The Joys of Marathoning

marathon00

Yay~ Certain circumstances all happening in a row finally lead to me being able to marathon a lot of the anime I’d been talking about getting to “eventually”. Series I’d been putting off watching since Christmas or for possibly two years now (I watched 20/25 episodes and it took me two years to get to the last five episodes!).

Ah. It’s so refreshing. In this case, putting a hold on my blogging caused me to enjoy my anime hobby more. It just goes to show you, whenever your hobby starts feeling like a chore, it’s time to take a break. Following that advice is what’s caused me to love writing for so long I’m sure. :) *in a very good mood*

-

So it kind of started when I made the decision to not force myself to blog when I don’t want to. For me, I’ve been doing episodic blogging for too marathon01long so it was wearing on me a little bit. Especially since right now I was doing three series at once and all of them cause me to ramble unnecessarily. White Album, Shugo Chara, and Clannad…all of which it’s difficult to find something “new” or unique to say (meaning something everyone else isn’t going to say).

But I caught a break when White Album’s sixth episode turned out to be so boring that I just said “screw it” and decided to skip it. I used to do that. That’s the only way I managed to get through 24 episodes of…that. Now, of course White Album is on hold for blogging until…I feel like blogging it again.

As for Clannad, well a triple post will be coming up sometime soon. Right now all I have to say is, “Ushio~!”

So like I was saying, I decided to take a break. I’ve been doing that more recently, but usually that’s lead to me working more on my outline (I’m 2/3 of the way done. I went from 1/4 to 2/3 in just the past month). However, recently I was in the mood to really watch anime.

Like, in the same mood I used to get when I was fifteen. I’d find out about a series, watch the first episode, then proceed to download and watch every other episode as quickly as I could. I was lucky if an anime lasted a week. When I got DVDs they never lasted more than a day (I know I watched 26 episode Fruits Basket in one day).

What got me back in that mood? Well as a wild guess I’d say finally finishing Shakugan no Shana had something to do with it.

-

shana01

I finished it on Wednesday night (2/11) or perhaps early, early Thursday morning. The way I had to finish it is enough to give me a nostalgic feeling.

See, I got the boxset with the intention of watching it only when I was sick in bed. And that’s what I did. Though, actually good health was on my side (for once) and I didn’t end up sick in bed that often. But Monday I was too sick to go to school and so I stayed in bed and I watched…a lot of it.

Then I somehow ended up at episode 20 by Wednesday. I woke up with enough time before class to watch some of the episodes. I got to episode 23…and then I had to leave.

I got to the episode before the last one! Then I had to go to school! ARGH!

That used to happen to me a lot more often when I was going to school (when I was fifteen specifically, since that was the last full year I had of school). I’d get to a really good episode with a cliffhanger and then…goodbye~ I really had the worst of luck with my anime-viewing. Or maybe the fact that I always tried to squeeze in those extra episodes before an appointment are to blame. ^_^;

shana03

Also, the story gave me a sense of nostalgia about the anime I used to marathon. The “DVD Anime” as I think of them in my head. The anime I specifically want to watch on DVD these days. There’s something about watching the story in bed on a TV that makes it just better. They’re also acceptable just as marathons.

I have some anime I’ve watched on DVD for the first time that I wouldn’t even specifically call a DVD Anime. Like Haruhi and Gurren Lagann. I saw both of them on DVD while I was laying down in bed, but I can imagine myself enjoying them just as much or more if I watched them week by week.

It’s not so much the actual story, but something about how the story progresses that makes a “DVD Anime” for me. It’s hard to explain. But Shakugan no Shana had that and I enjoyed it very much.

On the series specifically…I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it so much because it felt like everyone who had seen it was telling me how lame it got once the love triangle got involved. I can’t help but think everyone was over-dramatizing how horrible it was so I wouldn’t be disappointed by it. Like how we Shugo Chara fangirls will watch the fillers but warn everyone else to stay far, far away. You don’t know how they’re going to like it.

Or something like that~ I could be off entirely.

I really don’t have much else to say though…well except Wilhelmina was my favorite character (and then Shana…and then nobody because everyone else was likable, but not really enough to warrant any favorite status).

-

mtoradora01

Anyway, after my nostalgic fifteen-year-old mode was awakened by Shana, I sat down and went through all of the episodes of ToraDora I had gotten behind with. I suppose I was anxious to see more good JC Staff anime since I’d been more familiar with their crap.

On a sidenote for ToraDora, I think I like Minori the most after looking back at her past odd behavior and seeing her…well being quite cute in episode 20. Then I like Ami and then Taiga. But damn…I really don’t like one girl much more than the other. They’re all great. It’s just about a three-way tie. (And that’s all I really have to say on ToraDora. Thank goodness I don’t need to force myself for Weekly Anime right now.)

Then after ToraDora I wanted moar! But I took a break so I could download more for my sudden appetite for anime. I burned some anime already sitting on my computer onto DVDs so I could take it with me that weekend (I went on a trip that also contributed to my SUPER marathoning).

-

corda01

Then I decided to set my sights on music-playing bishes. That’s right La Corda d’Oro. Because I watched 20 episodes of it not too long after it finished airing and…stopped for one reason or another. But now I’ve finished.

Ah…that’s a real anime for fangirls. I had forgotten that I used to have giggle fits for bishies until I started having giggle fits while watching that anime. I really can’t wait for the sequel. You have to guess which bishie is my favorite. If any girls guess wrong, you can’t be my friends anymore.

You know watching that anime made me realize that Brand New Breeze is shockingly absent from my Top Ten Openings list, even though I always, always watched it when I was first watching the anime (this time too). Bishies and wind? Hell yeah. It’s also just a really nice song.

My oh my, I feel like I could go on about that anime forever (it is made for fangirling), but I’ll leave it alone for now. I’ll have time to go on about it in the Spring. Ohohohoho~ I’m so looking forward to it.

Though my one comment on the series would be: Did anyone even win the concours? Seriously.

zl01

Then after La Corda D’Oro I started thinking about other anime I left unfinished. So I decided to watch the last two episodes of Zombie Loan. The ones that you had to wait for the DVDs for. Somehow, I didn’t end up watching the episodes at the time (even though I’d seen the first 11), so I decided to do it now.

I liked the last two episodes, but it made me realize why we ended up with 11 rather than 13 after the series was inexplicably cut down from 20-something to half that. The last two episodes are even more open-ended than episode 11. New rivals show up and then BAM. Nothing.

Basically, it just made me really, really want to get back to reading the manga. Because it felt like we were finally getting to the real story right before it fell apart.

Too bad I remember Zombie Loan being confusing to read as a manga, so I’d like to actually have the printed version rather than a scanlation. But I have no money…so it will all just have to wait.

-

nanatsuiro01

Then! Then I watched Nanatsuiro Drops. The only full series I watched on my little anime-watching binge.

It’s been at the top of my watch-list for a while, purely because it looked…way too cute.

And it is, it really is. Sumomo is especially…ah, just so darn cute. Oh, and I know everyone likes to go on about how cute other anime’s chibi scenes are, but this one wins. No contest. Just…the cutest chibi stuff ever.

The only downside is that all of that cuteness comes with a heavy dose of corniness. I get the feeling that if I watched it week by week it would start to get on my nerves. Especially since one thing in the anime did get on my nerves, even watching it all bunched together. The freakin’ classmates. Their “supposed” friends. Every time they’d interfere with Sumomo and Haru I felt like throwing all of them into a wall so they’d shut up. Freakin’ annoying!

AGH! Yeah…that must have been incredibly annoying watching weekly, because I know that marathoning anime tends to make annoying things less noticable. But I watched it on my dad’s laptop and every time one of the friends started talking I felt like throwing the laptop. I never did, but I had to pause it a few times to let my irritation pass.

nanatsuiro02

But um yeah, seeing as I’m not really meaning for this to be a review, I’ll just leave it as…this anime was really, really cute. It’s really easy for me to love any mahou shoujo series as long as it doesn’t fall into to just an episodic monster-of-the-week series. I like all mahou shoujo with a story (and/or romance). Whether it’s originally aimed at girls (Shugo Chara!) or actually boys (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha).

Any downsides to the anime really just came from the staff trying to hard. Too much drama, too much corniness…you know. But it was an enjoyable anime anyway. It was the good kind of corniness mostly, but the drama got annoying with some of the crying sometimes. Still, it was all cute and I liked it quite a bit. I really liked the ending. Oh I’m such a sucker for a happy ending after all. That’s why I still like fairytales despite how…unrealistic they are.

I really think I want to play the game for this someday (as I can see the corniness going down when the audience is really just supposed to be guys), but…not the computer version. I think H-scenes would kind of warp my “oh this is so cute” feeling. Maybe the PS2 version…someday…if I get the chance.

shana04

I think marathoning anime is now my definite preferred way to watch anime. If you just plow through something at your own convenience, any self-imposed stress that comes along with watching anime disappears. It leads to a longer love for anime…I think. At least, switching to marathons every once in a while will make sure you only watch anime that you want to, rather than watching something because it’s on.

So I get the feeling that I’ll be picking up less than usual come Spring. I may show interest in more than what I pick up, but I might just wait for those anime to finish (or at least until they’re halfway finished).

One thing I’m positive of though…is that I’m always going to watch a shoujo anime as it’s airing. I love my shoujo. And shoujo is fun to watch weekly (I think). Just like how I have the most fun reading a shoujo manga once a month (okay this is a lie, but it certainly ups the fangirling by creating “kyaa”-inducing cliffhangers that torture you for a month).

So I suppose my next question is…what should I marathon next? I’m trying to decide between three anime.

  • Shakugan no Shana II – I am aware it’s supposed to really suck for the first half. But I still want to watch it.
  • Bokura ga Ita – Anything I’ve accidentally seen from this anime makes me smile so logically, I want to watch it.
  • Hatenkou Yuugi – I started liking Rahzel just by images while looking around for Xiao Jie’s Shoujo-Only Moe Tournament (the obsessive linking and promotion continues) and I’ve heard good things.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Those are the three main ones I’m considering right now based on my mood. But I have a pretty long “Plan to Watch” list on MAL. Even after you take out things that haven’t aired.

Anyway, I’m going to watch whatever wins the poll (it closes on Monday). For now I can’t watch anything outside of what’s airing, because I have been neglecting my vacation homework.  Stupid paper on “Heroes” and “Leaders” bah. I hate vague topics. :x

  1. Being able to watch an entire series as fast or as slow as you want is nice most of the time, though sometimes it’s good to have the suspense of a cliff hanger and having to wait to find out what happens. Still, wasting away a Saturday or Sunday morning is how I like to watch.

  2. I think you’re right. Shugo Chara is mainly episodeic so it can be watched week to week, but I have a hard time keeping up with Skip Beat and White Album. Shows with continuing storylines almost need to be marthoned.

La Corda D’Ore and Toradora pictures remind me that I need to catch up on both those series. (I have two guesses to your fave bishie in the series, but I don’t want to say in case I’m wrong.)

I like the Zombie Loan manga better then the anime. It’s definitely worth reading.

  3. The Love Triangle of SnS kind of gets annoying in the second series when they go on about it for half the show (up until episode 12 or something) with nothing particularly interesting ever happening. But it’s still a good series in general and I’d suggest it rather than the other two (mostly because I haven’t seen them  ).

Oh wait, I have seen Hatenkou Yuugi, I wouldn’t really suggest it. Nothing too special in terms of anything, really.

But wow, that’s a lot of shows. I need to learn more about DVD burning as it’s always enjoyanle to just lie back in bed and watch a show and I’ve got tonnes of backlog to get through. So relaxing~

Should definitely get the Zombie-Loan manga when you get some money; I’ve been bribing my sister for some since I finished catching up on Shugo Chara (since it was the only other Peach-Pit series I was interested in). Really like the direction it’s going in, and the translations are the typical awesome-ness that is Yen Press.

Anyway, I have to agree with you: marathoning is the way to go! That way you don’t have to wait a week, forget about it, become uninterested, and never get around to watching it again.

That’s how I normally watch my anime. I can’t really watch it any other way. XD It’s probably because I’m always so late on the anime bandwagon that I only start watching a series after it’s been completely aired. Plus, my local library has a pretty good stock of anime. :D

Cool! You watch La Corda D’oro too! I like Yunoki-san. For some reason I really love guys with really long hair. I love Nagijiko too! I also like Len-kun and Shimizu-kun too. OOH!!!! And that one guy who I can’t remember his name and Hihara. Pretty much all the guys. Ok I’m done now.

  10. Hehe, sounds like you had a lot of fun. ^_^ I personally, enjoy marathoning anime as well, because you can just plow through the anime when you are anxious for the next one, instead of waiting a week going, “Nuu!!~” then having the risk of losing interest by the end of the week.

Ah, I remember marathoning Shakugan no Shana over the summer, and Nanatsuiro Drops. I only got to watch a while back a little of the other series mentioned. I agree that Nanatsuiro Drops is really cute, but corny too. Ah the plushie transformations are really cute. >.< Haha, I like how Wilhelmina is so emotionless throughout the series. In Shana-tan (which you should definitely watch if you haven’t, absolute dose of cuteness) she is quite funny to me. I enjoyed the series throughout, and I really did not care about the love triangle because it was kind of obvious to me he’d end up with Shana. La Corda D’Oro was a series I never finished just because I couldn’t bring myself too. Now I think I should get back to it. I’m…afraid I might get the guess wrong, lol. I think I know, but I’ll just keep it to myself.

ToraDora, ah I’m enjoying that series a lot now…It is sort of hard to say quite a lot of stuff about ToraDora, which explains my difficulty in doing so. I mean, I had an idea on what to say, then when I started posting, it was so little…haha.

I’m disappointed SnS2 is winning your poll; even though I loved SnS, the second season goes through a lot of junk. Not that I have a problem with the effective genre switch to shounen romance anime, which I think is what puts a lot of people off without even giving it a chance, but it’s just not done well (though I think other people have said all this before). Anyway, I voted Bokura ga Ita. I’m not a huge fan of Yano, and the art style takes a bit of getting used to, but the whole thing is highly cute. Hatenkou Yuugi is … well, I can barely remember most of the plot, but Rahzel is as awesome as she looks, and her guys aren’t too bad themselves.

    I really miss your Toradora summaries, but I understand not wanting to spend extra time blogging it. I totally agree with you on the girls situation; they’re all pretty awesome in their own way. Minorin was way too cute when blowing Takasu off! Also, I’m hoping Ami gets some better screen time before the end of the series though, as she’s mostly been reduced to bitter comments about how stupid Takasu is. ;_;

I’ll have to take a look at Zombie Loan manga. I’d been debating picking that up, but if you thought highly of the anime, the manga ought to be worth a shot.

  12. Kiseki

Ah… Nanatsuiro Drops. It’s nice that you enjoyed the ending. :3

    How corny it was is irritating, but ahh… the beautiful animation. ;__;

I agree that the staff tried too hard. Eroge doesn’t translate well into a show for elementary school girls.

But marathons are fun~ I’m amazed on how you got so much done in so little time. The most I could do was Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne in a weekend.

    February 21st, 2009

  13. super rats: Yeah, I think I prefer marathoning, but there’s definitely the series that are more enjoyable with cliffhangers. Some series just end up being more enjoyable when you can overthink and talk about them.

warriorhope: Yeah, shows with continuing storylines are often best marathoned. Though there are some exceptions (like I thought Gurren Lagann would be better weekly, but it has a continuing plot…after the beginning).

Oh, good. I’m not the only one that fell behind with La Corda D’Oro despite it being a completed series. (For my fave bishie, the best hint would be my extreme love for violins)

Omisyth: Well it got kind of annoying in the epilogue for SnS, so I can believe that. Half of the series focusing on that…I can see why everyone warns about the second season.

On Hatenkou Yuugi all I hear is how awesome the characters (mainly Rahzel) can be, but I have no idea what the plot is (I’m assuming it’s nothing special).

OMFG so cute. I really want to add Wagaya no Oinari-sama back into the watchlist now. I stopped watching because I heard it was licensed and I figured it would be a good DVD show, but now…well it’s taking too damn long! More DVD burning for me (I’m going to run out of my stash if I keep going on this way).

Shirachi: Hmm, well I actually may be able to get a couple of volumes of the manga today because I have a 40% off coupon! Yay! Too bad that it feels like the type of story where a couple of volumes won’t be enough.

Karen: Oh, how I remember marathoning during summers too. It was so much fun. I should get back to that this summer (or maybe exercise more lol).

Effyness: I still have my marathoning habits, so I usually tend to watch that way as well. Even when it’s airing weekly. I accidentally skip a few weeks than plow through it in one sitting.

Aww…my library’s anime stock sucks. Actually I own quite a bit of what they have (like Fruits Basket) so it’s completely useless to me.

Amutofan123: Yeah, all the guys were great. Well, there were two I didn’t like, but I’ll keep them to myself to avoid any fangirl troubles.

Cure Peach: That reminds me, I really should get around to Twilight someday to see what the fuss is about.

blossomgirl101: EXACTLY! Marathoning anime can be so much fun. Take a break when you want to and keep going when you want to.

Oh I did watch Shana-tan, it came with the DVDs so it’s the very first thing I watched once I finished (though I found some of the jokes hit and miss, it was usually very adorable). Yeah, the love triangle seems unnecessary, especially since the title is “Shakugan no Shana” and you know…it’s about Shana.

Guessing? You mean about guessing who she ends up with? Well…I’d give you odds on whether you’d guess right, but that would spoil the series. I just say don’t worry and finish it. Because the special (or whatever it is) is coming out in Spring.

ToraDora…it really is troublesome to blog. It’s kind of like it speaks for itself, isn’t it? Especially with Ami’s observations and the narration.

teiglin: Yeah, it sounds like it’s that way. Well, I’m going to watch it no matter what eventually. And whatever wins second I’ll watch second and third, third. If I stay in my marathoning mode it shouldn’t take too long.

Well with ToraDora part of the problem is there’s nothing to say since it’s all said by the characters. But I afree on what you said. Minori = way too cute (especially in episode 20) and Ami needs more screentime and more awesometime in her screentime.

It’s good a good interesting story for a shounen, action series is what I should say about Zombie Loan specifically. It starts out slow, but all of the characters with these crazy personalities makes it really enjoyable.

Kiseki: Oh yes. The animation was beautiful. I can believe I neglected to mention that, but yeah…beautiful.

No…eroge doesn’t seem to translate that well. But I would have felt messed up watching Nanatsuiro drops if it had the eroge feeling while watching the anime. It’s fine in game, but Sumomo is too loli-ish for it to feel right…somehow.

I did Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne in a weekend too! That was fun. That’s definitely one series that is best to plow through in a marathon. When you stop to think about it you find so many inconsistencies.

Haha, Twilight is too over-hyped to bother reading. Well, you know, only if you like your books to have a plot, and characters that make sense. Bella is a mary-sue, Edward is just.. ugh. It starts to feel like his only purpose is saving Bella when she gets in trouble, like the total damsel in distress she is. I would skip down to the catalog for some fun.

  16. Thanks, now you make me want to marathon something. ;)

I would definitely suggest Wagaya no Oinari-sama. I’m currently watching it again with my sister and I’m loving it even more the second time through and I think this title would work well marathoning it. I don’t like to buy anime dvds if I don’t know if I’ll like the series or not (to many partially complete series sitting on my shelves) therefore I watch fansubs to figure out what’s worth buying on DVDs. For me, this show is a series that’s worth buying when it eventually comes here. I guess what I’m saying is I wouldn’t feel bad about watching it now that it’s licensed – just if you really like it, buy it on DVD when you can to support the truly good anime shows.

..Somehow the 2nd half of my post was cut out. :c

I used to love marathoning things. Actually, it’d be all I do; I’d never watch a currently airing anime, because I never wanted to wait a week for the next episode to come out, or I just liked to deal with all the retarded fillers in one sitting.

But now, I can’t sit through more than 5 episodes at a time – I don’t have a long enough attention span for that. The last thing I watched in a few days was CCS, and once it hit like episode 50 I was starting to get bored, but only because I knew Sakura and Syaoran weren’t getting anywhere soon. I hate when shows make you know something is going to happen, but at the same time you know they’re just going to put it off until the last episode.

I tried marathoning Shana before the 2nd season started, but I got so bored after a handful of episodes. :c

Haha, I guess there are ups and downs to everything. More easily bored if you’re unhappy with a series, but you get less annoyed by fillers and everyhing.

And I do need to catch up on ToraDora!. I got bored during Taiga’s arc. :c This was a good reminder.

  18. Sammy: :vangry: I would rant about you, but this isn’t my blog. And have you ever read the full series? I would summarize, but that would be pointless because I would give out spoilers. Basically, Edward is cute, no hot. And Bella is NOT Mary-sue. You call a clumsy, girl Mary sue? Mary Sues are perfect girls who get their way. Bella almost NEVER gets her way. So please don’t call her a Mary-sue. It makes me mad.

  20. Cure Peach: While I appreciated your positive opinion on Twilight and recommendation to read it, I want to ask you not to challenge someone else’s opinion on it.

More than hearing about Twilight, I’ve heard about Twilight fangirls and in a very bad light. By starting up an argument with someone in my comments, you’re kind of fitting into that bad light. Please stop.

Also, not to add into the argument, but Mary-Sue’s are often clumsy. There’s two type of Mary-Sue’s. PERFECT girls and completely imperfect girls that still somehow are seen as incredibly attractive and desirable. Also, clumsy is thrown into perfect girls as a “flaw” so that people can point it out when someone accuses the character of being too perfect to be believable.

Samy: Well, yeah I’ve heard that too, a lot of it actually, but even hearing that just makes me want to read it more. *loves crap and making fun of it* It’s why I started a blog.

Was it cut out by a Twilight fangirl rage conspiracy? Oh no wait, then they’d cut out the first part.

It’s usually five episode at a time for me too when I’m marathoning these days. It’s all I have patience for, but then I end up picking it up again soon. I’m going back to my marathoning habits I think.

CCS is…hard to try to watch all bunched together. A really enjoyable series, but it’s something I think should be spread out some what.

Shana’s first few episodes are pretty boring. I got bored after them too.

Yup. That sounds about right for marathoning. Good and bad.

    steelbound: Then marathon away~

The thing about Wagaya no Oinari-sama though is that I don’t think it’s the type of series I would personally want on DVD unless I watched it for the first time on DVD. I’m having a bit of a dilemma there. I think it’s the type of series I’d like to watch again two years or so after I finish it, but…I’m not sure. Eh.

    February 21st, 2009

  21. I see where you’re coming from here :D I’m going to try and download a series, then put it onto a disc, so I can watch it without getting distracted by other anime/websites. I might ask for some anime DVDs for my birthday, actually…

And about blogging. Don’t overdo it! No one is going to complain if you skip an episode or two when it comes to episodic blogging (apart from some SC fangirls ^^’). I’m not going to tell you how to run your blog, though, so just do whatever you feel comfortable doing.

(And Twilight – the only qualms I have with it is the writing, but apart from that, the plot is OK. It’s like a badly scripted anime that you can’t draw your eyes away from, basically. XD It’s really lovey-dovey and cutesy at times, so if you’re like me, you’ll enjoy it.)

Yeah, I see what you mean. But this leads me to ask a question: how DO people find out when an anime specifically airs, anyway? :?

And the stock of my one particular library is pretty good, but what’s even better is we have this system called the Minuteman Network, I think. Any book, DVD, CD or whatever that you can’t find in one library, you can look it up in the catalog and see if another library in the system has it. If it does, you can reserve it, then it gets delivered to the library closest to you where you can return it, then it gets sent back to its original library.

  23. Wilhemina and of course Shana are my favorite characters on Shakugan no Shana too ^^. They’re both so awesome! I was really annoyed by Yoshida though…

And La Corda~~~ Teh music-playing bishies galore~~ Lol I really enjoyed both watching and listening to it. OMG Hihara-kun~~~~and Tsuchi-something-i-forgot-whose-name-is… XDDD And LEN (violins + blue hair is such AWESOME WIN)!!! And I hate Kanako for having so much bishies in her life!!! Lol.

And Bokura ga Ita is really cute and sweet. I can’t say anymore than that but I appreciated the manga more. Hatenkou Yugi was alright though.. I found it funny XD.

Marathon-ing is so much fun. I really need to pick up a series too besides from Ookiku Furikabutte and DNAngel (which I had marathoned for like, a hundred times already XD… but awesome anime really.) I have yet to watch Zombie Loan and Nanatsuiro Drops too. They both look interesting in different ways.

I completely understand what you said about La Corda d’Oro! It was fangirl at first sight!! I love all of the characters, ESPECIALLY the dazy little cellist, he maybe prince of all bishies but he’s so cute! I just see his face and “awwwwwwwww cutiee!” [high pitched] I’m only on the fisrt few episodes but if two certain people don’t get together I will go on a murderous rampage… red and blue look so good together… [hint hint, wink wink] the music is so nice it actually makes me want to practice my clarinet… that is a strange feeling :?:

I just took out the first volume of Shakugan no Shana, and now that I look at this post again, I realize one of the girls in these pictures are Shana! ;D Woot. I like the series so far, gotta read Vol. 2.
