Finally~ One of my favorite chapters has been fully animated. *is so very happy~* Basically I was in full fangirl mode for the entire episode until we got to the end and I felt a little bit like smacking someone at Satelight, but I still retained my happiness. It’s all good~
Anyway, this episode and the next four are going to be safe to watch for those who just want episodes from the manga. Hehehe~
Oh yeah, also…I ended up with over 70 screencaps this time. Um…yeah. So be aware of that.
Ah…now that I’ve finally got this episode I feel both satisfied and a little empty now. What am I going to insanely look forward to now~? I mean, there’s still good scenes, but the next thing to make me fangirl this much is going to be chapter 38. Nuuuu~!

Confessions happen, fangirling happens. Let me fill this in later, ‘kay? So I can get to this good stuff now.
I promise this time I actually will fill it in. Though what I really want to say is…AGH! Just watch the episode! There’s literally something for everyone! Except for fans who still thought that anyone but Ikuto or Tadase had a chance with Amu. Because the end of the episode shows a very clear shot which dismisses all of that so…tough shit guys.
So I’ll fill the summary in tomorrow (or er…since it’s past midnight, later today).

This might be why I’m not fond of nice princely characters…they completely ignore common sense when they’re being so nice. And not in the cool “Ignore common sense to make the impossible, possible!” way.
Also I end up choking with the amount of cheese and corniness some of them can dish out…but now I’m getting off-topic.

I loved this scene in the manga. Ikuto reading Amu’s shoujo manga~ I don’t know what to be more surprised at, Ikuto reading it…or Amu having it? (She really is a girly-girl sometimes after all~)

Tadase carries around a white glow with him that he can bust out whenever he wants to appear especially bright without the addition of bishie sparkles. Because now all you can see is Tadase! There is no background whatsoever to distract you from your princely shouta! Heck, even the edges of Tadase himself aren’t that visible.
Behold! This is the power of super shouta-bishie.
Uh. Never mind. Tadase doesn’t need his white glow to be super shouta bishie when he can bust out that pout. (OMG! What would happen if he did both!? It would be too much shouta bishie for anyone to handle! *mind exploded*)
…You can’t even really capture Amu throwing Ikuto it happens that fast. When did Amu get so strong? She throws Ikuto around in this episode as if he really is a cat. Or rather a stuffed cat because I don’t think anyone throws their real cats around like that. 
lol. Poor Ikuto. It’s okay, just make her pay for it later (in cuddles and hugs~).

I was going to try and be so open-minded and maybe even call the scenes cute if they struck me in that way. Then this happened. And while still funny (and still making me feel ever more confident in Amuto OTP status), I just…couldn’t look at anything the same way after.
If only for the sake of Amu being preserved as our adorable Cool & Spicy girl, Tadamu cannot be the ending pair. No…for the sake of all those who love Amu as who she is and do not want to see her in fangirl mode any more than necessary (lol, though is it ever necessary?).
Nuuu! Ikuto’s hearing extra unnecessary things! Ikuto hearing confessions is good because it gets him to stop waiting around. But he doesn’t have to hear about Amu’s chocolates for Tadase. They got to Ikuto for a reason after all! They were hand-delivered by FATE! Or the magic of love~ Whichever is fine.

…WTF!? Why did Ikuto get kicked out of bed in their little fight in bed! It was supposed to end like this, but they already did that, why?
Heh. I guess it’s because they don’t want to bring up ages. That would be the most logical explanation. Even when there’s an age difference in shoujo manga, they usually like to keep it somewhat vague so that to figure it out you’d have to actually do the math, but Shugo Chara stated it straight out.
I still think that it’s unnecessary even if you assume that they absolutely had to cut that part out. Ikuto still could have stayed in bed and there could have been more cuddling. I’m going to assume they cut it out so that Tadase’s barely-hand-holding with Amu would be completely overshadowed by two cuddling hugs from Ikuto.
…In which case, we’re the 70% majority here guys. Stop displeasing us.
lol. Random topic change. Amu asking about Ikuto at this random moment makes me decide that she feels bad about kicking him out of bed and want to make peace so he’ll sneak back in, right?
I really don’t have a lot to say on this matter though, because I get the feeling I may have discussed it bit by bit without really spoiling it, but by making vague references to it. About how Amu and Ikuto actually talk about real things.About each other, sharing and learning about each other. And how Amu specifically wants to know more about Ikuto and how Ikuto, even though he doesn’t want to tell her anything (and usually doesn’t) still tells her more about himself than he tells anyone else.
Um…basically it all just comes together as a big pile of “aww”-ness.
*sigh* It’s not cuddling, but it’s still darn cute. Especially with Amu looking at Ikuto like that. She always seems like she’s maturing to me~ There’s a phrase about girls growing up when they’re in love isn’t there? Which only makes me want to go, “aww” even more.
Oh and…wasn’t this also the first time Ikuto really talked about Easter with Amu? I find that to be an important development too. Since it’s clear Ikuto isn’t planning on going back now. It also means that Ikuto’s fine with letting Amu be on his side and…awww! (Ah…every time I start making a point I get overloaded and have to stop)
Liar~ And Amu sees right through you~ She drops it, because that’s what Ikuto obviously wanted, but she knows there’s more to it. Especially in the anime where Amu finds out that Ikuto’s violin is missing. If he didn’t care about it or his father he wouldn’t have even bothered to find it.
Also, it’s fun to notice how Ikuto purposely wanted to drop it after she brought up the Dumpty Key. That’s Amu getting things that he doesn’t want her to…I think. We’re pretty clear on the Dumpty Key now in the manga, but since we still need to know more about Ikuto’s father that mysetery is left open. (*sigh* I’d really like for Ikuto’s father to show up soon… )
Oh there it is. I love a little subtle part of this scene where you can tell Ikuto’s bothered by Amu saying that a little (though you can’t see his face). She saw right through him~ He is always treating Amu like a kid, but he gets pretty childish around her. I wonder if Ikuto didn’t notice or if he just didn’t want Amu to notice (lol, because guys always like to be cool, right?). Maybe it’s a little bit of both.
But still…awww…(would have been even better if it was followed by cuddling)
Ahahaha~ This is another one of those moments where Amu’s reaction really makes you wonder, “What did you think was going to happen?” Amu~
And now we hit the best part of the episode. All fangirls get a dish ready so you at least melt into a container rather than just a puddle. A lot of words aren’t required so everyone please just “kyaa~” “*squee*” and even silently fangirl with me (for when there is no fangirl reaction that can cover it)

I guess I have to assume that’s Amu’s dense heroine side, but I won’t. Instead I’ll assume that Amu not taking Ikuto seriously in any of this stuff is because she absolutely doesn’t think that Ikuto could like her because it would make her too happy.

It’s a good thing she’s here because next week we won’t have a lot of Amuto. Without Utau there to distract me I’d be going through withdrawals. Though we do get to learn a lot about Ikuto, so that kind of makes up for it. After next week Utau will become an unofficial member of team Amuto, right?

You know what? Ikuto has been gone since before Valentine’s Day right? So he hasn’t bathed in over a month. Ewww. But anyways, OMG this episode was awesome!!! Amu scared me in this episode though especially the face she made right before she went to her room to stuff Ikuto in her closet. Ikuto made so many sad faces! I don’t know why, but I love serious Ikuto. I just wish that Amu would realize that Ikuto was actually being serious. I wondered what he was going to do that he decided not to do too! Maybe he was going to kiss her! I think Amu would beliave that confession then! wtf at the end, Tadase’s chocolate was sparkly. This episode was really shiny.

Ah! I love your posts! I haven’t had time to post anything though (because I knew I’d write really, really long ones…and whenever I thought about it I got tired…so I never did it
::is lazy:: D|)Anyway, fangirl moment: KYAAAAAA!!!!!
I’m going to keep things very sweet and simple in this post, since this episode just equals fangirling, though I may end up going all of the place with my comments since my mind turned to liquid. So, I’m 99.99999% certain that their is a nice, lovely heartbeat in the background when Amu looks at Ikuto after he says he’s just a boy who cries wolf. Ya know, right during that wonderful screenshot you have of Amu’s eye, with that could-have-missed-it-if-fangirls-didn’t-have-super-vision reflection of Ikuto in it.
On to other, non-fangirl related things. Nagihiko’s random appearance first made me go:

And after it was all over, about a second after, my face just went like this: 
It was a nice, fun (though weird and kinda awkward) moment.
Oh, and me (being the overly kind hearted person I am…kind hearted to a fault…
) I found the Tadase confession to be sorta cute… 
But it didn’t get my heart racing like Amuto always does! X3
Finally, this episode gave me two ideas for Amuto one-shots. (And a comment on your comment about Amu and Ikuto having a super cute and happy family…they better! >,< If not, I will just continue writing my fanfics that do have Ikuto and Amu with a cute and happy family (two girls and one boy! ^-^))

I just want to say that even if I don’t comment all the time (or most of the time…or nearly never) I read all of your Shugo Chara posts and I appreciate them so much! You usually spot the same things that I do, though a lot of the times you spot things that I never did (and look for things that I never do), and you give good insight, which I always appreciate.

It wasn’t quite as well done as the manga, but I think it turned out much better than it could have. For me, having both the Tadamu and Amuto confessions together in one episode just underlines how shallow Tadamu can feel – Amu practically summed it up for us with her comment about how she feels admiration for Tadase.
Whee, I’m excited for the Kutau in the next chapter. You’ve totally turned me onto that… I think I just automatically accept your pairings now.
Ah. I can’t wait until chapter 38 gets here. No more fillers, please!

Kyaa!!~ The episode we have all been waiting for is finally here! I seriously started giggling and screaming even before the episode aired. Hehe…So the next four episode are basically from the manga? I saw one of the titles about a first date broken, but that doesn’t sound familiar. 70 screencaps, wow, nice. ^^
It was so cute when Amu woke up and noticed Ikuto, but didn’t go crazy. She’s already getting used to it! xD Amu has become considerably strong now, huh? Haha, giving a banana to a cat, bananas are for monkeys! Poor Amu getting teased about her figure again.~ (Did he say…jiggly?)
Poor Kiseki, having to eat all of those chocolates because his owner just has to because he’s too nice. Seriously, he should just eat the ones he wants. He has boxes full of chocolates! Nagi with a white flower in the middle of the field, utterly random, but still cool. I’m with you! It better be for Rima-sama!

Tadase is a shouta! He destroys backgrounds! Amu is scary! Throwing Ikuto…so strong! You want Ikuto to consider you feminine…right?! Yoru’s such an awesome character, even if he was being a bit dramatic with Ikuto. XD But it’s a good thing, because if he didn’t worry so much about Ikuto, we wouldn’t have him back in her

The Amu-fangirl moments completely ruined the confession for me. I couldn’t take it seriously at all, really. The only thing that was great about the confession is that it made Ikuto all jealous (and I do love watching Ikuto getting jealous when someone else is all over Amu >w> ). The following part was hilarious, too. I love how he’s like Amu with his jealousy, just in a less obvious way.
Eeep! That’s right Ikuto, get right to the point! Though I’m pretty sure he knew Amu wouldn’t believe him. That’s probably why he said it. =/ But the look…THE look…and Amu’s reaction…*squee* *is a fangirl puddle*

This episode reminds me of a shugo chara! forum I recently found. Of course, there was an Amuto vs. Tadamu thread. And one of the arguments was “Amu’s hair is pink, and her eyes are yellow. Tadase’s hair is yellow, and his eyes are pink. SO THEY’RE IN LOVE!!!111″. I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or headesk. ANd the amuto responses were just as bad.
People need to accept Amuto is cannon. BUT people especially need to accept that not everyone needs to love Amuto just because it’s cannon.

Anyway, this episode was beautiful. No, I didn’t watch it, but I can tell from your screencaps. From the cute shota-prince sparkles to the gorgeous moonlit amuto scene, this episode was wonderful.
I always giggle and smile when Amu fangirls over Tadase. It show’s her adorable little girl side, and I know I’d be doing the same if I was an elementary school student in SC. But yeah. I don’t think I could support Tadamu anymore. Don’t laugh, but I have fallen in love with Tadami. The age difference isn’t very big~! D: I think it’s they same age difference as Amua nd Ikuto have..? Oh well. I just love my crack couples.

all the parts with Tadase made me want to barf. how could he be so dense to NOT know Amu was Amulet Heart. i felt so bad for Ikuto having to listen to all that…confession stuff. that lasted like 4 hours.
i thought i was going to have a bigger problem with the age thing….but then i am reminded of sailor moon and realized the numbers COULD be bigger x_X
i wish Amu would have been nicer to Ikuto though…she was the one who kicked him out of the house.

After reading through the comments on here… I think I’m the only one who cried during this episode? (Or at least part of it… ^_^;; )
It broke my heart to see Ikuto listening into the confession with Amu and Tadase. How he just closed his eyes at that one part.
But when it got to at night where Ikuto says “So Tadase Loves You” and onwards, I wasn’t fan-girling or squeeing or whatever. I was crying because after Amu’s reaction when he says “I do. You” and his face expression and then him reflected in her eyes and that expression he gives after the part where it shows Amu looking at him… my heart broke.
I compared the two confessions. The Amuto one seems to have the most serious feel to it. And it was kind of sad in a way too. Whereas, the Tadamu one was more “dokidoki” and blushing and all that sparkly crap.
But really, did the Amuto one need the sparkles? I think it sufficed without it because you don’t need sparkles to show love.
And I think the expression Amu gave after Tadase’s confession where her hair falls in front of her face and stuff… I didn’t see it as shy and embarrassed. I saw it as a kind of regretful and embarrassed expression because maybe the confession didn’t have as much as an impact as she thought it would have, or maybe it didn’t mean as much to her anymore? I guess it shows she’s slowly growing out of her Tadase crush?
Also, this has been a thought I’ve had lately, but doesn’t it make Amuto more apparent if you consider the following? The Tadase confession has been resolved, and Amu accepts it, and in chapter whatever, Amu and Tadase shook on being friends.
But the Ikuto confession was left just kind of out there, and that problem hasn’t been resolved yet. It could be left for the end if Amu brings it up again. It just feels like that confession needs more recognition, and the only way I see that be possible would be if Amu confronts Ikuto at the end and they end up together. It feels like they left that important part for a big finale where Amu and Ikuto become the official pair.

Actually I encountered that pairing recently and I thought, “That’s not so bad” because it is kind of interesting how the age difference is the same. I couldn’t seriously support it until I know how Ami would act when she’s older. The only reason I think Amuto works is because they seem like they’re on the same level as far as maturity goes (or at least they’re close). Right now with Ami’s current personality I can’t even imagine what she’d be like when she’s older.

(Ignoring the fact that it has now appeared in shoujo manga)

There’s also that “unspoken” rule in shoujo that if the older guy “waits” it’s automatically okay! But yeah…Sailor Moon…I’ve had to point that out to a few people who tried to say age differences like that don’t happen in shoujo (and lolz, CCS’s manga especially).
Yeah. Amu seems really mean because of that, doesn’t she? (I guess being called fat by someone you potentially like really hurts your ego…)
Lea-chan: Ah…I’d say you probably were. I might have too if I hadn’t read the manga so long ago and wasn’t sick. Then again I was a lot sadder when I watched it than squealy~ when I went back to talk about it. Because then the initial impact is over…so then you see the good smaller points and want to get excited with everyone.
Then the wait is also just more likely to make you more excited than sad (because you’re just too happy to see it).
But yeah…I agree with most of what you’re saying here. The episode was sad. I still was happy that we got closer to the ultimate goal.
I would disagree on Amu not being shy and embarassed though, as much as I would love to agree with you since I don’t want Tadamu and would love to have Amu filled with regret. There’s two reasons for this…
1. Amu got shy and embarrassed when Kairi confessed. Confessions are just embarrassing and especially at that age she doesn’t really know what to do or how to respond.
2. Even if she doesn’t like Tadase now necessarily, the fact that she “admired” and treated him, well the way I’m always calling her a fangirl I’d say a celebrity is a good way to put it, would be enough to make her embarrassed. I mean, imagine a celebrity confessing to you!
Yeah. For story development, after this point Amuto seems so muhc more likely, because the resolution is still open. Wouldn’t you save the end pair’s resolution for the end as a big finish? I always tend to think that when a guy confesses before the other, he’s done for unless the girl accepts it in a very direct, certain way (and depending on the type of series even that won’t be enough until the other guy gets completely rejected).

Wow! This episode was filled with pure epic cuteness!
I’m a glad we were given so much Amutoness. I was listening to the BG music when Amu woke up and noticed Ikuto on her bed; the music was the same one from episode 64 (Amu dreaming about Ikuto scene 
). I thought Amu’s dream was gonna come true 
… Oh well there was plenty of extra Amutoness to make up for that 
The two confessions, well first of all I don’t support Tadamu but to me Tadase is okay, I thought the confession was cute; made me go ‘oh how nice’. Ikuto’s confession just made me want to cry for some reason to me the scene was emotional so instead of ‘fangirl squeal’, I ‘fangirl cried’. Oh and the music that played during Ikuto’s confession almost reminded me of Sailor Moon but it was such a nice tone to the scene. I hope it comes out in the next OST.

Ok, I finally got around to watching 74, and I actually liked two things so far.
The epic catboy throw into the closet, wow, she really threw him like a ragdoll
and the “Will you let me love you?” part from Ikuto. I’ll give it to Satelite that I always thought he said the line differently until I heard him actually ’say’ it. The mixed sarcasticness and jealously really work, and I hadn’t gotten that feel until I watched it. So yay!
And I loved the tackle glomp in animation aswell ^^
Ahh I really am liking it actually animated, wow suprise!
But the cookies at the end creeped me out they were glowing! D: haha I think I’ll wait to watch 75 till next week when it’s legal for me

OMG I loved this, I was giggling and everything throughout it! Except for the whole Tadase bit
… I am in such a jam with Shugo Chara, I am a die-hard Amuto fan… or maybe just Ikuto, my ultra-cute bishie… but my best friend hates him for some odd reason! Totally strange, but it is the same with every manga/anime we read… maybe 2 guys we both like total 
. Back on target, why couldn’t Ikuto stay in the bed like usual, though?~ He had in the earlier episodes~ And I’m kinda bummed they messed up my favoritest chapter ever~ (basically all the ones with him in her room are my favorites…>.<) He should’ve stayed there and cuddled… it would’ve been so cuuuuute!

Man, Ikuto is the greatest. If you ask me, he’s a little too sexy for the overall feel of the anime, but i guess thats what makes it interesting. Anyways… I dont think I’ve ever been as obsessed about a male character! Even Death the Kid can’t compare. (If you don’t know who he is, go check him out. He’s pretty friggin awsome.)

Also the fact that I don’t even bash Tadase, just often provide critique on his relationship with Amu may have something to do with it. I can understand how you wouldn’t get it because you probably can’t even spell critique.
