they’ve failed at with every character death so far.
Oh and then there’s how there was no battle, but I’d already found out about that before the movie and the reasons explained for it makes sense. There’s a battle (a better one) in Deathly Hallows. Plus the battle now would take away from the tragedy and ruin the mood a bit. Then the last complaint would probably be the lack of a funeral (which I also knew about ahead of time), which we can all miss, but it’s omission didn’t ruin the movie. Oh and I guess shippers could complain about how Harry and Ginny never really started dating so they couldn’t break up, but with the romance stuff, I always say, better that stuff out than the important scenes. (Oh and maybe the scene at the beginning, but all I can say is that I don’t see the harm in the train station scene and I even thought it was fun.)
Let’s see…what else? Oh I know what I was most disappointed at. No U-No-Poo.
It would have just taken five seconds to flash the poster!!! But what can you do? I should be glad the joke shop was in at all.
That’s about it I guess. I enjoyed the movie. I suppose it would be my new favorite. Everything doesn’t come out exactly the way you imagine, but that’s just not possible. As an anime fans especially, we should be aware of the changes that are necessary in an adaptation. Now with a book (which has only words to describe and explain things) and adapting into only 2.5 hours (unlike an anime which is rarely shorter than 12 episodes at 20 minutes so at least 4 hours there) we should realize how much harder that is. I do, and so I am very satisfied with Half-Blood Prince. The first two were good if only because their light-hearted changes were fine considering the age group. The third one was way out there and just…was awful I have to say. The fourth one dragged in all the wrong place and rushed in all the wrong places, I found myself bored way too often. The fifth one was just rushed, longest book = shortest movie…seriously. This one did well. I may find things to poke at after I watch it again, but it was the first time since I started watching the movies in theaters (with 3) that I haven’t felt disappointed when I left.

Blog-Related
I already mentioned that there won’t be anymore First Impressions…so there’s that. Sora no Manimani’s second episode will also be skipped. It’s getting doubled up with the third episode.
Now on Shugo Chara!, if the post isn’t up sometime on Sunday, it won’t appear until Tuesday. Concert on Monday~ But I will still be trying to get to the post. If it’s even just a short one.
I’m also going to try to be better at replying to comments. Sorry!

Random Thoughts
Agh! Not again! And for real this time too… – Twilight Manhwa. While not anime or manga, still makes me shudder. Let’s pretend I did my usual “I know I shouldn’t be judgmental when I haven’t read the whole thing, but Twilight irks me” speech and let me just say that many fans I’ve met are insufferable. Including my own friend Rebecca. She starts talking about it and I just have to tune her out unless I want a fight.
I do not want the sort of hardcore fans that would look into everything Twilight coming anywhere near my anime fandom. I shudder to think of the possibility that within my first few conventions I’ll be seeing people cosplaying as sparkly vampires. Ignoring how they’d even do it since they all just seem to dress up in normal clothes.
Which would make it not just cosplay that’s not anime (at an anime convention), but lazy cosplay too. Bleh. (Wow, I’m so well on my way to becoming a cosplay elitist, aren’t I?)
I did two preorders this week~ - And I’m not telling what they are~ Because I’m a bitch~ I’m probably going to end up going for one more too. We’ll see. ^_^

Now on the short soap opera plot which has been “Will Fuyu be able to attend NYAF!?” we’ve reached something of a conclusion. I bought my ticket this week when my mom started feeling well and got in her planning mode. Chances are that my dad can’t come, but we’re all going on a trip to New York City in August for some reconnaissance! That way even if he can’t come, and my mom doesn’t have someone who can come with her, she can still manage.
Oh how I love my mom when she’s feeling well. She’s the stuff of mama legends!
No one plans a vacation like her. She can even do it just a week in advance!

Shugo Chara! x Little Busters! is an…interesting mix. So true about there being so many parodies. (I’ve seen a lot of parodies on the opening, but that’s because the Little Busters! opening is so awesome! =3) The Shugo Chara! x Little Busters! cosplay crossovers gave me a new thing to draw. I’m going to try it out now~!
Yah, it really does seem hard make an adaptation, especially a book to a movie. (I can’t think of anything to say about Harry Potter since I haven’t seen the movie and it’s been a long time since I was a fan of the Harry Potter series) Normally I like things to go along just like the originally storyline (because the thing I like the most of a story is the plot) but I accept things that have to be cut out and adaptation-original things inserted. (That is if they don’t overdue the latter)
A fandom of something can influence me to what I think about it, it especially if it’s fandom is really large (Twilight). Because so many girls around my age love the series, I decided to read the 1st book and I had quite some expectations. I was disappointed in it because of that. Fandom can also ruin it when you hear so many spaz-out-like things from rabid fans. (like “EDWARD IS SO CUTE!!!!1!!!11111″ and that sort of thing you hear from practically all of the fans)
Have fun in NYAF~!!! (How long are you staying there?)
Dang, I haven’t commented here in a long time.July 18th, 2009
HP 6 was itself,a teen hormone, that’s what I’ve decided. When I went to the midnight premiere it was like back and forth happy/sad/happy/sad, which wasn’t good, it just made it more fun. I was a littl sad over the whole kissing scene, but I thought they did a bang up job, though when they were in the cave that could of lasted longer. I got one pre order and 3 orders (?) Kannagi 1 and 2 and then ouran :D yay!! for christmas in july because i am sooo not getting any presents anymore XD I’m looking forward to your Shugo Chara post! I want to see how you like it, I actually enjoyed it, I didn’t think I would (or what I’ve seen of it.)
July 18th, 2009
I will not say anything about Harry Potter in this comment. Honestly…I’m not a fan of the series. I will say that it’s better than Twilight though! (Ha, just about anything is for me.)
But oh my gawd! Shugo Chara and Little Busters!!! I really never expected that, but Rin and Amu are pretty similar, huh? (They both love kitties~ Amu’s kitty is just…bigger.
) And I wanna try drawing Rin x Amu crossovers!
Yaayyy for inspiration
finally! And AGAIN with this twilight stuff? It’s true, fandoms ruin everything. Most of my friends are fans and I don’t like talking about sparkly vampires. Really, the thought creeps me out.
Hooray for being able to go to awesome conventions! Have fun~!
And OMG, the good shounen romance is coming back!?

Wow were actually really really similar. :O 18 year old who watched inuyasha and then got brought into to world of anime and manga from it and is now 18.
I’m excited for Inuyasha :D

More Inuyasha! That’s pretty nice to hear. Hope they finish the series anime wise. Gotta watch the newest HP soon.

Ack, Harry Potter 6 left out tons of the really good memories of Tom Riddle. One where he’s gathering the Horcruxes, one about his mom before everything, and a few of the others not worth mentioning. I enjoyed the parts with Dumbledore, too, because he was much closer to Harry this time around, which reminded me of something that Dumbledore himself said that I had forgotten due to the space between the characters–”I cared about you too much.” I think that the past five movies didn’t emphasize that as much as it is in the books. They did put in more Ginny/Harry stuff which was nice. The Horcruxes weren’t as big as they were in the book, which was weird considering the whole plot revolves around them in the seventh book.
SC!Little Busters was aweshume!!! I loved it! Amu and Rin are indeed similar…Hehe, never noticed that before.
GRAGH, people who dress up as the sparkly Twilight vampires scare me…Goodness, Twilight was okay, but (I’m kind of a teensy bit really addicted to reading vampire books…heh…) I’ve read ones that are quite a bit better. Really. Twilight was fun when it was first published, but after everyone got a hold of it with the movie and romanticize Rob/Edward, it got sickening because they have not a lot to back up thier reasoning for liking Twilight so much besides, “HOT VAMPIRES!!!!!!1111″ or “EDWARD!!!!!!11.” So I stay away from Twilight now.
Enjoy NYAF!

Hmm, your review on HP is making me consider watching it, it seems to be worth watching! I read a review that stated it focused more on teenage hormones than anything else, so I was wavering. Although I have to say, the trailer makes it look damn good.
@Murasaki: I completely agree with you on your Twilight statement. I loved the Twilight fanbase a few years ago, and I was addicted to Twilight. But I ditched the whole thing after Breaking Dawn came out. I swear, a 16 year old’s fanfiction could have more flair. After the movie came out too, things only got more ugly.
July 18th, 2009
Uguu~…I loved Harry Potter when I was kid like nothing else (heh, everyone remembers me as the girl who would always be reading one of those books during recess and lunch). It was actually the turning point of me actually taking up reading
I use to read to get allowance from my parents and wasted it all on Pokemon cards
. Still like it now, of course, but I kind of let go of my crazy fangirling quite a while ago. But I’m glad everyone enjoyed the movie even though I don’t plan on seeing it. At least the fans can get a movie adaptation that was more satisfying than disappointing. And everyone just loves to jump onto the Fall 2009 bandwagon, eh? Lol ^^
OMG, that MAD is LOVE.
Haha, it would be so fun to see Rin and Amu cosplay as each other. Plus, they have the plaid design on their uniforms so it would be just awesome if they can pose together. KEWL~
ARGH! Now I want Little Busters! animated more than ever! Dx I don’t care if it’s not in the fall or winter but make it in the spring! SpringSpringSpring! …*sniff* TwT
When you become a cosplay elitist, I hope you carry around your bat with you and discipline/kick-out those
failfans that’s threatening to pollute our community. It’s fine if they want to fangirl their brains to goo but not on this territory, they’re not! D8<Preorders again? Waaaaiii! Make a post when you get it~ x3
Yay~ You’re coming to New York! Confused, though. Are you coming in August and September? o.o?
Well, I hope you have lots of fun in the city with your family. And uh…enjoy the super summer clearance sales! lol XDD

Hey fuyu!!!, since I friended u on myanimelist.net as thunderbolt3 I have been reading your blog all the time. It is awesome how i can agree and disagree yet want to read more. So for 1- I can’t wait for inuyasha season two to come out, but as a deadly sin, I want it to be dubbed because i liked it that way more for some unknown reason. 2- THat Shugo Chara amv is awesome, I especially love the way they put nagi/nadeshiko 3- Harry Potter was great and I really enjoyed reading this and wanted to thank u for all the great reading I get here. I am going to nyaf too so maybe u should have a stand or something so i can properly thank u. Thank u fuyu I can’t wait to read more@!!!

Yeah the ginny protrayal in HPHB threw me, but it made more sense in the movieverse. They changes didn’t really bother me either that much, except I wanted to see Voldy’s grandad, mother and uncle. Sigh maybe next time.

Maybe the image is related because it’s dark-ish and the post has HP?? xDD I have no idea what I’m thinking right now. Well, I suppose I could send my fanart of SnM next time I comment. But I don’t usually make fanart, so just for a warning, it will suck. Dx
Anyways, wow. After all these years I thought Inuyasha was completed and done with. But it really isn’t surprising. I was a fan of Inuyasha, but I never finished the series. >_< But anyways, it sounds good. ^_^ And an OVA just from manga material? It really is a shounen miracle.
I never knew it was by a female mangaka, but that makes it all the more better. For some reason I think female mangakas are better at making the romance more believable and well, just better (there are some exceptions I believe though). Hence why shoujos are usually made by females. xD They make it more consistent. Probably why a lot of females love Inuyasha too. It’s got that nice romance tied into it, rather than just the side stuff like most shounen. I shouldn’t be stereotyping though. xDD Hope I explained that okay. :/
But anyways, omg~ the promo pic looks like there’s going to be an “awww”some scene (*gets shot for terrible pun that was originally unintentional*).
Whoa, that is pretty creepy. o_o
More reasons to fall in love with Fall, the winning season. ^^
Kyaa!~ That SC M@D video was terrific! *fangirls over all of it* Hmm…cosplaying as one another, that sounds interesting. xD
Will be looking forward to your posts as usual~ ^_^
Grr…
When I first heard the news I reacted with multiple emotions, lol. Sort of ._. first, then O_O, then “Nuu!!!111″, and now just D:< rage~ It's just upsetting how much closer it is to the anime fandom. Next thing you know, Twilight fans of the manhwa alone will be considering themselves "real" manga fans…somehow.
Um, I don't get how they would cosplay as Twilight because, like you said, they dress up in normal clothes. -_- I guess they'll use it as an excuse if they don't cosplay or something. But it would definitely be a totally lazy cosplay.

Oh wow. So there’s gonna be another Inuyasha series? Well might as well finish off those five hundred- something chapters with an anime(I stopped reading the manga at chapter 320. Waaaay too long).
That new Harry Potter movie. I heard from the camp counselers that it was a total let-down. I’ve only read 4 of the books so I don’t really know what happens, so I’m being lazy and depending on the movies.
It’s awfully surprising that people are going as Twilight characters at an anime convention. That’s totally stupid. Twilight is a book and or movie that is more popular than it needs to be that was created by an American author(I don’t consider anything created by American authors as anime). There aren’t even graphic novels for it. It’s just a really good book that was turned into a horrible movie. I wonder how people were able to pull off the sparkly skin part though.

Azura: The opening even has a general Key series parody. Oh and I saw the picture. Very cute.
For adaptations, I basically just feel that if something can reach the same conclusion with the same sort of “feeling” behind it, it’s okay. Agh…hard to explain, but I hope you get what I mean.
I immediately went into Twilight disliking it somewhat I think, before the rabid fanbase evolved the way it did because it was being called “The Next Harry Potter” and I was obviously skeptical, since “Harry Potter” was the first book of its kind. I was right since I read the back of the book and immediately wanted to barf.
I hate romance-focused books. They always come out horribly mushy and just “bleh” to me.
Karen:
THat’s exactly it! The movie had its flaws, I’m just more willing to forgive this time because it was so damn fun. But yes…I missed the kissing scene where Harry just goes for it in front of the whole Gryffindor house.
Kotoni: Aww…a non-Harry Potter fan. But I have to say, that’s the one thing I appreciate Twilight for. Everyone realizes that there is much worse out there than a slightly childish series of books with a corny good vs. evil story. Sparkly vampires are much worse on the cornball scale. As is almost any romance-focused book.
Haha~ They do both love kitties~ That’s a great thing to add. I’m keeping it in mind.
Amutofan123: Same for me. One of the few I like because there’s enough girls (and romance~) to offset all the boring action!
Kelly: And even better! We’re both willing to admit it! Too many fans abandon the anime that really brought them to anime.
Seinime: From what I read it’s picking up where it left off, right until the end!
Murasaki: Yes, they did. But I always knew we were getting 1-3 memories at most. The ring was explained away easily as “his mother’s ring” so I think it’s okay. I’m only wishing that the last memory was included as well, with Voldemort asking for the job.
I wonder how you even cosplay as them aside from adding gross amounts of body glitter. It’s just regular clothes.
Snowflakes: Ah. Well, it kind of does. I’d say it’s really half and half. But it was so much fun. and since it’s the last movie at school, I feel like you can let it slide.
Xiao Jie: My crazy fangirling has subsided as well. But…well it’s like a little 12 year old starts jumping around inside me whenever something new comes out. Except when it was the books, I still adore those. You just have to admire how much thought was really put into them. So much foreshadowing and…ah~ It’s beautiful. That is why I get offended whenever someone compares Harry Potter to the Twilight books which apparently each were based off of a dream and took mere months to write. The HP books all took about a year each, plus all of that planning JK Rowling did for the whole story beforehand. Bah…Twilight.
Oh god yes, the plaid too~ (And I second Spring! I have Fall to tide me over until then, so SPRING!!!)
Of course. I’ll dust it off and bring it with me to NYAF. No disciplining when I’m Nagisa though. Part of my elitist nature requires me to act like the character I’m cosplaying.
They won’t be coming for a couple of months…I think my earliest right now is September.
Yup, I’m coming in August AND September. August for “research” (and my birthday~) and then September for NYAF.
It’ll only be for three days, I doubt I’ll get to see much. Most of the time will probably be spent just trying to survive (I have a horible sense of direction).
mo0on12: Well it was a wonderful MAD of course~ And it just hit both of my biggest weaknesses (for series~) at once.
Well, it turned out that I didn’t have the time to blog it this week, but the reaction via Twitter: “I SAW KUKAI AND UTAU STANDING NEXT TO EACH OTHER IN THE PREVIEW!!! There will be much fangirl spazzing next week.”
NinjaSheik: You only have to wait until Fall. Lucky, eh?
Choux: Oh~! Now I want to see~! *waits
anxiouslypatiently*Mikey: It must be my special fangirl magic.
Well, if you watched the dub first, that’s enough of a reason. I might still have preferred the dub if Kagome’s voice didn’t start bothering me to no end.
Ah! Maybe I’ll see you at NYAF then. You may just be able to spot me wearing my easily recognizable Amu outfit or as Nagisa.
warriorhope: *sigh* It did make more sense in the movieverse, but I’ll miss Ginny’s jokes and…stuff. Well, like I said, her “spunk” but the movie version Ginny is still pretty good.
Oh god, I almost don’t want Little Busters! because there’s already so much!!
blossomgirl101: Ooo, maybe~ Let’s just say that I had that in mind all along.
I’m starting to realize now that it’s an accomplishment that I did finish the series. Every single filler and everything. I’m just glad they made it worth it in the end by deciding to finish it off after all.
I will second that! I think it’s partially because female manga-ka won’t worry about making it all pandering for the boys. The male lead doesn’t have to be a complete loser, because the female manga-ka knows that girls don’t really like complete losers. Obviously.
God, most shounen have insane amounts of shipping, so when I was a newer fan I went into them expecting something like InuYasha, but there was barely anything to ship with and I never latched onto any couples…because there weren’t any.
)
Ohoho~ There is going to be an awwwsome scene (and if you get shot for that pun, I need to be too, because I’ve used it far too much
OH GOD THEY WILL! But then they’ll attach themselves to popular series like Shugo Chara…and I’ll have to kill myself.
7: Psh. No it won’t. I’ll be taking care of all the Sora no Manimani images myself!
Rin: It’s long if you’re not reading it weekly as it’s published. That way it seemed to go by fairly quickly for me. Just five minutes to read it once a week.
I’ll refrain from saying anything about your camp counselors. Honestly, people just overreact about every movie because they loved the books so much. Compared to the past, this one was done very well. It’s different from the book, but this time it was still entertaining and kept the overall mood.
No, I think you misunderstood me. No one is going as Twilight characters yet. There’s the fear of them going because there are currently graphic novels being written for them.
Um…and I’ll be my elitist writer self for a moment and say that the book was really good in an entertaining way for writers. I wouldn’t call it “really good” from a literary standpoint.

I have to say the new Harry Potter film was one of the best. Though I feel a little dissapointed as Ginny’s acting had almost no personality. I’m sorry but to be perfectly honest I thought her acting was quite wooden, maybe it’s her voice, I don’t know. And the Burrow scene, that was a pretty major thing to add in how are they gonna fix it? will it just not be there? Because that probably won’t work. I’m starting to think Twilight isn’t all I thought it to be. When I first read it I loved it possibly even more than Harry Potter, but when I re-read all the books… Bella really annoys me now. She always says how selfish she is and I’m believing it. She has her daughter and practically gives it to Rosalie so she can spend time with Edward. Plus Harry Potter’s characters are better developed and more believable. Feel free to hate me Twerds but once the Edward-sparkle fades away… you get what you get. Very long preaching session over.

Harry Potter.
While most reviews I’ve read or opinions I’ve head on the film were less than admirable, I LOVED it. I thought it was the best adaptation yet, I went in with no expectations because I knew all of the scenes they’d edited and just figured I’d end up pissed off by the end of it if I had any expectations, but even if I had had them, I wouldn’t have been disappointed. It was all really well done, even with scenes cut or changed, and the one they added (I heard that this was a scene that was originally in the book but J.K. Rowlings Editors made her cut, not sure though) And I really thought I’d just be furious about them changing the HarryXGinny kiss scene, but instead, I loved it more than the original! The romance was all done extremely well in the movie, and Slughorn’s Christmas party was just amazing, so funny with Hermione running around. Plus, I think Tom Felton did an AMAZING job at portraying how torn Draco is in his task…Okay, I’m ranting, I’m done now.
On to the Twilight Manhwa…when I first heard of it I was furious. I’m really rather tired of Twilight taking over every aspect of an EVERYONE’S life. From an Author’s stand point, while well written, it lacked any actual plot or moral value, it was just a love story that in the end, was rather predictable. At one point, I enjoyed the books, but since then all of that enjoyment has been killed by these fangirls that have jumped on the Twilight bandwagon just because everyone else loves it. They are obsessed and if you say one word against Twilight (And God forbid, the “perfect” Edward Cullen) it’s like tempting the damn apocalypse. I really find myself just wishing the entire series would go away, it infuriates me. And the fact that they are taking that an giving it an adaptation in my snug and happy Otaku world has angered me beyond belief. I feel that the anime/manga universe and the American entertainment universe are two spheres that shouldn’t touch. I do not want to hear obsessive fangirl rants over the Twilight Manhwa when I can barely handle Twilight as it is. The entire thing just angers me in so many ways it’s unreal. And the fact that Stephanie Meyer is so wrapped up in the project kind of pisses me off too. If I were her I would want nothing to do with it and rather be sick of hearing about the success of my own story right about now….Okay, second rant over.
And on to Inuyasha! I’m so excited for this! While I’m not as dedicated to Inuyasha as I once was, I truly love the series. It was among the first anime I watched, and along with Sailor Moon, tempted me into the entire Otaku world. I was rather upset with the way they ended the original series, so this adaptation is going to be great for me. I doubt I’ll keep up on it regularly though, I’ll probably just wait for it to finish and then go through and watch the entire thing. ^.^
