This week is packed with Shugo Chara stuff now that I’m not forcing myself to blog it. *watches everyone panic because of “sendoff”* It’s not dropped, but it is being swept out of view after this week. Occasional posts and little mention otherwise I’d say.
Meh. *tired* I think this Weekly Extra is the product of something like…two and a half weeks? Anyway, it feels like it’s been ages since my last post. This was even supposed to pop up on Friday, but I just couldn’t manage it. I’ve been too distracted and tired.
So I got long blurbs on the missing Doki episodes and my comments on chapter 43. Now quit complaining and spamming off-topic you fangirls. Also more cosplay decisions and a new wishlist decision. Also much ranting from the pre-hiatus decision. Some of you gals were pissing me off you know.

Shugo Chara!! Doki – Episode 89: show

I didn’t post episode 89 because I didn’t have any real comments on the show because…well I’ve already basically said it, haven’t I? Lulu didn’t fit. And things turned out exactly the way I predicted they would when she first popped up.
A quote from the episode 53 post:
Oh, and anime-original villain girl showed up at the end and ultimately, she will have no impact on anything either.
Exactly right. Somewhere along the way I know I said that Lulu was probably just going to end up going back to France. After they started Ikuto’s arc while Lulu’s shit was still going on (something that still often strikes me as stupid, even if it made us less bored along the way)
I mean, I’m sure this was a good episode. It had all of the makings of one. I just can’t see it as enjoyable. It was a decent way to wrap up Lulu’s arc. The only problem is one that I’ve been hung up on forever. Lulu really serves no purpose to further the story in any way.
The episode didn’t even quite feel like one of those big arc-ending fights from Shugo Chara! either. Something was missing and it just really solidified Lulu as being a character that doesn’t fit in this series. Now matter how she was mishandled or whatever, the fact is that it all happened and Lulu doesn’t fit. I’m glad she’s gone. Though of course there’s problems with that as well.
Basically, this episode was impossible to enjoy once I got through it (and before I watched it) because of that filler syndrome. You realize that the stuff you’ve been watching really has no purpose at all and it bothers you. Especially when you watched it all for…well constant complaints about a character you just can’t really find the love for. Then you add in that every time that character interacted with a real character, things would often go off-track.
Now, while I watched the episode (and many others) there was small things to make up for the stupidity because they were enjoyable, but I don’t know. I guess I’m too much in my story-writing mode lately for me to see any good in fillers and bad characters.
Yes, they ended Lulu’s arc as nicely as it would be possible to, but that doesn’t make it “fit” any better. And that flaw destroys the whole thing.
To be honest, I don’t really want to talk about the episode much more. The small specific things just don’t seem to really matter this time around. Like how Amu’s speech about how she’s “the same” as Lulu with not knowing what her dreams are was good. Yes, it was. But it just didn’t seem to matter. Unlike in other arcs, Amu didn’t learn anything for herself. She already knew that. Even the anime-original ending to the first season had more importance than this I think.
It was all focused on Lulu who basically learned exactly what everyone watching the show has been saying all along. God knows how many times I’ve said it. Lulu is being selfish, she should see what her mother really wants. Etc.
It was a lot like Yua’s final resolution…I’m thinking of this being like a movie too where they have to focus on another character because it can’t really have an impact on the real characters in the long term.
Also, a Shugo Chara ending/befriending fight without any epic transformations or attacks from Amu just feels…wrong. It’s like it’s breaking a magical girl rule. Amu just did all of her basic stuff as Amulet Heart. Whoop-de-doo.
So to sum it up: It was a fine resolution. But a fine resolution to something that didn’t mean anything…well, it doesn’t mean anything.
Now here’s the episode’s Rimahiko:

Well, that’s one thing you can just keep coming Satelight.
Though they don’t even do Rimahiko right. More stubborn jealousy and suspicion from my Rima-tan and more sneaky trap teasing and such from Nagi!
Shugo Chara!! Doki – Episode 90: show

Hmm…as much as I’d like to talk about the episode that seems to be plot-relevant (even if it’s anime-original) there’s something itching at me. There’s a lot to be suspicious about with this one. Opening, ending, preview…you add what you see in all of them to the fact that we still have no confirmed episode count for Shugo Chara!! Doki and…well. You realize that we have no confirmed episode count for Doki.
Aside from that annoyance though…the episode was decent. Lots of those little small moments from other characters (Yukari x Nikaidou raburabu was such a bonus~). Just feels surreal watching most of it after reading chapter 42. Until one part at the end. That was a nice touch that had my suspicions about Satelight getting little spoilers from Peach-Pit for the first time in a while. When Tadase specifically thought about Ikuto and Amu communicating without words
Of course, having Tadamu fluff is completely unnatural, but not unexpected. This is what happens when you put fillers in a place where they’ll be awkward. *sigh* I told Satelight to stick with just Lulu for 26 episodes and then move onto Ikuto’s arc. It would have been boring, but there still would have been less time on her and then we wouldn’t have had things mixed up. Then there’d only need to maybe be a small pause in between Ikuto leaving Amu’s house and turning into Death Rebel and you know…everything else.
As for “Satelight running out of time” I think that’s just people panicking. -_-; Like I said, we don’t have a confirmed episode count. I severely doubt that Satelight would just run around with fillers when they have all that proper material unless they were saving it for…something. Honestly, an ongoing series is really difficult to adapt and fanbrats jump to conclusions far too easily. Like Satelight being Tadamu or Amuto fans and all the most ridiculous stuff you’ll ever hear. They’re professionals. Which is why I pick at them when they do rotten story-telling. But they know what they’re doing better than a bunch of impatient fangirls. I can tell you that much.
Really, it’s the fans reactions to everything that just tired me out and made me say that I can’t blog Shugo Chara regularly anymore. Even the nice ones. You just have so much invested in it it’s scary.

Ahem. But anyway~ The preview was really the thing that made me go, “I bet there’s more than 51 episodes this season.” It’s either that or Satelight really has screwed up. (Or a movie, which has become quite a big possibility since the second season started and production values didn’t go down all that much. Just the noticable change from 6 months of preparationg to 3 months.)
So, like I was talking about, the preview. Now I was always expecting Rhythm to pop out of his egg sooner than he did in the manga. Then Temari can pop out of her egg later on in the tower (since she’s neither in the new opening or the preview). Or they can just spoil the excitement of the moment and fill it up with Rimahiko-ness. That’s fine too.
But! Now that we’re in what should be the last season of airing, there should have only been a few episodes until Rhythm popped out of his egg. Sure enough after Rhythm there’s a couple of fillers or something.
Really, when I heard Ikuto was appearing again, I was feeling pretty confident that the next episode would be the episode where Tadase tells Amu about the past. There are about 10 chapters now that need to be covered which could translate into 10 episodes fairly easily. When you add in all the action and stuff.
Also, we’ve hit the 3 month deadline. If I’m right, the most recent chapter (or the one before it) should be the last thing that could be adapted. Especially if Peach-Pit is giving Satelight hints (oh this episode was way too much deja vu of a chapter that just came out).
However…no one ever said how many episodes Doki would be. It said another “year” when it was announced, but the first season went from 13 to 26 to 51 episodes pretty quickly (the fact that each of these was a stopping point is noticable when you watch the cheesy “conclusions” of each one). I’m not saying one year will turn into two, but I wouldn’t put it past them to make Doki longer than the original. It just seems stupid with the way they had Ikuto’s arc start up early. It would have been a difficult wait, but it really should have started back in Spring, because now we have nothing but the events from Ikuto’s arc as plot-related (Easter-related) events.
…There better be at least one episode with “taiyaki kid” in there (shhh, names are spoilers).
Oh and of course before we leave off, the episode’s “big moment”

Though I find the bigger moment being how Tadase thought about it later on before taking Amu’s hand. Seriously, seriously so remenscient of the latest chapter and I really need people to stop complaining about the episode because of this and someone special I’ll get to in a minute.
I can deal with a couple I don’t like if Satelight is making things progress realistically. Amu not being able to shout out her feelings but not having a good reason not to was great. Then Tadase thinking about this (noticing before Amu like in the manga) was even more great. There were a couple of bumpy spots and the “never doing anything blushy-blushy” shit is as annoying as ever. I despise any development that happens because of outside help, so if I was a Tadamu fan, I’d be trying to slap Yaya straight off the screen. Perhaps it’s just another one of the reasons why I have unusually strong feelings against Tadamu as a pairing overall.

And now the one who caused the episode’s big moment! Yoru! And he was the best chara ever this episode. I just squee’d up a storm when he said that he did love Ikuto and when he shouted for Ikuto later in the episode he made me tear up a bit. I won’t say that fangirls don’t have the right to be mad, but it’s cruel for them to ignore Yoru being wonderful this episode when they rant about this episode. CRUEL! (Suu’s Eru impressions was also win btw, though it backfired making me roll around wishing Eru was there for the rest of the episode)

Manga

Shugo Chara! chapter 42 was awesomecakes. Screw anyone who says otherwise. I don’t care if it’s your opinion you’re not allowed to have one! *unreasonable* lol
But really…it’s shoujo. Getting upset about the possibility raburabu being in the conclusion of a shoujo (especially a series in Nakayoshi or Ribon) seems rather pointless. I don’t really even know if shoujo manga without any romance at all exist. I feel like people were turning Shugo Chara! into something that it’s not just because it breaks a few stereotypes.
Also complaining about side characters not getting enough development is pretty good too. Between all of the sparkle attacks and overarching plot that’s required in mahou shoujo, I’m surprised that Shugo Chara! has four main characters that were developed quite well. Plus most characters aren’t over the age of 12. They don’t even know who they are themselves so how can Peach-Pit tell everyone else who they are? Sillies~
But yeah. Let’s get down to serious business now full of spoilers. (and of course all scans are from our lovely scanlation group Futari Wa Pretty Anon)show
lawl. The dramatic ending scene that makes fangirls panic makes Fuyu go “Fuck yeah. OTP.”
YEAH!!! VICTORY FOR AMUTO!!!
I’m tired of being cautious guys. Sensibility popped in when Amu hugged Ikuto and in the back of my shipper mind all I can say is, “There’s at least no way that Amu will end up with anyone else after this point. An open end isn’t out of the question, but come on!!”
Ikuto saying that he can’t see Amu anymore (there are many variations, but “aenai” is in there and that really should only have one meaning), actually proves that we have our end couple. It perfectly leads into the only way the age difference can be solved. As much as people declare that there’s nothing wrong with an age difference, which is true, it doesn’t change the fact that Amu is 12. She’s really too young to be getting seriously involved with anyone.
Of course, Ikuto’s a good boy so he won’t be taking advantage of our young little Amu-chan. But if he’s around Amu…then that’s just awkward, isn’t it? Amu already wants to be “by Ikuto’s side” and we all know Ikuto likes Amu, but now that neither of them have any reason to try and forget about their feelings…what happens? They’re both at two different points in their life and Amu can’t go growing up too fast to catch up with Ikuto.
I always figured that 16 is the age where almost anything can become okay if there’s enough love (yes, even in the real world). It’s just that in the real world, it doesn’t work because there’s bad people who will take advantage of someone. In fiction anything is possible, so that’s why plenty of girls can sit back and say that as long as the older person is willing to “wait” it’s okay. Because it’s fiction, they can really mean it.
And what am I about to say about a maturity gap…?
But there’s still the maturity gap, even if Amu and Ikuto are on a similar level, they’re still not there. So I figure Ikuto can come back when Amu’s 16 and I’ll be a perfectly happy girl. Amu can’t turn older than 16 though. There’s a good fan-based idea of what Amu would be like when she’s 20+ which I approve of, but I’d like for that to stay fan-based.
Also psh to anyone who thinks Amu’s decision is sudden. She’s been moving away from Tadase and toward Ikuto since chapter one where…she literally did that. Sure, she got closer to Tadase, but it really wasn’t much of a competition if you watched closely. Tadase started something (like taking Amu out for shopping) and then Ikuto came along and topped it (Ice cream licking~). Peach-Pit tricked people into thinking the playing field was level by having Amu be so tsuntsun around Ikuto. But as fans of tsundere know, the more tsuntsun you are…well it means the opposite of what you say.
Okay…now Tadase is forgiven by becoming a completely mature boy. Cute.
Plus, like Xiao has said probably a dozen times (I may have mentioned it a couple of times as well). Amu is a kid who wouldn’t understand what a real feeling like love (where you want to be by someone’s side and hold them) would mean. But a dokidoki crush on a boy who is “your type” is completely obvious. There’s nothing to think about, he’s cute, so you like him.
I really think a time skip is the only way that we get a real end couple. Amu and Ikuto both need to grow up (though I hope they’ll never grow up too much because they’re both so much fun right now) and any chances of Tadamu pretty much ended this chapter. With Amu saying her heart kind of hurt and it felt like she wouldn’t see Tadase again (or whatever it was exactly) and Tadase stepping aside in his mature, but still stubborn (and cute) way. So I think it’s either a time skip or an open end that leans toward Amuto.
Fuck yeah. Hand-holding.
Now then, to wrap this up…another psh to people who complain because it’s cliche. I think more often than not, people who complain about a “cliche” ending are young and fail to realize that the same set-up for an ending can have different outcomes. Wishing that Ikuto doesn’t come back just because it would be different…well it seems silly to me. Are you really reading Shugo Chara for its story? Not the characters? If so, you were always going to be disappointed. Shoujo doesn’t generally run on good stories. It’s emotion-based meaning it’s mostly character and relationship based as well.
These “cliche” shouters also generally use only CardCaptor Sakura as a comparison. Which is very famous, but one series alone does not create a cliche. Though of course, the leaving and meeting again thing is a bit of a cliche. But only because people copy that CCS way! Amu and Ikuto are two very different characters. If Peach-Pit decided to go the “leaving then a reunion years later” route, it would happen differently. I can’t imagine Amu chasing after a bus or something like that. Neither can I imagine her jumping into Ikuto’s arms so easily (it took seeing his whole past for it to happen). What I imagine is Amu getting a little deredere if she says goodbye to Ikuto, then when she sees him, being obviously happy but trying to cover it up with tsuntsun (but she can’t quite manage it because she’d be too happy to see him).

Just because something generally resembles a bad fanfiction, doesn’t mean it’ll be like a bad fanfiction. One thing that would automatically set the manga ending apart if it does go that route is that Peach-Pit is good at dialogue. Scenes they write for Amu and Ikuto interacting feel natural. They’re the creators after all. So I have faith in an ending that is true to the characters and I believe that’s a good ending. Plus bad fanfiction writers miss all the “small stuff” before now you’d only find a handful of writers who would come up with Ikuto catching Amu when she’s falling off of the merry-go-round (if that) now it’ll become common on ff.net. -_-
Now, for people saying Amuto fans can’t celebrate total victory yet because Peach-Pit is Peach-Pit and they haven’t done shoujo before…well yeah. But they’ve done romance before. I never read Dears, but I believe it was pretty obvious where the romance in that was going. The main girl that the story revolved around was the end girl, right? Well, Ikuto’s story was the last and biggest of the main characters, so there you have it. They’re still following the general rules.
Oh yeah also: And obvious (and immature) haha~ to the fans in denial who went, “friends hug their friends all the time” and shit back in chapter 39. Not saying that it’s not true, but if a girl’s never hugged anyone before and then she reaches out and hugs one of the two boys she’s supposed to end up with…yeah. I mean you can say that it doesn’t mean “for sure” but don’t go in the totally opposite direction. You just look stupid and you’re only going to make your bitchfit worse when things turn out in the obvious way.

Oh yeah and Rimahiko got its first hints of canon romance this chapter with Yaya saying that they had that mood going on. I’m quite happy with that. Even though Rimahiko honestly gets more of it’s development in the anime (except when they haven’t done it right
). Just a nice reminder about how an anime can be good for something.
Also, it’s nice seeing Ikuto be so carefree again. It’s been way too long. I miss the spacey, odd Ikuto that we got to see more earlier on (like Ikuto sleeping in a hole of all places) because we didn’t know about his problems. His way of asking Amu to the amusement park was just classic.
Now ends this long ramble and random ramble on the latest chapter. Let’s end it with a super tsuntsun Amu picture.

Oh Amu~ Even if you grow up I hope you still keep your stubborn tsuntsun side for when Ikuto’s being especially embarrassing.

Fuyu’s Wishlist
I’ve been having this debate in my head for a while. Nia vs. Nia. Which figure of my favorite Gurren Lagann girl do I want?

Wave’ Nia was the first one I saw and I immediately loved it, but it has a downside…bathing suit. I’m not fond of bathing suit figures for the obvious reason that…I am a girl. But this one seems to be pretty low on fanservice and just look cute. So I pretty much decided to order it as soon as I was able to. And the plan was to get the long-haired Nia, because…I really want a figure of Nia with long hair.
But then Uplark released their images of their Nia. She’s in her main outfit with a very Nia-like pose and she can have both long or short hair. This one should be perfect, but I really prefer the face on Wave’s Nia.
Well. It became obvious that I’m in the middle of a very difficult decision. I don’t like buying two figures of the same character. I only need one, especially when figures get too expensive. Now, thinking of figures being expensive, I wanted to make the decision based on price, but they’re not much more than $5 different.
Uplark’s Nia has a better pose, but Wave’s Nia has a better face. It is certainly a problem. But either way, I have to get one of them. I’ll be ordering one or the other by this weekend. As of right now I’m slightly leaning toward Uplark, but I’ve gone back and forth so many times.

Cosplay
I’ve temporarily decided on a costume for Amu. I paused on it a few times before while looking through outfits, but I kept ignoring it because I convinced myself it wouldn’t be that easy. Until I stopped and really looked at it and…yeah, it probably would be that easy. It just requires some small detail work…

It would take some work, but it’s totally possible. I could probably find an almost exact pattern for the dress and then I’d just need to add the edging. The apron should be easy enough. You can tell the exact shapes that build it just by looking at it.
And it’s recognizable. From episode three (an early episode) where Suu first showed up (important moment). Plus, since most of the fandom are Amuto fans, all of them would remember that moment very clearly.
I don’t know why I skipped over it so often. I guess with the outfit being so…big (lol) that it just looked more complicated than it really is. It’s not easy to find an exact pattern, but I’m working on some plans that should make it possible. I guess the pigtails might be a problem too…there’s a wig I already have my eye on (every cosplayer probably knows which one I’m thinking of) and I’m just not quite sure if I can get Amu’s pigtails to be properly layered and give them that cute bouncy look. But that’s what I can bother my friend about.
All that’s left before I start on this costume is trying out a pink wig. Even if this one doesn’t work out, Xiao was wonderful enough to send me scans of all of Amu’s outfits so I’m sure to find something I want to do. (Thank you~)
Also, I fully decided on a Nagisa-mama cosplay. I found a pattern that should work. I’ll sew it and worst case scenario, if it’s not perfect, I’ll just have something to wear otherwise (always wanted a white sundress~). No matter what though it should look very close so if nothing else works out I’ll have a guaranteed backup!

Blog Related
Well, I already explained my blog slowdown this week. Basically it’s just there to avoid a burnout.
Anyway, I’m still working on Taishou Yakyuu Musume and the rest of my plans (as of right now) are on my Schedule page.
Also there’s a new poll that went up yesterday inspired by things that are rather obvious. At least they should be once you see a small rant in the Random Thoughts.

Random Thoughts
Hmm…and the series with the heart-shaped attack is surely all serious business…
Ending Series - This is probably my biggest issue with a fandom. How fans of all ages and experience will turn into a pile of fanbrats when a series starts to reach its conclusion. I remember this back when ShinKuro ended and now it’s happening again with Shugo Chara! and it sucks. Fans start running off in all these different directions, wanting all sorts of different endings, some of them just to spite less mature fans and it’s really annoying. I think I find myself incredibly offended by it as a “writer” (I can’t call myself that really without quotes because I don’t feel worthy of the title). All of these people who think a series would be better with the ending that they came up with. Really…that’s the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard.
It’s simply not possible that you put more thought into these characters and what they would do than the people who made them. Sure, there are writers who are flippant and just do stuff to make money or hurry through an ending because they get bored. However, most of the time I’d say that’s not the case. There’s a special feeling in creating a character or a story and you want to see it through to the end. Because it’s something that is uniquely yours.
Everyone can’t be pleased with a series ending. Everyone is different. But usually a writer who does their job well will please the majority of the fandom. In regards to shipping, there’s usually a reason why most people like the person a girl or guy ends up with in the end. Either they’re put forward more or their scenes are made more entertaining, but there’s a reason. Usually I only feel like readers have a right to complain about an ending when they’re lead astray by the writer who clearly wasn’t doing their job properly if they lead the majority to become displeased with an ending.
To put it simply, everyone needs to shut up. Even I speculate on the ending, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be upset if it doesn’t turn out the way I want it to. The only way you could bother me if things suddenly went in an entirely opposite direction. Like I said, I hate that “misleading” thing that some writers do. An ending needs a proper lead-up to the ending (AkaSaka is a good example here of failure to do this resulting in a failure of a series).
So if the ending doesn’t come out of nowhere then it’s a proper ending. So everyone needs to shut up and move on when this happens. Really, I intend to cut all ties to the Shugo Chara fandom once I’m done blogging. Everyone either gets too into it and that bothers me or ruins my own fangirling time and that bothers me like nothing else. It’s just a series, even if you love it and continue to treasure it, it’s still just a series. Once you don’t have something new every week, you’ll start to forget about it and you’ll move on. Things will bring the nostalgia back and even get you feeling the fangirl love again, but it’s not the same. So calm down now before you leave all sorts of traces of idiocy that you’ll look back on and hate when you’re older.
*sigh* I really just don’t understand why people don’t understand moderation. Even I, who am known for my fangirling (pretty much known by that alone), have some idea of it.
How dare you take out their stupidity on this adorable Amu-chan!
Hating Fans vs Hating a Series - It’s not the same thing. Not at all. Just because a series breeds rabid disgusting fans doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just means that it’s overrated by some of the fandom. There’s some wish fulfillment in there that appeals to them on this extreme level…and usually they’re young. They’re much more easily influenced by thing you’re already familiar with. Yes, hot bishie is hot, I will fangirl, but…well that’s it. -_-
It seems stupid to me to let your feelings for other fans influence your feelings for a series or character. I struggle with it myself sometimes. It’s taken all my strength sometimes not to confuse Tomoyo fans with Tomoyo herself, though admittedly when two characters are compared, you will see more flaws in the other one (I used to like Tomoyo a lot more, but now I can’t help but think that she’s boring compared to a lot of the other girls). This can’t be helped. And you’re not abandoning your love for your most beloved character!
However! Hating, disliking, or just changing your favorite because one character is more popular is so stupid. Fans have nothing to do with what the creator meant when coming up with a character. In fact, usually those most rabid fans have a completely different (and wrong) view of the character than you do. You just have to look at fanfiction (especially of the AU kind) to see that.
Basically this lecture sums itself up as: Fandoms suck. Ignore them when they show themselves to be retarded. Even when morbid curiosity leads you places, hate the fans that are ruining the fandom, not the series. Because it’s impossible for fans to ruin a series unless you let them. Sure sometimes they pop up in your view and ruin things by posting on your blog, but get angry at them, not that which they clung to like a parasite. After all, anything that has parasites is not fond of them.
Of course, there are exceptions to this. Some series run purely on Mary-Sue’s and wish-fulfillment and thus breed the fans that would like that shit, so you can hate those series. But chances are you wouldn’t have liked them in the first place.
But Don’t Worry! The Shugo Chara fandom is not alone! – Haruhi fandom is as annoying as ever. All of their complaints about repeating the same episode when all they have to do is stop watching it. They even make a big deal out of not watching it by announcing it all dramatically. Anyway, it all sucks and nothing would make me happier than to see the Haruhi fandom die. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if Kadokawa and KyoAni hate them too and are messing with them on purpose.
Maybe I’m just annoyed because I don’t see the point of so many people blogging Haruhi just to say, “It’s the same as last week.” then going into a rage bitch rant.
SaiMoe – I suppose I should clarify it as the Japanese SaiMoe, but since it’s the original I feel that’s a bit unnecessary. Anyway, I started voting in the preliminaries this week. Now my interest in the preliminaries fade in and out. I skip days of voting just because it’s too much trouble, but I still like voting when I remember and have the time. It’s fun. Just thought I’d remind people who like to participate in the preliminaries.
As for instructions, well I don’t really need them anymore, so I can’t present links off the top of my head. Just google it I’d say.

So…about the second character song collection for Shugo Chara… – …Well, yeah. You can see the cover for it it above. Of course there are two reactions right away. The intended nosebleeds I’m sure by both fanboys and fangirls or…XDDDDD I was the latter. Specifically it was, “Oi! Just what age group is this supposed to be geared at anyway! XD”
Rima, Yaya, Yua, and Tadase seem to be the only ones wearing enough clothes or not being suggestive…or both.
I could probably include Nagi, but you can’t fully see him. I am fond of it though…after you get over the initial shock it looks quite cool. But…honestly~ I thought all of the merchandise was getting even more cutesy and stuff and then they make this 180 turn!
I will say one thing, got me looking forward to Ikuto’s song. I want damn sexy Yuichi Nakamura singing! Even more damn sexy than usual!!!

I’m still planning on going to NYAF, but I thought I should let people know not to talk to even mention it to me because it’ll put me in a bad mood. I’m refusing to let my parents put this on the backburner and I’m forcing them to make a decision within the week on what they’ll do to make someone come with me. If not I told them I’m going by myself. It could be an empty threat, but at least it would make them move.

I was wondering how they would deal with the age difference as well in Shugo Chara. But maybe they will use the Embryo – if it actually exists because I’m getting doubts about that – because of what Ikuto said in episode 74, “hurry and grow up”. I’m not sure which chapter in the manga it is. Okay, they wouldn’t. I think. But I have no idea how they are going to deal with it otherwise, because even if they wait until Amu is 16, there’s still that age difference.
Amu’s outfit bothers me a little, as although it may be in the colours she’d wear, I do not think that this outfit is something she would wear. I do like the belt though
The cosplay outfit is really cute! I’ve always really liked the cat on it. But how are you going to do the hair X’s? Are you going to make them yourself? I have never seen any in stores or something so I was wondering.
I think I’m in the same “group” as you with the song collections. Somehow Ikuto’s image doesn’t seem to be done right or something to me. Yua, Yaya and Rima look really cute

I get a little disappointed too with figurines. I see cute ones all the time…and they are basically wearing dental floss on the top or bottom.
Just bleh.
How many episodes of Doki are left? At this point i might as well wait and marathon it.

Episode 89 was…. meh…… I’m just happy that we can say goodbye to those ? egg thingys.
I loved Ami’s little harem in episode 90. She is too cute. I like Nikaido x Yukari, but I couldn’t help but feel bad for Suu too….
When Yoru cried, I cried. It makes me want a shugo chara!
Chapter 42. I think we pretty much have a guarunteed Amuto ending. Amu has pretty much realized her feeling for Ikuto, so why would she go back to Tadase?
Much Tadase love in this chapter! He is officialy my new little brother! What he did was so sweet and mature of him.
There was Rimahiko too. We also got to see Utau and Ikuto’s mom. I used to hate Gozen before I knew who it was, but turns out the whole time everything was all really evil step-dad’s fault.
And finally, the character song collection.
Ikuto. *insane fangirl giggling* Why does he have to be so sexy? I wish we could see more of Nagi though…..
But yea, I’m looking forward to all of them. I really can’t wait!
July 11th, 2009
Wait, why does Yua get a character song? She’s been in like 2 episodes, if anyone I mean at least Lulu. Well Yua > Lulu in general, but that suprised me.
July 11th, 2009
Yuuichi Nakamura singing… *imagines Yuuichi Nakamura on stage with a microphone, singing with a bright, pink, sparkly Shugo Chara Concert logo*
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Okay, yes, I’m being random. Anyway, I’d never thought I’d see the day where the characters of Shugo Chara… er, let’s say dressed slightly more dangerously.
It’s strange that Yua’s getting a character song, but oh well. It’s Rie Kugimiya, so I don’t really care as long as it’s one of my all-time favorite seiyuus.
Yes, agreed that the Haruhi fan base is TERRIBLE. I was never that into the anime because of how Mary-Sue the characters are. (Haruhi = Jerk Sue/God Mode Sue, Yuki = God Mode Sue (kinda), Mikuru = Purity Sue/Black Hole Sue)
Oh wait, that was Haruhi Suzumiya I just criticized. *runs from angry fan boys and fan girls*
Is it just me or is fandom just fan-DUMB these days? Other people are just trying to force their opinions on us… =.=

Haha, yes. Amu really does need to stay tsuntsun for Ikuto. I mean, c’mon, she’s just too cool and spicy!
And frankly, I have to agree with you about how the Lulu arc just didn’t fit into the story. It’s really a shame that the anime NEEDS filler simply because they would catch up with the manga awfully quickly otherwise. All in all though, I didn’t mind the Lulu arc. It helped set up quite a few quirky/amusing filler episodes (I loved the one with the preschool Clay King).
But now I’m just excited about the REST of the series. We can finally get the plot rolling! (I really want to see Amulet Fortune in all her sparkly, shoujo, colored glory. And Pirate Ikuto? Yup.)
As for the character song collection…*snorts at Ikuto’s bare chest*
July 11th, 2009
I’m just someone passing by, who occasionally reads your blog and I have to say, I completely understood the feeling of deja vu during episode 90 after reading chapter 42. It was crazy!
I’m totally supporting a time skip as well. I think Ikuto has two reasons for leaving:
1) To find his father Aruto.
2) And a hidden reason — to allow Amu time to grow up.
It gets on my nerves that Amuto fans complain about Ikuto leaving, sure I was hurt when he declared that he was never going to see Amu again, but I didn’t go screaming and running around like a headless chicken like some.
Like Amu said in a previous chapter, Ikuto can be responsible when he wants to. I believe he’s uncomfortable with the age gap as well.
Oh, and it also irritates me when certain people call Ikuto a pedophile. Seriously have they even been paying attention to the manga?
Don’t push yourself too hard, life comes before this blog

NEW CHARACTER SONG CD = <333333 Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Do you mind if I add you to my blogroll? 8D
July 12th, 2009
I’m sorry…I’m probably one of those annoying fangirls who easily jumps to conclusions…you’re right as usual, of course.
Oooh, but I want that CD now…
July 12th, 2009
I’m
kindaglad Lulu’s gone no more ? eggs and no more annoying selfish-ness I mean I’m not against certain characters beign selfish but she was way off the topAs for the whole age gap issue I like the reunion idea but still it’s kinda sad imagine Amu with Ikuto for that long sure he would come back but still the thought seems a little depressing to me (personally) but Amu does need to grow up. I kinda feel sorry for peach-pit because they are choosing the ending with lots of immature fans whining about one thing or another
Also with chapter 42 my tiny bit of dislike for tadase almost dissapeared (it was created from the anime the whole idslike thingy) he said such mature things and seemed to accept Ikuto will win (lol I’m an amuto fangirl thru and thru) or at lest why Ikuto will win ^^
I can’t wait for the next chapter but I have a feeling that Ikuto will just do his too cool act and try to dissapear with out a real explanation >.< I really hope he doesn't do that!
Wow I wrote a lot maybe it has to do with the noosbleed that CD cover gave me (lol) I want that CD now!!!
.///////. It's just so smexii!
July 12th, 2009
I forgot about Lulu already so don’t have anything else to add to her. Ah, and that’s just being redundant in itself. ^^;
Not much to say about episode 90 either though I was glad it was going back in the direction of the plot. Too true that at the airing at the same time chapter 42 came out, the anime just…fell flat on its butt and I’m just staring at it “Ok, how long are you going to sit there?” Cuz I can wait as long as it takes for them to finish the arc properly if they plan to stretch it. No complaints here (haha, after affects of 42, perhaps?). A movie would be nice but I’d rather they just finish it in episodes. Unless gigantic marshmallow X-Chara becomes more godzilla epic than it’s supposed to be. Haha, that will be fun (cuz Amu’s “Atashi no Kokoro ANROKKU!” will be even 100 times more epic on the big screen
). Let’s all aim toward the CCS horizon, hurrah!
Ha~, either way, if Satelight was smart enough to fly Lulu off, then they’re smart enough to know they can’t have a end it off at an ep 102 flop. They’re running the most popular shoujo series right now. Need to keep their “good” ratings (HAH?!) and you can’t get that without satisfied viewers…or something. Hrm. :/
*sigh* Weird. Only a week ago I was frantic over shipping and now I’m “Aha~” about everything. So strange. I don’t want to say I’m starting to detach myself from SC! (I don’t even think that’s the case given how much I rant about it
) but you’re right about the fandom, being the crazy shitastic fandom that it is, ruining the what little enjoyment that can be taken out of what we got so far. This isn’t the biggest reason but it’s the most apparent.
But girls are crazy so what do we can we expect?
*hides chainsaw* Did not see this. |D;…wow, it feels so weird to be saying this cuz I was/am one of them. <D;I’ll get to the Amuto and Tadamu deal later but thank god someone didn’t go ASJDKLFJASDLF over that moment they had in that episode. Pfft. It was pretty much almost completely one-way from how I saw it. Tadase got some points for development on his part but nobody really looks at Amu’s reaction. She’s still blushy and young and naïve as ever. And it’s fine. Cuz she’s twelve. *enormous shrug*
AGREED. Yoru owned the entire episode. I say the next Chara-only related ep should go to him as well. He’s such a good kitty. <3
And now, chapter 42…gawd, you won’t mind if I quote you for my post, right? Cuz all you said is just what I’ve been thinking. Plus a little more cuz I think Ikuto is being silly about the “won’t ever see you again” part. Yea…right. Whether he’s serious or not, I doubt this will ever stick. He only clamped onto her in her own bed a few chapters (like 4, 5 nights?) ago. And he says “I won’t ever see you again” all solemnly. Uh-huh, ok, Ikkun.
And it’s here I wish I can turn into a guy, jump into the manga, and steal Amu away to make him chase her. xD;Of course I says so many times that Amu is only a girl who doesn’t know much~ That’s one of the reasons why I love her and want to keep her all to myself. X3 *weirdo*
But anyways, yea, say that Amu and Tadase were still an elementary twosome (I refuse to use “couple”) even after all this, it would have gone down just as fast cuz Tadase’s always going to have that epic hugging scene playing over and over in his mind. And Tadase has peeled the dumb layer off already. He can see that Amu and Ikuto have a deep understanding of each other and quite frankly, that’s fine with him. He wants to see Amu happy because he likes her and he’ll always be there for her if she needs him. He’s happy with just liking her and that is very, very mature. Even if I weren’t an Amuto fan, this is so plain as day. One-sidedness can also be appreciated because it shows how sincere that person is. And it’s not like Amu has to be with another person for her life (or ours, no no no) to be fulfilling. *frown* |(
Which leads me to the next part. I’ll be honest, even though I knew Ikuto could never keep himself from seeing Amu (like
stalkingspying on her from a tree in front of her highschool, lol), I was iffy if he would ever waltz back into town one day and have a whatever kind of reunion with her. But since this chapter was so rewarding and rethinking my thoughts over and over, I can go with almost anything. It’s hard because I find that SC! teeter-totters both on story and characters (leaning more often to the latter) but I wouldn’t mind if (yes, I know this will not have 10% chance of happening) we have a marriage proposal or not. Argh, now I don’t know what I’m saying. Getting so confused again.Point is, I felt P-Pit has delivered what I wanted. It would be an extra special SUPAH awesome bonus to really see Amu become her naritai jibun (a bride) beside the one who’s the most right for her and likewise. To me, that is. Oh, and don’t forget the irresistibly adorable
kittenskiddies. <3Lol Rima will always approve of Nagi last. Awesome. XD
And of course Amu will always be stubborn blushing tsuntsun towards Ikuto. His blushing tsuntsun bride~ lawl~ xDDD
OMFG, NIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Ah…I immediately went to go look for figures after I finished watching GL. I’m not surprised at the small number of Nia figures but I can’t say I didn’t feel a little down about it either.
Well, I absolutely love both (I might lean more towards Uplark’s Nia because of the better pose) and would not hesitate to get them if I wasn’t so NGH! on my personal figure policy. D/
The way Nia’s hair is painted in both was what really convinced me to not put her on my want list (even though I love her so *tearstearstears* ;____; ). It’s not bad or anything but I felt that they used the wrong shade of blue. I know I shouldn’t be too picky cuz you can only do so much with figures but Nia’s hair is supposed to be brighter, resemble the clouds, shine and sparkle~ …yea, ya get what I mean.
But I’d go with the Uplark one. <3
Ah, yay! Haha, I totally saw myself pointing at volume 3 cover going “This! This! This!” if nothing else. XD;
I hope you find the pattern you need and able to get the wig looking right. Question, will pigtails stand up if you use enough hair spray? *just curious*
And you’re welcome~ Glad the scans will be some help to you. ^^
Ooo! Nagisa-mama! Mitai! Mitai! 8DDDD
Again, you said and addressed everything that needed to be slapped in the faces of the fanbrats. All you need is a podium and a large megaphone.
THIS. I admit that I’m one of those who also have a bit of problem with a series or a character being overrated to the point where I just want to start throwing darts at puny fans who are just ugh but I always try not to let it affect my view of the show. That’s not fair, especially if it’s really good.
I’ve had a recent…er, less favoritism in Utau but that’s mostly because of me going back and analyzing her character more. And that’s just the way I feel from my own thoughts. Nothing to do with the fans. It might have been fueled with looking at the wrong comments but it’s not worth basing everything on incredibly unreliable fandoms.
Fandoms suck. And I’m tired of dealing with them so that’s why I’m cutting back on blogging. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to continue being active in the community but it’s just easier to enjoy without dealing with them. Even though, like I said before, I seldom get comments that are too bad but…yea. Needed break is needed. :/
Lol Haruhi fandom. *rolls eyes* (This seems to be a pattern. ^^; )
Thanks for reminding me about SaiMoe. I got my code today so too late to vote now but hmm, the voting for the preliminaries still confuse me after reading the instructions. Unless I can figure it out in time, I’ll probably end up skipping them so hope that doesn’t happen (oh, and I saw Yua nominated! Yay! xD)
Lol I know this won’t happen but I wouldn’t be surprised if the CD image was a 180 degree turn on the songs themselves. Just me entertaining myself with that thought. XD;
Gawd, looking at their clothes, you would wonder when did shorts cease to be shorts and it looks as if shirts are the only thing they’re wearing. Oiyoiyoi…
Still looking forward to it, though. Chances of You-kyan singing to the violin. Ooo, that’s something I want to hear (or an Amuto duet, that’d be awesome, too
)
Wow, that was long…and confusing. ^^;

Please excuse this moment of hyper-shipper-fangirl-overdrive. KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >//////////<. They are SO meant to be!!!!!!! And, woah! Ikuto looks good on the album cover. [should I really be saying this about a fictional character?? Oh what the heck it's Ikuto!]
… kya~
July 13th, 2009
I love the cover picture :D Amu is a kitty cat xP
and chapter 42 was epic win
now it’s officially an Amuto ending
and yea, Peach-pit does use good dialogue
but a lot of people are saying there are only 12 episodes left and it’s going to be Tadamu. That’s not true is it?
Episode 89 was good I guess…I liked Lulu’s chara-nari
I thought it was pretty :D
Episode 90 made me cry. That was when Yoru made his touching speech to Ikuto
YORU~!!
Grr…both Nia’s are so cute!! I think you should get both xD But if you have to get one, then I think the second one will be good ^^ (not the bathing suit one)
And good luck on your cosplay
I’m sure it’ll turn out well :D And same for the Nagisa one. And I just noticed Amu’s apron was in a shape of a cat
but I like
I hope you get your full rest
I love reading your blog but your human so you need to let out stress and act like your age and go have fun :D (for some reason, that reminded me of the song, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” XD)
I absolutely LOVE the cover for the CD. Utau’s so pretty in there but yea, I thought Shugo Chara! is rated PG or something xD but I found out that it wasn’t. PG-13.
KYAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! IKUTO!!!!!!!
I want the CD. Now. But it sucks because I can’t exactly find any good anime stuff since I’m in the USA.
But what about Kukai and Kairi? Sure, Kairi left and Kukai is in middle school but I think they should be included. I especially want to hear Kukai sing! I’ve heard Kairi and he has a good voice! :D
Here’s a song sung by Yuichi Nakamura:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkJPcDwmDeQ
The user has a higher-pitched version but I think it was a bit off so I’m sticking to the original
July 14th, 2009
Yua’s there to sing “Secret Princess.” Can’t wait~
But I still wish that Lulu would have a song though. Why does everyone hate her so much? As for not liking her because she’s stubborn… can you imagine Lulu with any other personality? Can you?
