Nuuuu~ I don’t like this at all. I’m not going to have some little hissy fit over it, but I don’t like it at all! Stupid Satelight, teasing me by giving me what I want and then taking it away the very next week! Of course, I understand the reasons for it, but still!

*sigh* Other than that certain things ticked me off this week that wouldn’t tick anyone else off (except me). But at least the first minute (or maybe even 30 seconds) of the episode was good (really good).

Quickly, what’s ticking me off is new Shugo Chara! bloggers seemingly popping up every week. Now I love having lots of people blogging the series and many of my readers have their own blogs and you guys should know I love reading your blogs (even if I can’t always comment because I run out of things to say with my own rambling).

What bothers me is the lack of diversity. With so many bloggers you’d think there would be someone that’s not a crazy amuto and Ikuto fangirl like the rest of us. What’s great about blogging is discussions from different sides, but it feels like I go to a lot of blogs after I post my episode and see the exact same thing written in the exact same format. -_-;; It’s not bad, it’s just boring.

It’s my own personal issue, and it made me write a lot of random extra analyzation that I might have ignored other weeks just because I’m hoping to bring up something new. I’m tired of reading the same stuff and I don’t want my blog to get lost in the same stuff.

*sigh* Well whatever. I guess I just wanted to let fellow bloggers I might not be commenting on all the 6+ blogs that cover Shugo Chara in my reader anymore.

Summary

Amu wakes up to a dream about Ikuto still being in her room and in her bed (and having him call her cute and watching her while she sleeps lol~) and is disappointed to remember that Ikuto left. She goes through the day spaced out because Ikuto went missing, but can’t tell anyone why because Ikuto staying at her house was a secret.

During this time Lulu and Nana are looking for “lost” children to do their ?-egg thing and they talk about Lulu’s mom and then what Lulu herself would wish for (but she won’t answer because she’s shy or some crap).

The next day, Amu gets distracted by some mystery circles (supposedly caused by aliens) showing up and the Guardians all go to check it out. It turns out they were made by Nana (though they don’t know that) so they all go home thinking it would be nice if they were real. After everyone leaves Lulu meets a girl named Nayuta who believes in UFO’s and the two talk for a while. Lulu doesn’t see her as a good target because she doesn’t seem lost, but Nana thinks it’s because they can be friends.

Meanwhile Ikuto is wandering around, still sick and hiding from Easter, but he won’t go back to Amu’s house. The next day Amu wakes up deciding to not worry about Ikuto anymore and is in super GENKI~ optimistic mode. Lulu meets Nayuta again who has become lost since no one believes in UFO’s besides her and she reluctantly tranforms her egg into an ?-egg. Amu shows up on the scene (after Lulu hid) and vows that she won’t let Easter find the embryo by using the dreams of kids. She beats Nayuta’s ebil chara-nari with her usual attacks (both Amulet Heart and Spade) and her mahou shoujo speech (which also affects Lulu) and returns the girl to normal.

After that Lulu and Nana head home with Nana saying Amu says good things sometimes, but Lulu being stubborn and pretending not to agree or care.

Thoughts

I actually kind of enjoyed the episode (even the filler) but I’m not really that into it. The beginning was awesome though!

Also overdone screencapping for any scrap of Amuto in this episode because it is what I do best.

Hahaha~ Fluttering curtians with a white glow present. I knew what was happening right away so I say back with a big smile on my face because of what happened in episode 25. I don’t know how many people have been reading since my livejournal, but my statements for that episode were something along the lines of…

I…absolutely exploded when I saw this. I already saw one of these two screencaps (the smiling Ikuto one) but Ikuto getting her attention like that was just…OMG!  I had to pause it while I had my fangirl fit and rewatched it a dozen times. Each of them I completely missed what Ikuto said, my inner-fangirl was screaming too loudly. Even rewatching it now I have no idea what he says though I’m sure I know at least some of the words…my poor overheated head just can’t process them.

Kyaaa~! Because! Because! Amu thinks about Ikuto a lot, but it’s always remembering! The Ikuto inside of Amu’s head is doing such a thing…meaning that of course that’s what Amu-chan wants! Yes~! OHMYGODYES!!!! This one was just…awesome. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting it like I usually am…or maybe because the Ikuto inside Amu’s head doesn’t call her a “perverted kid” or stuff like that and it was just super love mode. Oh god…see anime…you just give me out of the blue moments like this and I’ll never insult you again…though it has to be consistent.

You don’t have to read that btw. Just know that now I can’t insult Satelight this week. Dreams turn my head into a wonderful fog. I am so weak for a smiling Ikuto using his nice voice and…kyaa~

So what will follow will be overdone screencapping for the dream (with minimal comments) while I live in my beautiful Amuto and Ikuto fangirl fog.

Aww…a dream. You knew it, but still…awww.

Now for a few other things, would you look at that expression on Amu’s face! Classic! And she’s hugging a pillow. Hey Amu~ what was that pillow in your dream? *goes into a corner to giggle madly*

Awww…would you look at how disappointed she  is.

“A dream, huh?”

Yes Amu…a dream. But let’s take a moment to think about this dream. Because it’s really all I have to work with.

In the dream Ikuto is still with Amu in her room, which we know she wants or that he came back which she also wants. Because she’s worried about him.

He’s also smiling while watching her sleep (like a pervert would, lol), so Amu wants Ikuto to think the same about her like she does abotu him. And she wants him to think that she’s cute and stuff. And she wants him to be honest.

So a big fat, “Awwww” is in order here for me. Even if it’s just a dream in the anime, I think it says a lot about Amu’s feelings (in the anime). She likes Ikuto, but she wants him to stay with her and be more honest (and say cutely sweet things to her~). Which shows why Amu is so reluctant to accept her own feelings and why she doesn’t believe Ikuto and stuff because she doesn’t think that reality can match up to her dreams.

Ahahaha~ Of course, I just like analyzing dreams (I have since I was nine…) and I have almost no amuto to work with this week after an overload of cuteness from before. So I am going to hold onto this dream like Amu holds onto her pillow which is probably Ikuto in her dream.

Oh and one more thing (whoa so much I’ve written already) kudos to Satelight for making the dream in Amu’s perspective. Because even I, the rabid shipper over bishies fangirl had a, “*speechless* Kyaa~ Ikuto~” moment before my, “kyaa~ Amuto~” moment.

Aw. Ran is worried about Amu and her overactive imagination. Amu was in her own fog of amuto raburabu because when she left the room she fell down the stairs. Ahahaha~ How cute.

Okay. This time Amu really is spacing out thinking about Ikuto (rather than just being tired like last week).

Aww(hahaha~). She’s so cute, how she worries and gets distracted so easily. So much so that she completely forgets about her surroundings (so cute!).

…a stray cat? Really Amu? I mean logically it’s the first thing that came to mind, but considering Tadase goes, “omg Easter!” when cat ears are brought up, you really should have thought up something else. (lol, like a dog named Yori and send the fandom into a downward spiral of crack theories they think is real again. XD)

Of course no one seemed to think anything of it. Except because Nagihiko agreed with Amu and got her out of more explaining I am automatically suspicious of him because…Nagihiko pretty much knows and sees everything.

I’m just thinking too much, but because Nagi is Nagi, I still think it.

GTFO of here you secret service wannabes! You Men in Black without aliens! You federal angents without…federal stuff to do…

…Okay seriously. Just gtfo and try not to walk around in black suits and sunglasses that scream, “MUAHAHA! I’m suspicious! I’m wearing sunglasses and a black suit so you won’t recognize me because I’m up to some sketchy business! (like trying to find and kidnap a teenage boy!)”

Seriously. If you don’t want them to see you coming or to recognize you (meaning if you actually do want to find them) try not to dress in a way that says “look at me!” a Hawaiian shirt would be less noticable.

But aww…Ikuto. ;_;

At least the idiots from Easter dressing like that make it easy for Ikuto to avoid them. Since he’s sick he is obviously having a harder time of it.

Poor Amu. UFO’s mean nothing to her when she can’t help but think about Ikuto and worry about him. All she can do is sit, stare blankly, and eat “NEW” potato chips.

*sigh* I’m so torn between thinking this is all cute and thinking it’s sad. Poor Amu…(and obviously poor Ikuto as said before)

So for a break from my tears and feeling sorry for my beloved couple…here is Rima. Being cute.

I don’t know why I noticed it so easily (since she isn’t the focus at all), but my goodness she looks cute right there. I hope we get another episode sometime soon that focuses on her cuteness rather than some bitch like Saaya (which I’ll keep silent about for now because amuto dream prevents me from seeing anything wrong with Satelight).

I actually liked this filler girl for some reason. The whole UFO thing was really weird and stupid, but I expected to despise it. Somehow they mad it a rather charming storyline. The girl was a little too weird (suffering like most filler characters from having a very noticable, but one-dimensional personality) but I thought she was cute. Not annoying like cat girl from last week.

I think it had something to do with her seiyuu. Whoever voiced her sounded a little familiar I think (either that or just cute).

Also, the filler character filled the requirement for filler characters to be useful. They helped another character’s development. Of course, this time it was Lulu who is kind of a filler character herself, but…

Well Lulu got a lot of much-needed development this week so I really can’t call the episode a waste like usual. The idea that using the embryo for her mom might not be best was finally brought up. She finally was hesitant about messing with other people’s dreams. And she finally got a little personality outside of the tsundere ojou-sama label (which is an archetype I hate so much).

I don’t know if I’ll ever really like Lulu, but this episode gave me a little bit of hope (it’s at least easier for me to find her cute and charming because of Akemi Kanda voicing her).

Aww and aww… For both, “this is sad” and “this is cute” because poor Ikuto isn’t feeling well and is all alone, but Yoru’s with him and it’s just cute.

But oh. This is so depressing after having Ikuto be safe in Amu’s room. Ikuto! Come home~ Come back to Amu’s room and tease her and stuff so that both of you can stop making me go, “aww” out of sadness (oh and snuggling too pls).

Awww…(dammit out of sadness again!) Amu is lonely in her bed because she knows that she won’t wake up to Ikuto smiling at her and calling her cute.

No! No forgetting about Ikuto! You get back in that bed and wait for him to come home! (or go find him or something…)

*sigh* Demands for someone to get in bed aren’t as fulfilling as they are when the other one will be there with them soon.

Like purposely forgetting ever works. Psh. Stupid Amu-chan (or rather naive I should say). One day in a future episode she’ll hear someone mention a cat and then she’ll think of Ikuto and have to force herself to be unnaturally genki and upbeat.

Ah the scenes with Amu purposely trying to feel good and optimistic felt so unnatural. Like you were supposed to think Amu was being strong and really getting over her melancholy, but were also supposed to know that she’s not going to forget about Ikuto so soon.

*sigh* Well, I may not like Ikuto going missing, but at least Satelight is handling it in a mildly realistic way.

And there is Lulu finally showing some regret about what she’s doing! She knows (and is pretty much friends with) Amu now. Amu’s words have affected her twice. She’s gotten to know one of the children she’s messed with. Once Amu sees that Lulu has been responsible for this, Lulu will go into poser evil mode (like Kairi) and then the befriending will begin.

Another chara-nari that didn’t feel like complete and total failure. I thought that with the UFO idea we’d end up with something awful like with that rocket boy. Instead we got something a lot more like a sci-fi from the 60’s which fits pretty well.

Amu is such a goo mahou shoujo! At least here I can think Amu is being Amu (not like when she’s trying too hard to smile). Amu sees bad things happening and she wants to stop them.

Plus me, being me, I couldn’t help but think that Amu knows Easter is somehow responsible for Ikuto’s troubles, so she’s going to be extra angry at them. But I’m probably drawing conclusions that the writers didn’t even think of (because in a series like this they always like to be ovious). But still…it’s what I think (because it makes the story better).

At least Amu isn’t thinking about that at the front of her mind, but it might be in there somewhere (or she could also just be frustrated and so she’ll be angrier than usual with Easter).

Yay! Amulet Spade! Too bad it was Amulet Heart first (and Amulet Heart got more screentime). Though to be fair with the flying it was better for Amulet Heart to show up (if only they didn’t have Amulet Heart even when it’s not necessary).

My only questions is when did “Prism Music” get the same power as Angel Cradle? I don’t remember seeing that before.

And so Lulu walked away from the episode with a new lesson and some character development. Yay…I guess.

But as much as I like to talk about it and analyze that stuff, I don’t really care about Lulu. I care about Ikuto. Please make him come back Satelight! Please!

There’s a lot of ways to do it. Have Ikuto happen to see Amu and have him save her somehow (she hasn’t fallen from anything in a while), but since he’s still weak it was too much for him, so Amu has to take him home. Do something like that Satelight. Just make Ikuto come back~

Preview

Ohohohoho~ Desu.

Well…having a character that shows up regularly get the ?-egg treatment is a good idea. With it being Saaya too you get the battle of the ojou-sama thing going on wih Lulu. It’s also kind of clever that Saaya wants to be like Amu…and that it’s Amu’s own chara-nari’s.

But still! Saaya is so annoying! DX I’m almost guaranteed to hate this filler unless Satelight surprises me somehow. (And now I can insult Satelight again btw, since the episode ends with the credits)

I refuse to accept going back to random fillers while poor Ikuto is out there suffering. It’s not something we can really forget Satelight like the other times Ikuto has gone “missing” so at the very least you better keep bringing it up.

Don’t be crappy like you were back with Dia when everyone randomly kept forgetting she existed during the arc. That was so stupid.

Well, at least Lulu going after someone Amu knows (even vaguely) means that they’re trying to move her plot along. I guess that’s something…just not the something I want.
