*goes to hide in emo closet of emo-ness* Why so soon!? Why!?
Well it’s actually going at a slower pace than the manga, but since there’s a shorter wait in between episodes than there is in between chapters it feels like it’s happening so quickly. And I’m a little fangirl wreck because they chose to go for an emo cliffhanger ending! Dammit!
*returns to the emo closet*
Ah, I’m disgusted with my emo-ing fangirl self. I think that it’s having a bigger effect on me because I’m currently feeling so stressed and busy. Then when bad things happen in anime it’s like, “No! Where’s my daily escape!” and it takes longer to recover.
We know it’s not going to be ending too soon so…fillers are going to pop in and draw out my emo time. No!!! This sucks! I’m actually not quite sure what sucks more. Emo fillers, or incredibly inappropriate Lulu fillers. I’m not looking forward to either very much. But at least I’d like some emo fillers because at the current point in time that’s the only way I can get my Amuto.
… *goes back to the emo closet to be lonely and poke stuff with a stick*
RAWR! (I snap out of it so easily) I wouldn’t be so emo-grouchy if Satelight just did their job and gave me fluffy Ikuto in Amu’s room fillers instead of Amu daydreams about Tadase.
You know, breaking out of my funk for a minute, somehow I got this feeling that Amuto and specifically Ikuto fans watching the anime are going to be bitchy this week. Like fangirl PMS or something (oh god, it exists! Boys run for your lives!)…I’d be laughing if I wasn’t fitting my own joke so well. *feeling bitchy for fangirl reasons*
-
Summary
Satelight puts us through fangirl emo Hell!
Seriously. I’m too grumpy to do it this week so I’ll just do thoughts this week (and I’m making it quick).
-
Thoughts
>_< I will try to keep my emo fangirling to a minimum. So the post will be a little shorter than usual.

OH GOD! It’s possible to add even more glow, bubbles, and sparkles to these scenes in a dream. Agh! I can’t believe it.
Though quickly, I don’t mind Amu having dreams because she’s at that age and etc. We forgive her fangirl side because we’re all fangirls, even if we our tastes are different from hers. I’d prefer to be able to call her a fangirl for the couple I’m not supporting anyway. Ohoho~
But yeah, there is one thing I want to comment on and I think even most Tadase fans will agree with me. “Aggressive” is not a word meant to be used with Tadase. Not after 75 episodes where I’ve had various moments of, “lol. Uke.”
You know what’s more aggressive than saying “I love you” every day after you already confessed for the first time (therefore making it easier)? This. This. This. This. And various scenes from before I was blogging (biting a girl’s ear comes to mind…).
*sigh~* Oh well. Fangirling is fangirling. Amu should at least know what her fangirl side likes though.

But it’s all good. Ikuto’s there to snap Amu out of her fangirl fantasies for some real~ time. As much as Amu may complain and go on about Ikuto being in her bed, she hasn’t kicked him out since that night (where he was pissing her off by being…aggressive lol~).

Yoru! Oh Yoru you poor kitty chara! *steals for cuddles time* Hearing Yoru talk and be bullied in this episode made me so sad. He’s just worried about Ikuto. He’s the only one in this episode who knows what’s really going on and as much as he tries, he can’t do anything to stop it. Yoru~

Oooo…a frowny Rima. That’s more like it. She’s playing along with Yaya like a gossiping old lady because she likes teasing Amu.
Oh, and who doesn’t? Oh wait…Tadase apparently doesn’t do that much. Even though everyone else does…Ikuto, Nagihiko, Rima, and Yaya. Kukai and Utau to some extent too.)
I would like to take this opportunity to say that I think aggressive people are generally teasers~ as well. So yeah. I know that line was in the manga, but the anime doesn’t have to make Amu all fangirly about it again when she’s not all flustered and embarrassed, but rather fangirly.

Oh Nagi~ Is it just me? Nagi looks like such a guy, doesn’t he? It’s also the rare, “I know everything” look we haven’t gotten to see much of since Nadeshiko. Except this time it’s totally a guy look. (It is, isn’t it? I mean look at him!)
Nagi~ Use that look on Rima when the opportunity arrives. That might get rid of her suspicions right away~

Oh so now we know what Nagihiko was doing out at night. There’s just an extra night added in there. No big deal.
Plus I like seeing more of Nagi since he was neglected so much in the beginning of Doki. He needs to especially be let in on Guardian plot-related business as much as possible. (Oh I hope his eggs hatch soon. Nagi~)

Ew…it’s both funny and makes me sigh. Oh Amu-chan, Amu-chan. You’re still a long ways from growing up in some ways.
Well at least that’s yet another thing I’m looking forward to in the future of this arc. Amu grows up quite a bit. Oh…I’m feeling so proud even though it hasn’t happened yet in the anime. Just thinking about the manga makes me happy.
lol…But it feels weird talking about how proud I am of Amu growing up when I’m faced with fangirl face.

And so we hit the area where many of us are suddenly going, “Poor Tadase…” rather than the “Poor Amu” of just a few episodes ago. Now Tadase’s the one we’re all feeling bad for, because now he has a confession that hasn’t been answered except for Amu to say, “I’m happy.” Then you watch a scene like this and sure they both have the hearts, but with Amu’s expression, you take her less seriously.
You know what it kind of reminds me of with both of them though? It’s like one of those background couples they showed in the SA manga whenever Hikari needed to get disgusted by something.

Foreshadowing…not for Tadase’s secret past with Ikuto, but for how many times I’m going to want to give this little shouta a bonk on the head. For either being…kind of stupid (Blind might be a better word to use) or for keeping everything to himself.

And because the fangirl in me can’t take having more Tadamu pictures than Amuto, even though I have nothing to say and the scene is nothing special (except Amu worrying about Ikuto a little~) we do a tiny image spam.

Tch. You know what else sucks about Ikuto’s situation? The fact that he doesn’t feel well so he’s grumpy and won’t take advantage of things like Amu worrying about him. It’s not fair!!!
Someone get Tadase back in there for five seconds so Ikuto will make a move. (lol, Every time I think of Tadase being used to further Amuto that song gets stuck in my head)

Since this happened after the big confession night in the manga Amu was all complaining about how he was being so nice the night before. Even so, because of Amu’s past dreams we know what she wants just the same~

Yeah, unlike others I don’t really mind the obvious plot exposition. It kind of ruins the surprise, but it’s not like it wasn’t something anyone couldn’t already guess at. Plus it’s another opportunity for me to go, “GO TO HELL YOU ASSHOLE DIRECTOR!!!” *shoves off of a roof*
Ikuto’s not your puppet or anyone else’s. You’re not doing anything since you don’t have any skills. Other people who work for you did this for you. You can’t do anything without using other people. You’re worthless. WORTHLESS! (Now please kindly move to the edge of the roof so I can shove you off)

Ikuto…
No~ You poor boy. You need sleep. You need sleep, you can’t be controlled. You have to stay in bed with Amu-chan forever!

Agh! What did I just say? TT___TT
*goes back into closet to roll around in fangirl agony*

Shouta bonk/slap/smack # 1.
You’re someone else that should be in bed. Your stupid mom should keep better track of her children. Amu’s asleep, she’s your age, menaing it’s past your bedtime. Go back to bed! You don’t even do anything useful except say a bunch of stuff that’s wrong.

Nuuu! Ikuto!!!!
*in fangirl agony*
His violin shouldn’t be used that way. (Ah…I want to torture the asshole director more than ever before. Let’s all go kill him!)

Well…as bad as Death Rebel is for Ikuto (and as sad as it makes me), I do agree that there’s moments where it looks very cool (like when he transforms the violin into a scythe). Anything that can flow and look cool in the wind is good.
But…but! Ikuto!!!

Slap # 2 for Tadase because I hate irony.
“I won’t let you do as you please” while he’s being controlled. Damn it. I hate clever scripting when it makes me fangirl heart ache so~

Slap # 3 for being stupid.
With that kind of expression, Tadase doesn’t realize anything is wrong? With the way Ikuto absolutely always has to tease Tadase and say something to provoke him? The fact that you are shouting at him to say something doesn’t seem off at all? Huh.
I’ll take this opportunity to say that later on I don’t blame Tadase so much for his stupidity, but since this is a spoiler-free blog for the anime we will slap fictional shouta’s when they need a slap to knock some sense into them. Because I don’t think anyone should be allowed to live in ignorance and hate without reason! Not even, no, especially not princely shouta’s who are nice to everyone else. (Tadase you’re a jerk with no common sense right now.)
But now we take a break for some Amuto goodness~

Oh Amu…going to try to complain again? We all don’t take you seriously anymore since you never do anything about it you cute girl.
Plus after what happens next even those who do believe you don’t want Ikuto in your bed (after that dream from episode 67, is there anyone left?) won’t be able to deny it any longer (unless they’re delusional).
*poke*
*watch the cute sleepy face change*
*smile*
D’aww…this is such a couple moment that I’m just a basket full of goofy smiles right now. Too bad she didn’t keep poking him like in the manga. That was cute.
And now Amu perfectly matches the description of a real pervert from episode 65. Smiling while you watch someone when they’re asleep. Amu’s a perv now~

No! Not a cut! Awww…Ikuto…
(Wait, this means he needs a shower right? Cut = shower, right?)

D’aww. Amu’s moe sides really are only brought out around Ikuto. (At least anything that’s moe to me). Wide-eyed innocent worrying. Awww.

Oh looks who’s being all serious and emo so I’m supposed to give him my sympathy. But I won’t today. Because he’s being stupid and he lacks common sense. *stubborn*

WRONG!!!
Well okay, it’s technically right, but it’s still not. Because Ikuto’s not doing it of his own will. So still…WRONG!!!

*blank face*
Well…I suppose since I just think Tadase deserves some light slaps to knock some sense into him this a little harsh (then again even this doesn’t knock any sense into him. Though I suppose since it’s Ikuto it’s only to be expected
). Thinking about it happening makes me cringe. We’re really at the arc all mahou shoujo hit where things stop being healed with pretty lights (as much) and fights get down to serious business.

lol. Fangirl bias is amazing. I feel worse for Ikuto and his small cut than I do for Tadase. (At least it’s healthy that I recognize it…right?)
Oh and kind of mood-destroying and off-topic but, Kitty skull! Awww

No! Ikuto come back! That’s not my lovable Ikuto at all. Come back! Amu! You! Hurry up and bring Ikuto back! Nao!
Oh yeah and another little slap for Tadase for not realizing anything is wrong after this. *slap* You’re being stupid. Knock it off. I don’t like it. A real leader would try to see things objectively.

I know it’s just subtitles and this may not be the exact translation exactly but…thank you Rima, I love you.
See Tadase? The guardians without grudges point the blame at Easter and not Ikuto specifically. Even Rima who wasn’t around that time Ikuto told you guys where to find Amu. Silly shouta prince.
*is still grumpy* I’m not one to hold a grudge again after I already let it go, but come on! It’s frustrating since if Tadase wasn’t being stupid Ikuto would be saved sooner. Stupid Tadase. If he said there was something wrong with him it could be fixed easier since he’s at Amu’s house and it’s easy to find him. *grumpy*

YEAH! Amu-chan! It’s about time someone pointed it out to Tadase. Leaders shouldn’t be keeping secrets either. Don’t make people feel bad and worry unnecessarily just because you don’t feel like talking about something.
*sigh* Kids. That’s the most frustrating thing about watching them in anime. You get frustrated because they haven’t learned some very obvious life lessons yet. That’s why you can’t hold a grudge against them…after they learn their lesson anyway. *stubborn*

lol. This was one of those moments where Amu’s daydreams and such are hilarious. OOC Tadase makes me laugh so much.
Now, normally I’d comment on how OOC Tadase means Amu doesn’t know him well enough (oh wait I did, but pretend I didn’t), but I’ll just leave it as it’s funny for today.
…Though really, Amu should know better. It’s going to be more hurtful the longer that she keeps it a secret since Tadase is obviously going to find out.

Ahahah~ And now to break up the drama and emo, Amu has a request I think we all would like to see filled as well.

So Nagi, you be a good boy and don’t force Amu to turn on the sparkles. Just go with her wishes right away.

YEAH! Ponytail = Nadeshiko!!!
Also Nagi’s expression is classic. Even as the boy who dresses up as a girl (and forces other boys to do the same lol) he’s a little surprised by Amu forcing him into Nadeshiko mode (without even knowing he’s Nadeshiko!).

Yay! After all of Amu’s fangirly moments earlier on I’m glad that I found common ground with Amu yet again. (We all miss Nadeshiko so much that we’d go sparkly eyes when we get to see her again)

lol. This is great out of context.

Nadeshiko!
(Though I have to say quickly, it’s really gotten to the point where even girl mode Nadehiko makes me still think: …trap)
NADESHIKO!!!
Amu’s on the same page again. (I would also like to take this opportunity to once again say how much I love Kanae Ito and how wonderfully she voices Amu. That is all.)

*triple slap*
I don’t just take out my frustrations on shouta’s since these three are more to blame than anyone. You three are being selfish even if you say it’s for Ikuto and Yoru too. It’s just mean! Agh… *frustrated* I hate it when bad things have to happen so a story can continue. I hate it almost as much as ironic things like: “I won’t let you do as you please!” (AGH! WTF!?)

lol. More irony. But I don’t hate this as much because it’s not quite as cruel. It’s actually kind of nice, since now Nagihiko doesn’t have to think Amu won’t be able to understand at all. There’s some common ground here when Amu should be able to see things and understand.

At least after what Nagihiko said, Amu should be able to understand his situation when it’s finally revealed to her (at this point in the manga I think it will happen when we don’t see it or something). Amu’s a smart girl, she’d think back to this and believe that Nagihiko wasn’t keeping secrets from her to hurt her, but rather because her treasured their friendship.
Aww…I really want Nagi to stop having to worry about so many things. Hopefully Amu will get to find out and put all of Nagi’s fears to rest soon.

Did you happen to pick up a Hallmark card while you were buying the flowers Tadase?
*sigh* Once again I feel the small need to explain why I don’t particularly care for Tadase myself. Most…or maybe it’s just some and I’m remembering the “bad” stuff more than the good. Anyway, some of his character development is just so corny when he makes a speech like this that it feels insincere.
My reaction reminds me of what some people say about a poorly written Visual Novel. They shove sad scenes in your face and basically demand, “CRY!” which isn’t going to make anyone feel anything real.
So with Tadase it feels like he says nice things and I’m automatically supposed to have the same reaction as Amu. Though if someone in the real world said that to me, even in that sort of context (talking about his grandmother and stuff), I’d be like, “Are you serious?” And I’d think they’re just playing around.
I mean…yeah I guess flowers are strong, but talking about it in that way feels so unnatural to me. And talking about “their efforts” is like Fairytale Disney crap. It’s like a nice sentiment wrapped in a rainbow. It’s too much. (And yeah, I’ll leave it here to avoid more Tadase fangirl rage aimed in my direction)

So Amu decides to do the right thing and tell Tadase about Ikuto to avoid trouble down the road. (I’m not exactly sure what Tadase was saying that prompted it. I’ll assume it’s just because she was thinking about what Nagihiko was saying, then after she saw Tadase being a good person she decided she didn’t want to hurt him.)

But when Tadase has that sort of reaction so easily after Ikuto is mentioned, it’s clear he’s still a little ways off from being a flower.
…Okay, see!? See what I’m talking about. It’s a weird comparison to make and it doesn’t make it any easier for me to lay off of the “Tadase is a little girly” comments. Agh! I know that saying just that is rude and it’s not a reason to dislike him, but come on! Someone reasonable please tell me that it’s reasonable to say that Tadase isn’t exactly the manliest character around…even when you consider his age.

I don’t know why, but I always liked this line. I think it took a bit of courage for Amu to say that to Tadase considering the relationship the two of them have. It’s kind of like she’s continuing what she was saying back with the guardians. “Why are you always like that about Ikuto? I don’t think he’s a bad person.”
Amu’s so good for everyone. Getting them to see the problems they have in life. She’s trying her best here too (even if she’s not fully realizing it, I think she just wants the situation between the two of them to end, but she’s not sure how to go about it since she doesn’t understand).
*sigh* I just wish that it didn’t take something bigger to make Tadase stop being so stubborn on the matter. Surely he can’t think Amu’s that naive that she doesn’t recognize when someone’s bad. She’s been right about helping everyone else (Nikaidou, Utau, etc~). He should trust her opinion a little more by now. Stubborn shouta.

*another small slap* That slap is actually based more on my dislike for what he said because of what we learn later in the manga. Even after all of the things he was saying just a minute ago, he goes ahead and says this.
But bah…I’ll save it for another day.

*yet another small slap for Tadase* Look! You made Amu all worried and scared. Instead of making things easier for her to understand you just made her more confused.
And now a big slap for Satelight *SLAP!* because they ended the episode on this horrible cliffhanger. I hate you guys.
*sigh* At least next week will make me feel better (Until the even worse cliffhanger ARGH!).

Preview

Yay~ Another one of my favorite chapters getting animated. Hopefully even with “first date” in the title it doesn’t get too off-topic with Amu’s fangirling before we get to the good scenes. Like this one…(I will just take the opportunity to say that I love Amu’s mom)

And um…this…
… Ehehehe~ (Glad to see the last thing we could worry about being cut out isn’t)

Oh and this that I don’t recognize (looks like all the filler won’t be used on overdoing Amu’s fangirling).

*sigh* But then we’ll end with this. Oh…goodness. More T_T for the next 10 or so weeks I imagine.

ah! :D Your the first person I’ve seen who included the shower part of the preview (well, other than Midori having them sitting at the kitchen table). I think it really is the only thing we had to worry about getting cut out (well, maybe other than Amu’s exclamation of “you’re all inside me?, but that may just sound bad translated. :3 )

Wah! Fangirling mode on full powah right now! and also emo mode for Ikuto. IKUTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please don’t die. Amu, girl, get over your Tadase fangirling, and look at Ikuto for once. Somethings obviously wrong with him, and you should fix it!
March 29th, 2009
LOL you are the first person to do that. lol emo. yes tadase deserves to be smacked/punched/whatever kind of pain he can get. yaaay next week shall be dramatic. i wonder what they’ll do with lulu, though i kinda hope she falls off a cliff or something with asshole bastard kazuomi. XD
March 29th, 2009
Aww. *pats you on the back* There, there. Just two or three more episodes and we can get a little more relief (Amu crying for Ikuto and Ikuto alone). T_T
Emo fillers…we have like 4 more months left if they are seriously going to take it to 100 something episodes. *sigh* And the manga needs more time to finish. *bangs head repeatedly on the desk* (I refuse to acknowledge that Lulu exists but at least she didn’t show up this episode and LET IT STAY THAT WAY! Dx)
Heh. I was already in fangirl PMS since last week! D8<
*cough*
But anyways…
Eww… “aggressive” = “Usui” from Kaichou wa Maid-sama. We do not want to even think of Tadase as anyone who’s “aggressive”. WE NEED TO KEEP THE SHOUTA BOY AS UKE, DAMMIT, OTHERWISE THE WORLD WILL COME TO AN END! -_-;
Now Ikuto is aggressive~. That’s more like it. Ahaha~ xD
He needs to be more aggressive after this, though…cuz he can’t let anyone steal Amu away, RIGHT?! xDDYoruuuuuuuu~~~~~~~ TT______________________TT
Aha, has “aggressive” become our favorite word of the week? xDD;;
I completely agree on your logic there, though. Aggressive people are teasers. Of course~! What better way to show your affections than teasing? And therefore, aggressive people PWN! WAHAHA!
Lol If Nagi ever uses that look on Rima, she’d make her blush…which I so want to see. He’s gonna act all sly and Rima being Rima will have no clue (like the time he pulled her into that ditch, KYAA *breaks into fangirl giggles) and get frustrated andand…need another Rimahiko filler, plz. xD;
And yeshyesh, more Nagi action plz. \(
You must have your back turned to her fangirling as you’re saying that. |D;
…I got totally distracted by your SA comment that I completely forgot about Amu’s shallow fangirling. Now I want to go back and read it since it allowed me to do so. Lawl~
Hmm, bangs hiding the eyes also seem to go hand-in-hand with foreshadowing now that I think about it. -.-;
Your little image spam needs to be BIGGER! But I forgive you cuz it’s still Amuto. <3
Che, and Ikuto is too woozy in the head to realize that his best medicine his snuggling with Amu which makes it even worst. GAH. D|
And aww, Amu misses Ikuto being sweet to her…AWWWW~!!!! *more fangirl spazz* xDDDDD
Che, I’m still waiting for Gozen to throw that “I hate useless people” in front of the bastard director’s face but Satelight totally cut that out and did the usual “I have high expectations” of you instead. Satelight, you suck. Make Gozen the evil-sounding enigma like he is in the manga. Not some cut and paste here screencap. -_-;
But yes, let’s all go kill him to at least give ourselves some relief from our agony for Ikuto (your screencaps make me cry, your screencaps make me cry, your screencaps make me CRY! ;_______; )
*same here on the Tadase bitchyness factor*…*and slaps him, too*
But anyways…Amuto goodness~ <33
Haha, I can’t wait for the day when she’ll say “Ugh, I got smushed up against the wall again” or “He’s always hogging most of the blanket” instead of “I told him not to sleep in bed!” xDDD That will be the day. That will be the day. <333
And Amu has always been a (secret closet) perv~! xDD;;
(omg, if you didn’t think that, I’d seriously wonder what happened to the Amuto fangirl in you, |D; )
I want to see more of Amu’s moe sides! *stompstompstomp!* |3
*sigh* Well, boys fight rough…so they get hurt rough. Srs bznz is not play time. -_-;
And Tadase should have been wearing something much durable than frilly prince clothing if he was going into a fight anyways (especially against a brainwashed Ikuto) but it can’t be helped since one Chara-nari doesn’t really come with costume upgrade…
But still…Ikuto getting a cut makes me ;________________; (Quit ruining my mood! Though kitty skull FTW! xD; )
*more crying for Ikuto* ;_________________; I WANT THE HUG NAO!!! Dx
*sigh* Well, I suppose if Tadase wasn’t being stupid about his grudge against Ikuto (and therefore, has to blame EVERYTHING on Ikuto), it wouldn’t have made for interesting plot…actually, no, that’s not true. It still would have been interesting and we wouldn’t have to be as mad at Tadase as we are now. So no excuse! Tadase letting his stupid PMS-ing blinding him and making us dislike him for being a brat is not needed! Tadase able to be smart while still being mad is ok. The former, blergh.
Phah…even when he says “I hate you!” it’s all full of sparklies. Wow, Amu. Not only can we not take her seriously, but her opposite fantasies detract from Tadamu, too. Her not realizing that Tadase would not act that way means she really doesn’t know him that well, either. *ish very happy about that* |D
Nadeshiko~! *kirakira~* *0*
And I’d much prefer bizarre fangirl than her sparkly/flowery prince fantasy fangirl. -_-;
…plus Amu’s adorable weirdness towards her friends is what makes her friends love her so much anyways~ (we all love the weirdness in our friends, right?) Ahaha~ xD
Ooo, nicely put there. Amu kept Ikuto a secret because she didn’t want to hurt Tadase, which he will come to understand, just like how Nagi kept his secret from her because he didn’t want to see Amu shocked or to be upset.
…hmm. I want Nagi’s little problem to be resolved soon, too. Can we get that in the next chapter? Or better yet, the one coming up in a week?!
Eh, this is shoujo. Where the shouta princes are made even extra cornier. *shrug*
It is…feel better? |3
Amuuu~
Really, Tadase lets his own bias get too much to his head that he can’t even clear his clogged up ears to hear Amu, the girl he likes, out. I mean, that’s almost like you’re disrespecting her when you like her! Or at least, you’re not considering her thoughts which is what you want to try to avoid doing in a romantic relationship. And even if you do end up doing it, you have to realize what you did wrong, apologize and try to fix it. But does he do that? Nooo. -_-;
*sigh* Cliffhangers…well, the “interrupted first date!” or whatever it’s called title makes me feel better at least cuz it’s interrupted, aha~…ok, but that just means it’s angst and drama which I don’t want. *goes back to being emo* T_T
Hmm, but yea, I can’t wait for the other parts, though (and family flashback~! Even if it’s bittersweet, more Tsukiyomi family scenes are love~ <3)
Yep…let’s just try our best to sit through all the extreme T_____T for the awesome epic chapter 38-animated episode.
Thanks for the review! ^^

Ugh, I thought I was the only one who got mega-depressed during this episode.
I also swore at the director multiple times. Haha, how sad is that? Yelling at computers because of something other than a website breaking and you can’t find the missed bracket.
Ikuto! ;_;
Ugh, the Tadamu scenes were like “lolwut.” Too many sparkles to take it seriously. :c
Ikuto’s scythe is so freaking badass though, and it looks so much hotter when you can actually see it in action.
And, as bad as this sounds, I’m glad to see the x-eggs again. No more retarded ?-eggs, please.
March 29th, 2009
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Ikuto!!!! Stupid Easter fucktards! I hate you! Anyway, aww! Amu poking Ikuto and then smiling was the best part of this episode. No wait! Nadeshiko was the best part! Stupid Tadase! Stupid stupid stupid stupid! I mean, I can kind of understand him a little bit, since he doesn’t fully understand what all had happened, but still only a complete idiot wouldn’t be able to tell that Ikuto wasn’t being his usual self. Idiot=Tadase. Next week…hehe…showers…and Ikuto…hehe…yea I like that…
March 29th, 2009
Oh my…Tadase REALLY got on my nerves this time, and it reminded me one of the reasons why I hate hm so much…He tries to force his stupid ideas on others, like how to get The Embryo. And also because he hates Ikuto, which makes me semi-pathetically rebellious and like Ikuto more. And did I mention he’s just too good? So yeah, *slap, slap, SLAP the shytt out of Tadase, since it’s what he deserves.*
Ikuto…*emo-ness* Nuu!! He is not to be controlled!! Can we throw that asshole director off a cliff nao?? And the Death Rebel egg? By the way, does anyone know WHY it’s called Death Rebel? Maybe I missed that in the manga, or it’s just not clear to my small brain, hehe.
Just want to comment on how much the Death Rebel costume looks like it was made by the director, with the ugly tie and stuff, but I don’t get the thing around his neck. Awesome scythe, though. Sad the violin is evil, too.
Aww…one good thing about the episode was “Nadeshiko”…And Nagi, maybe with this secret stuff you too are talking about makes you realize that you have to stop making the rest of the Guardians believe that you’re a twin…especially Rima, since she doesn’t fall for it! And also because it’s never good to hide things from your most-loved ones..
Amu’s Charas– Yoru and Ikuto are NOT causing trouble for Amu!! How dare you say something like that!! You need to be HELPING them, especially you, Su!
Amu, it’s nice to see you care about Ikuto enough right now to stand up to Tadase and tell him that he has a misguided viewpoint of people, ans the Tsukiyomi family in general.
Ahh, I love, love, LOVE the shower scene for next week, I can’t wait to see it animated, heh heh heh.
Aww, isn’t that a picture of Souko, Aruto, and the siblings as young children? I can’t wait to see that. Anything with Aruko is wonderful, and I hope they both get a happy ending.
It’s wierd seeing Ikuto in any other color besides black/navy, isn’t it? Have we ever seen him like that in the anime before?

i wish Tadase would get a clue and realize something was wrong with Ikuto. but he is too busy being self righteous to care about someone else.

Oh, I miss Nadeshiko so much. ;~;
I kind of wish she could just come back from Europe, and Nagihiko could just be her twin brother. And the ’shiko siblings would be my most favorite siblings in all of manga. Because I love Nagihiko. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t decide whether I love Nagihiko or Tadase more.
Yes, Tadase is uke. He’s the uke of all ukes. He’s so uke that he looks to flowers for strength. And when you made that Hallmark joke, I couldn’t stop laughing. Because i thought his flower speach was over the top and corny. But I love Tadase and his epic shota prince-ness. And I guess that’s why I don’t like Tadamu anymore. I want Tadase to be his uke self, and he can’t be that if he’s with Amu.
But I really don’t like the anime version of Tadase. Satelight makes him annoying compared to manga Tadase.
And this is pretty out of the blue, but I want Yaya and Utau to be bffs. They have so much in common: their pigtails, their love of Kukai, their… well, that’s about it. But they made an awesome team in the manga.
I was convinced satelight would take out the shower scene. But then.. we have Tadase’s little heart breaking. And all the amuto fangirls are going to be like “HA! Serves him right! That was sucha girly reaction!”
and I am going to cry in the corner..March 30th, 2009
Is it me… or does Ikuto not know how to play the violin? 8D; (He’s not holding it right, right…?)
March 30th, 2009
It could’ve been better. This chapter was much better in the manga.

Omigosh Ikuto looks freaking-awesomely-hot-and-cool when in evil violin-turned-scythe wielding mode!!! And Tadase is really stupid XD lol (and that’s coming from me~ rawr.) How could he make our Anime’s Next Top Model look so worried and confused?

This was a cool episode. The violin turning into the Scythe was especially well animated, but yeah the episode was very emo-ish.
Next weeks episode will be so cool. You included the picture of the shower scene too XD so happy. I was really glad it didn’t get cut out because of maturity or whatever.

OMG This episode was depressing! And Nagi was just… LOL! Love Nagi!
but about your comment on Tadase being not very manly (which I agree with) I swear he sits with his legs together! Which is, like, feminine.
Cause girls are meant to sit with legs together and boys with legs apart (WEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRD
) but yeh……..
Can’t wait till next week!
And Ikuto’s Death Rebel outfit is cool!

this was a cool episode but a really said one
i noticed something when u showed us ur 4 screencaps in the beginning of ur post when u were like “This. This. This. This.” have u noticed that one strand of Amu’s hair is sticking up like Tadase in the 4th screencap??
it’s probably nothing but Amu’s hair is never like that (unless she has just woken up). but Amu’s hair is always neat and stuff…
this was an emo episode for me
IKUTO~!!!!!
but the violin turning into a scythe was coolio
man, i love ur blog
can’t wait for the next episode and ur blog!!
because i know u’ll put many screencaps for the shower scene
March 30th, 2009
Browsing through screencaps, because I mentioned before that the episodes weren’t really capturing my attention. =3=
I found it stupid to have Tadase put in a backgorund of…flowers out of all things? How are they going to ever get fans to like him if Satelight keep potraying him like that…ugh.
Amu was so classic at that Nadeshiko part. XD

As a Tadase fan… I don’t see your point u_u
For starters… bieng agressive is NOT the same as a teaser u_u
AND
Actually the word was assetive
I wanted to comment more but seeing you’re not asnwering to your comments I’m not overdoing myself u_u

erizibang: Here. I answered. I usually do when people want to bring up a debate, so feel free to go on if you want.
First of all…screencap. The subs did say aggressive. And even if they didn’t it was seme that they translated as aggressive which is like, the opposite of uke. So my opinion on that stands.
Second, I didn’t say that being aggressive was the same as being a teaser. Quote:
I italicized some stuff you might have missed. And it’s not like it comes out of nowehere “aggressive” guys in shoujo manga often tease girls. It’s…pretty common. Not always, which is why I said “generally” but…yeah.
I just wanted to let you know so you don’t have to disagree with general statements that can’t be disproven or disagree with things (like aggressive rather than assertive) that can be proven.

I’m back! Under another name, but I’m back to ‘Shugo Chara! Doki’!!!
Well, what I love about SC now is the AMUTO scenes!!! AMUTO for life!
AAAAAH! Amu is soooooooooo lucky! I want an Ikuto in my bed everyday too!… I have so many strange things happening to me but not Ikuto in my bed!!! Why???
Tadase is another thing, too!!! But how can you call him ‘aggressive’??? Tadase??? WTF, HIM OF ALL PEOPLE??? Have you lost it, Amu? Ikuto is soooooooooo much more aggressive than him (and so much better, for me at least!)
I WANT IKUTO IN MY ROOM NOW!!!
I have nothing else to say for now. Amuto4ever (even if Amu doesn’t agree with me! See ya!

that’s why I was soo late in answering… I was in a really bad mood…
the manga (which I think is more accurate than anime) was translated as “assertive” (sorry for the prev typo) … which can be used as a seme’s characteristic … I consider this small things important when dealing with people’s personalities
You said: “there is one thing I want to comment on and I think even most Tadase fans will agree with me. “Aggressive” is not a word meant to be used with Tadase”
My problem (and that’s why I’m not most of those fans) is that that’s not even the right word… and besides, P-Pit introduced us his chara change for not to think of him much as an uke (and the keyword is “much” xD) … I have my reasons for liking him and I don’t like when he’s misunderstood
erizibang’s last post…Don’t screw my plot >o< kora~

Eh. I don’t think I misunderstood him since you’re not saying that he’s not uke at all and I didn’t call him a total uke.
I’d actually say aggressive is closer to seme than assertive though. Since the translation is so often equaled with something like attack. The official subs get things wonky a lot, but I think this time they used a pretty good word as a translation.
But making arguments over assertive vs. aggressive really doesn’t work anyway. Since translation is an imperfect art and everyone is going to have a different interpretation. There’s no exact “this word = this” to go by. The difference between aggressive and assertive isn’t even that much in English except “assertive” is a little less…threatening? I guess.
Also, when I was writing my post, what I thought was most odd was that seme was something about Tadase that would make Amu all excited. Since she usually likes his nice, princely qualities. It feels like the context behind my thoughts is important here too. Which is what led me to, “I don’t think Tadase fans look to Tadase for aggressive-ness” since Amu’s a “fan” of Tadase too. And it just felt weird (since that little dream wasn’t in the manga and the only time that line came in was when Amu was all flustered and shocked).
April 5th, 2009
Haha..Rebel Death is the bomb and poor Tadase getting slapped by getting alot of slaps. He just didn’t know what happened because Ikuto was being too stupid for not telling him the truth >_> I hope those two reunite and later decides to leave Amu all alone to Kairi.
April 7th, 2009
funny how we started a translation argument xD my intention when writing that wasn’t that superficial… and I think it’s also my fault for not mentioning it earlier but at this point I think it’s worth to try (and in this episode post as it’s more accurate)…
when I say misunderstood, I mean his whole intentions, apart from Amu and his decision to act more knightly… which hey! a prince can also be a gentleman and a knight…not only kira kira >.> Tadase’s “agressiveness” also comes to surface when he’s trying to be a good King-chair (fails at pointing his position x_x) and a leader and stuff… ok back to what I was saying… his intentions towards Ikuto… you just can’t say: “you stupid! you can’t blame Ikuto… cuz there a well known reason”… remember that at this point he knows nothing… he was still a child when Ikuto left him and a 9-10? year old when Ikuto came and did some weird things… Tadase was inteligent enough to believe that he didn’t kill Betty nor had to do anything with his granny… what he actually didn’t like was the fact that he didn’t give him any answers about his actions… I mean, why wouldn’t you be mad at someone who acts by himself without trusting ou enough to tell you what’s going on? I’ve seen it in other series/movies and it’t totaly reasonable… I even started liking Ikuto when I learned the whole thing… young kids can’t understand things that deep… of course Ikuto’d be more mature…
and also, I think that, as we really didn’t had a match in manga (all we had a well positioned cliffy), I’ll blame Satelight for your 3 slaps at Tadase… come on!! at this point we know how horrible job Satelight is doing with character development!! (Kairi epsode? I remember mentioning that, at that point, he at least should have advanced in showing the audience that he liked Amu and not just confessing out of the blue =___=)… so don’t take that personally when Tadase says something that he really didnd’t say…. >.>
